  1. If you send the pistons out the top and cut the domes for a 2mm recess instead of using a cylinder spacer plate, your port timing will be lower. Basically, it depends on what you are doing with the motor. I like the higher port timing for racing. Just suits me better.
  2. 795 series pistons just take care of the long rod issue. The spacer plate takes care of the stroke. I am running a long rod stroker with a spacer below the cylinders and 795 pistons. I run standard domes.
  3. The hole that the dogs go into for first gear are larger than the holes for the other gears. This lets it move more before the dogs hit the gear (if that makes sense). Every gear but first has three dogs that engage into 6 "holes". First has three dogs and only three holes.
  4. Grizzly is the only wintergreen I can stand. It gives me about the best buzz of any chew. Nothing like a good dip of cherry or mint Skoal though. Anybody tried Copenhagen Black? The burbon flavored one. I didn't care for it at all. Now a little Natural flavored moistened with some Jim Beam is a different story.
  5. What reeds, carbs, and jetting are you running?

    4 Sec 500'?

Is that a stock stroke motor or stroker? Gas or alky? Dirt or asphalt? I am hoping mine is a little faster than that. 1/8 mi asphalt +4 on alky.
  7. I have some like new FMF SST's that I would like $250 shipped.
  8. Blue, if I ship my bike out to Cali would you detail it? Man your bike is clean. Jim, I should have some pics this weekend for you.

Jim is very reasonable on his motor work. I have one of his 12 port +4 TT motors, and just got my cylinders back from him for my +4 drag motor. He is very helpful and I highly recommend him. His customer service is better than any shop I have ever dealt with. Hopefully I can soon let everyone know how his drag motors run. His TT motor is super impressive.
  10. Yeah, but I can still talk shit like a PRO! I would like to move up to pro, but all it takes is getting my butt smoked in Pro-AM to make me realize where I belong. Its fun to run anyway for the simple reason that someone may possibly get a picture of a PRO behind me, trying to lap me and then I will have something to brag about and show my kids! Just wait until that bad #3 bike puts it on you this weekend. He was just an AM like me until last race.
  11. Is the RZ trans gears only or do you have the drum/forks also? What about plastic? I am needing the YZ BLue tank/rad covers.
  12. Gates open at 3pm, signup at 4, practice at 5. Incase D34 hasn't told you, its an open practice. We will run about 45 minutes of ST practice then 45 minutes of TT and you can run as many times as you want. Then there might be a 1 time clean bike only ST practice incase someone doesn't make it in time. Riders meeting will be about 6:30, Heats will follow immediately.
  13. Well Jim, it sounds like I might need to try out these new cylinders this weekend. There is no reason for a grudge race between D34 and I. We both know what the outcome will be. I don't really like other guys buying me a beer anyways.
  14. It doesn't vibrate any worse than any other big 2 stroke
  15. David had a revision a few months ago. Something about the cylinder spacing. Clearance issues can occur if your stroker sends the pistons out the top. They are fine if you are running stock stroke or if you raise the cylinders. Right now my cylinders are raised, but who knows how I might change it. The lower plate also would have an R1 on it.
  16. If its the one I am thinking about, its all gold plated and chrome. Trinity motor . It only had 50K in it when ATV Sport did an article on it last year.
  17. I have a great idea, why doesn't everyone just hitch on to the back of my bike? That way no matter what, you'll be behind me .
  18. Is the head the revised one? (Does it have "R1" machined in where the brass stud is?)
  19. I am in missouri. I bought the bike and had planned on transplanting it into a blaster.
  20. What parts do you need. I have a 465 that I am looking to get rid of. It has a recently rebuilt motor, never started.

Drag, he is up in your neck of the woods. Wanna show him what a Passion drag port is all about?
  22. I've got a SAR-1 with 75 rd drum. Lots of fun. WSAR would be awesome for personal defense, but hard to carry as concealed . Luckily this is pretty cheap by the case!
  23. I'll be there . The track is a 3/8 mile clay oval ST with a large TT that in corporates about 75% of the oval then turns on the infield. The straights on the TT are long with 2 right turns (instead of one long right turn like a lot of TT's of this type) with a shorter straight between them, then long straight and back on the oval. D34 and I have designed each of the TT turns to allow a couple of different riding syles and racing lines so passing and racing action should be awesome. It will not be a boring track. We went down a couple of weeks ago to check the track so we know how much water it will need for us. We made a few laps trying all areas of the track. It was super hooked up. We both commented that it was like racing on concrete or asphalt. The track is wide enough to allow a couple of grooves. This is important as you know because it allows different types of riders to pick their line and everyone is not in a line following each other like some other tracks seem to be. We are expecting quite a few racers and it should be some great racing.

You have got to love kids these days. http://forums.atvconnection.com/messagevie...adid/398368.cfm I would say its super mod.
  25. Looks good Jim. Just like your motors, its anything but subtle. Now that you have told me my parts might be here tommorrow, I know I won't be able to sleep. I might have that design incorporated into the paint on my drag bike. Dragbanshee02, what times did you run on alky?
