  1. This wouldn't have been a problem if he would have took the 2 minutes of time to give a customer a call back. Like i said i understand being busy but that is no excuse for leaving your customers hanging. i could have found a clutch cover for my bike so i could run the LAST race of the point series if he had just called and said "Man i've been really busy and can't get the parts to you for a couple weeks". This is what really pissed me off. Thanks for the nfo D.
  2. I bought something from him this weekend. Within minutes of my payment, he had already left me positive feedback and has already sent me a tracking number. Seems to be a great seller and I can't wait to see the product.
  3. I have yet to run on a track that would be smooth enough for struts. Each bump would unload your rear tires and you would constantly be fighting the bike because it would want to hook then unhook. Also, as the front dives it helps to plant the front tires and the front suspension lifting as you leave the turns helps to plant the rear tires for traction. Basically, I wouldn't think it would work very well. However, I guess Go-Karts get by without suspension. But watch them on dirt tracks, they get beat to death.
  4. The FCR series of carbs are AWESOME. I ran one on my 250x on gas and then on alcohol. Tuning the FCR's can be a bitch, but the end result is worth it. What I mean is you can put them on and they run well, but if you spend the time to tune each circuit and the accel pump, you can find some more power. The 39 would be the best size. The 41 would be overkill. I know FTZ sells quite a few of them for the 400ex's. You could contact them.
  5. I too run a small business. I shouldn't have to wait until a another customer tells him to call me to hear from him. Its not like I am calling asking questions about his products with no intent to buy soon. I have sent the money and my parts. To me this means I am a customer and should be treated as one. I totally understand being busy when in business. However, if a customer of mine wants to know where his building is (I sell building materials), I will try my best to let them know what is going on with it. Even if he returned my calls and said "Hey, its going to be a week or two", I wouldn't be feeling scammed like I am feeling now. But as you know when you send money and can't get any response whatsoever from the company, things don't look good. The number I have left him is my personal cell phone and I told him he could call anytime day or night.
  6. Bignasty1, I know the shop and the parts guy is a good friend and he personally sent them off. I myself have tried to call GRR and they won't return my calls. I recently got my money back from a auto parts company that scammed me in 2002. It took me 27 months and prosecution to get it back. This has made me more sceptical of buying parts over the phone or internet, but like I said many members here run his parts so I thought GRR would be a stand up business. But not calling customers back is bullshit!
  7. A local shop talked to GRR about getting setup as a dealer for their products. I was interested in their lock-up clutch as well as the clutch update kit (kit to keep the ball from welding). The parts guy at the shop said that when he talked to GRR, they said that they had the lockup kits in stock and as soon as they recieved my clutch cover as a core and the money for the lockup kit and the update kit, they would send the parts right back out. Well, now they have my clutch cover and most importantly my cash. This week makes a month since the cover and money was sent, and still no parts! It is only 2 day shipping to MI from MO so I should have had my stuff back 3 weeks ago. I had a race yesterday. It was the LAST race of a point series. I wasn't able to run my bike because I have no clutch cover! I pulled the cover off the night after my race in Feb. because I knew it would be a month until the next race which would give me plenty of time to get the parts and get everything lined out. I talked to the shop last week when my parts still weren't in and the parts guy (who is a good friend) said that Andy at GRR won't return their e-mails or calls. I asked for the e-mail address and their phone number. Their e-mail seems to have been shut down and THEY WON'T RETURN MY CALLS!!! I have left messages since last wednesday and they still won't call me back. I have called and the phone will be busy for 20 minutes, then 30 seconds later, it will ring and the answering machine will pick up. I'll leave a message with a number and they have never called. So, what's up with GRR? I have seen many of their products on ebay, and there are some on ebay now. I was interested in some of these products. When many of the guys here on HQ seemed to recommend GRR, I thought they must be a good business. My experience in the past month is starting to make me think otherwise.
  8. I didn't think you could by a new 2 stroke in CA? I guess I thought wrong though huh?
  9. Plus more recipocating weight due to the extra metal on the rods and the weight of the bolts when using a 2 piece rod.

    Gearing

Proquad, the track is Paducah International Raceway. D34 and my favorite race track. Are you going to make it to all of the ST nationals this year? The first one is on May 13th. My fiance graduates from college on the 14th. I am pretty sure we won't make it back in time and I made the mistake of telling her that . She isn't too happy. D34 says it will be cheaper in the long run since skipping her graduation will probably mean we will skip the wedding.

    Gearing

We run a VERY large 3/8's mile track (its actually a half mile on the outside) where they held a national last year and will have another this year. I had a ported 350 motor and ran 16/39 gears with great results. Topped in 5th every straightaway and occasionally would hit 6th for just a short burst to beat someone into a turn. I can't wait to see how my Passion +4 motor pulls these gears on this track.
  12. Honda 250r, 400ex, suzuki Z400, KXF400 and others all use 4/144 front and 4/110 rear. Yamaha warrior, banshee, raptor uses 4/156 front and 4/115 rear. Blaster is 4/156 front and 4/110 rear. Pre 89 banshee used 4/156 rear which happens to be the same as kawasaki mojave and tecates. Hope this helps
  13. I'll take the 19's. Would you like paypal?
  14. BKabina, my stuff is on its way to jim for the same motor. I already have his motor in my flattrack bike and am happy so I want to try his drag porting. What fuel will you be running? Pipes? Override? Carbs?
  15. Isn't that funny. I guess Ernie has posted that almost everywhere. Here is a post on atv connection where he and I argued about the cages. My login there is alkyburninx. I have the G3's and am not impressed so far, but I have more testing to do. http://forums.atvconnection.com/messagevie...&keyword1=truth Here is a topic on them from planet sand: http://www.planetsand.com/ubbthreads/showf...rev=#Post152889 As of now, the V-forces will be going back into my bike.
  16. I have some maier fronts ($20), stock fronts ($40) and brand new UFO's ($75). Which ones would you need.

    Plastic

taw350cc. Do you have a blue tank cover/rad cover?
  18. I have a set of fast trekker 18" for 8"wheel. They look brand new. I would take $50 for them.
  19. David, do you cut alky domes also? I am going to be needing a set soon.
  20. Are you sure the motor is grounded good? Did you paint the frame while the motor was out?
  21. I like mine for flat track racing. I even run it with a modded star. I haven't had problems with jumping out of gear. We have thought about running the stiff stock spring with the shift-pro if we ever have problems with jumping gears. That setup will still be an improvement of stock. It won't take much pull at all to shift. You can't really feel it click into gear though.
  22. $350 to your door with LOTS of jets, extra set of dump tubes, filters, braided throttle cable. Like new 2-3 months use.
  23. cb67rs1 can probably tell you better, but my understanding is: They silver vein the bottom coat and since vein must be topcoated (usually clear) you can topcoat with translucent red.
  24. I'm with rz, I think they are 32's also.
  25. Blue Duece, actually D34 has a Patriot motor . Just kidding D. I am running Jim's. D34 just was the middle man for the build. Jim, can those intakes be purchased through you? Are they already port matched to meet the V-force reeds or do they have to be opened up?
