    AMP link

I am needing an amp link. Do you happen to have one taking up space? I would like to give one a try. Thanks
  2. The trinity clutch kit uses the factory FZR fibers. I run a KG clutch factory kit in my banshees and they work fine with all 6 springs that they supply. They are cheap also. Local dealers should be able to get them.
  3. I weigh 300lbs and run +2/+1 arms with AFCO shocks sporting 150lb springs.
  4. I have one older style. I have never ran it but it doesn't look that bad. If it will work, I'll send it and you can make sure it works, then pay me $50
  5. I am needing some 1/2" reed spacers for a project. I have some 3/8 which are too thin for what I am doing. Thanks
  6. I have no idea what Kerry evens stands for. All you heard during the primaries was "we need someone that can beat bush". When you should have heard, "we need someone that can lead this country and direct it where it needs to go". In Kerry's commercials you still just HEAR him saying how he can help the country, but he doesn't give any examples of what he is going to do. Even though I don't agree with him 100%, I'll take someone that we can somewhat predict. As for Kerry's campaign, he should be running for Homecoming King. He's just trying to be the cutest and most popular. Let me hear something about how he can help me and not just be a puppet and I will change my mind. But since I don't think that will happen, I'm voting: BUSH
  7. Wolf3D was an awesome game. Anybody ever play "Rise of the Triad"? I bought this game around '95 or so. Wolf3D was the talk then and Doom 1 wasn't out yet on PC if I remember correctly. It came on 4 floppy disks. This game was awesome. It was a true 3D game. You climbed ladders, jumped on trampolines, get on top of buildings and look down, etc like you do in newer games. One weapon was a shotgun that you would see reload after each shot. Graphics were great for the era and included a lot of shading.
  8. I run engine ice also in my banshees. I wish I had a temp gauge to see the difference. Here is a link to a forum where someone that tried it in his CBR: http://www.1000rr.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1860 My 1000RR runs 230 degrees sitting in traffic just for a comparison.
  9. Where can I have a custom braided line made up at? I need one to go from the front master to the rear caliper on a +10 swingarm.
  10. American Graffitti How about this one, "THIRTY-SEVEN!!!" I can't look at the number 37 without thinking of this movie. Made in the middle 90's, it was an independent film with an actor that has been mentioned.
  11. I am 23 and also live in the sticks of MO. I have my insurance through State Farm. They are the cheapest for motorcycles. Progressive talks like they are and they even support AMA which I am a member of, but they are expensive. I managed to talk my banker into lending me the money without having full coverage insurance. Gotta love small town banks. My liability insurance is $300 a year. Full coverage would be about $2600.
  12. Rebel, I love you signature. Led, a guy I know has an '85 Kenny Roberts special (white/blue/red) that he bought about a year ago from someone for $600 and it is just as good condition as that one. I have tried to talk him out of it but he won't sell it. I thought my offer of $3000 was good, but seeing that one at $3200 with over 5 days left, I see why he turned me down.
  13. Just curious how many HQ members ride sport bikes and what do you ride? I just bought a new silver 2004 CBR1000RR saturday. I came off of a CBR600 and this 1000RR is awesome. Handling is great, power is undescribeable, and the comfort really isn't that bad even for me (6'1" 300lbs). I put 450 miles on it in the past two days and can't wait to get off work and ride some more. I love this bike (except for the speedometer doesn't work right ).
  14. I am bidding on those taper bored carbs. Is there a noticeable difference from stock to these? Are they really worth tapering?
  15. cottoneyedjoe, is that price including shipping? If I bolt it on and realize it won't work can I send it back even if I chip the paint?
  16. I still have mine for sale. I'll take $900 for the complete bike, or name a part you need and I'll give you a price.
  17. Even I thought it was funny about the overrating the "320HP" cobra. Lets go back a couple years before Mopar "got screwed". 1963 to be exact when Ford released the 427 SOHC motor nicknamed the "Cammer". Since the 409 and whatever hemi Mopar ran then weren't anywhere close to turning the power of the overhead cammed ford, NASCAR added to the rule books that all engines must have a cam-in-block design. What i am saying is think about how much more awesome the musclecar era would have been if Ford could have ran with this. Ford could have built a better name for themselves in NASCAR which would have propted them to offer more performance cars in the late 60's. There would have been even more players on the field. Instead this was a big blow to Ford because all the time and money that it took to design the first overhead cam V-8 was now down the drain. As you know back then you had to drop the motor you were racing into production cars. Why should they keep trying to improve their engines if NASCAR could so easily change the rulebook and disqualify them. If you look at the history, Ford then started getting heavy into TransAm racing. TransAm racing was more overseas and not really centered around americans like NASCAR and it didn't make the impact in america like NASCAR did. It wasn't until the intoduction of the BOSS 429 when ford started designing motors again for NASCAR racing. By this time the musclecar era was coming to a close. While Ford was out of it, sharp looking cars from GM and Mopar had dominated sales the last few years. Us ford fans are left with the mustang and a few oversized cars such as the Cyclone and Torino's.
  18. My point wasn't that the Cobra couldn't be beat, just that he was comparing the fastest Pontiac to the medium Mustang and dogging the mustang.
  19. Well, Ford is still selling every GT they can build so why put the effort out to make them that much faster? Also, you are comparing a GT (mid grade mustang) to a LS-1 TA (the fastest TA). Compare that LS-1 to the new 390 HP Cobra. Ford has built some trick shit, but is reluctant to because when they have in the past they got screwed. I still think if Ford wouldn't have got dicked in NASCAR since day one, GM wouldn't have ruled the musclecar era and wouldn't be the number one seller today. Just my 2 pennies.
  20. I have a front and rear fender set from a 99 taken off in 01. I want to sell them as a set. Make offer.
  21. I have been trying to find that paint code! I wanted to paint my frame with that lightning blue, but I can't find the code. You happen to know what it is?
  22. NOTHING beats a big block thumping so hard you can feel it in your chest when you are standing 20' from it. My major problem with imports is the kids that drive them have NO CLUE! They have never felt the pull torque from a healthy V-8. Otherwise they wouldn't put a shitty sounding exhaust on a stock 4 banger. Plus, they (90%) have no idea about anything under the hood. We all streetraced with old cars and trucks when I was in high school. Some of you might remember the pic of my 429 powered '68 longbed ford I posted a couple months ago. Anyway, after high school everyone was getting too fast for streetracing. Now 5 years later there are streetable Chevelles, camaros, mustangs, etc running 5.7 second 1/8 miles. Around here there is a race series called KOTS (King Of The Street). Everyone shows up at the track at a certain time, then the all make a 30 mile cruise in their drag car. Seeing 30 five second cars cruise through town is pretty cool. When they get back to the track, the race heads up. No times are given, just who has the fastest car. A couple times each summer my friends drive their drag cars up to the nearest city about 20 miles away from our little town. They would cruise the old strip that we hung out on back in school. When we would park to talk, 17 year olds in their civics sporting a 6" LED exhaust tips would pulled up and want to race. One would think the 8-71 Weiand sticking out of the hood of a 68 Camaro would make them think twice but they still kept coming. One guy with an Eclipse finally made a friend mad. He was going on about his $13,000 Eclipse motor and another $4000 in turbos on top of that. Well, that $17,000 was a waste of money when he went against my friends mustang with a nitrous huffing 514 stroker. My point is back in school, we always made sure we knew everything possible about the cars we went to race against. No one in town ran anything Mopar, but we all had researched them and knew what to look for and what to respect. Most import drivers don't have this respect.

You MUST sell out BEFORE you are served with papers (via mail, officer, lawyer, etc). Once you are officially served, she can contest any monetary decisions. EDIT: And as was said, once your friend has a bill of sale its his. Make sure you can trust the bastard.
  24. I just bought an 85 that I am thinking of parting out. It has aftermarket Action A-arms. Anyone interested in them? They look brand new in yellow powdercoat and the uppers are fully adjustable for caster/camber with adjustable heims for the upper ball joint. They will come with yellow tie rods also. The motor has just been rebuilt (1 week ago). It has a DG pipe, K&N filter, chrome nerf bars, ITP wheels with good shredders on front and Razr's on back (wheels are dinged pretty bad though), Plastic is faded but in good condition, the seat is from a late LT (T shaped). Frame has a couple weld places on it (I think that is why the A-arms are new). Anyway, I can't decide whether I want to sell it together or part it. I bought it yesterday from a guy that was moving and couldn't take it with him. If someone would buy a major part like the A-arms, Motor, etc. I would part the whole thing out.
  25. I use the same swaybar also. Is it the links that are hitting? If so, You can drill the A-arm below the shock and run a bolt through the A-arm so the link is mounted beside the shock. I use a long bolt and spacer it away from the shock. You aren't running a lowering kit are you?
