  1. I have some like new FTZ 35.5mm gassers for sale if you know anyone interested.
  2. Sorry for your loss. I know all to well what it is like. I went home one day to find that my dad had died from a heartattack. There were no prior problems so it was a major hit. I worked with him at our business as well working on our farm together. I was 19 and lived at home. Basically, we spent all day together. He was the type of guy that knew everything (although at 19 I thought I knew more) and was able to teach me quite a bit of it. Now, everyday, I use something that he taught me and it reminds me of the connection we share even though he has been gone for over 2 years. At his funeral, the preacher said every once in a while he would see or think of something and think, "I'll have to tell dad about that. Then reality hits." I can't count how many times I have done same thing. Also, That is a kick-ass buggy!!!
  3. If I remember correctly, the last time I raced against D, I was two bikes ahead of him when we finished. At the last race we went to, he decided he didn't want to run Pro-Am class where we would be running together and talked me out of running it also. I think he was just scared.
  4. Also would be interested in headlights.
  5. Have you sold the tank cover plastic and the radiator cover yet? If not how much with shipping?
  6. I have one also. Good condition it is just missing one of the bolts. Make offer. I can get pics if interested.
  7. Another dyna user here. Nice because you can start with their curves then try your own when you do other mods. Customer support is great. They test the ignition free of charge and aren't reluctant to send a new one if needed. Just make sure to run resistor plugs!!! Right D34?
  8. I ran a set of cylinders that were powdercoated blue all last race season without problems. They look just as good as when they were coated.
  9. I must say I run the 34's on my motor from Jim and the throttle response is amazing. Low idle in neutral, you can open it to WOT without ANY hesistation. Racing it last weekend on a small slick track, I would let the RPM's come WAY down in the corners then lug it off the bottom to keep from spinning. I could go to WOT from almost idle and it would immeditately start to pull. I am trying to acquire a set of 35PWK's to try with this setup, but I am so happy with the 34's I don't know if it will be worth it. I might wait until we get to the outdoor series where you can really use the power of the motor to see if there is a difference.
  10. The wrong sIde Is already tapped but It has bIgger threads.
  11. Merry Christmas to me!!!! Santa (guy in the big brown truck) just came!!! Jim These things look stock. Did you do anything to them? i've seen ported 250r's with smaller intakes and transfers! The quality of work is exceptional also. We'll see how it runs. Thanks!!!
  12. used to run Belray gearsaver. recently switched to Motul Transovl and the differnce is night and day. SOOO much easier to find neutral. CLutch action is smoother. This will be my new oil.
  13. You must bloc off both intae and exhaust ports and test both cylinders at the same time. There isn't a seal between the two cylnders on the banshee. Ran into this problem before.
  14. doesnt that just succ when one of your pals starts getting laid, he turns into a pussie himself, i guess the saying "you are what you eat" is true...... Blue i take offense to comments like that! Jim i am waiting on that damn ups man now. Feels like Christmas morning when was 5! Sorry for the impaitence. can't wait to see these cylnders. David cool design on the specials.
  15. I had ported stock cages with carbon fiber reeds in both of my banshees. One was stock carbs, stock ports, 19cc domes, Pro-circuit pipes for trail. The other was FTZ ported 350cc with 34PJ's, and CPI's for flat track. I switched the trail bike over to the V-force cages first. The difference was almost as great as the difference in stock and ported cages. The bottom end response was absolutely impressive. I immediately got a set for the race bike. The idle was crisper as well as throttle response. I actually had to turn the idle screws out on both bikes just from the reed change. The bike with Pro-circuits made such smooth power on the bottom to mid, it was the perfect tight trail banshee motor.
  16. I have used the tiny tach before on a 2-stroke polaris. They are hard to read since they are digital and they only sample like twice a second so the instantaneous accuracy isn't that great. You might keep in mind that a couple of polaris guys I know take the signal from the lighting output which only makes voltage once per rev. I tried it on my banshee and it didn't work. I haven't had time to sit down and figure out why though.
  17. It is just a vent hose. I have wondered for a couple of years why there is tapped threads on each side. Finally, it dawned on me a couple of months ago. The RZ would have used the same cover, and it was oil injected. This would have been the mounting point for the oil pump.
