Ga,vanized will be fine. Work with it all the time. You really ned to throw the shit to it to get any sort of fumigation off of it.. I would suggest some stainless. We get it in by the sheet. I see your only in Toronto. If you want to make the 1.5 hour trip to Buffalo here, I could probably shear ya off some pieces of stainless for next to nothin....... My wife sells shit for Samuel. Get it all the time. i', working on landing a nice piece of stainless, 1/2"X2'X14' for my new workbench!!! I am just gonna have to get a small crane in my garage to get it in there....

WHAT??????? I did't quite understand what you are getting at here?? Is it that a part of the site is missing for you?

That's what sucks!!! In NY, you can pay tax on the ATV when it is bought from the dealer. Unless it is for Agricultural purposes.... Then, you sell the ATV. The person that buys it from you, has to pay taxes on the purchase price of the ATV AGAIN!!! So, the state makes out twice there. And then, along ddown the line. Each person that purchases it, has to pay tax on the purchase price for it. Even though it is from a private owner. And the way they do it, is that wen you register it, they whack ya with the tax hit. And the law states that you must register your machine whether you ride it on your own property or not. Except in an agricultural situation. You can get by without it, but don't get caught by the police without it.. And if you are transporting an unregistered machine, you better be abl;e to prove it's yours.....

In NY, everything is sold with a title. It works well that way. However, my buddy bought a shee in Mi, and there is no titles there. Still doesn't have title, or registration for it... I painted my frame, and the VIN is now gone.. I still have my reggy for it though....

I am currently using a Sony DSC-P71. I love it!!! Only bitch I have is that about 1 month after I bought it, ($260) they came out with the DSC-P72. My father bought that one, after using mine. The P72 has audio with it's MPEG's. And it works splendidly. You can shoot video as long as your memory stick lasts. It depends on what quality you have the camera set on. I can take about 100 minutes of video on a halfway decent setting. Here is a couple MPEG's I shot with it at the tractor pulls this summer.... Oh yea, my camera is 3.2 megapixel. It also has 3X optical zoom, and 3X digital. The higher the optical, the clearer the shot. Most of my pics are taken on the 2048x1536 setting. MPEG MPEG1

Amsoil is a good oil. I run Klotz. Holyman can hook you up with Amsoil. He is a dealer.

I use a KEM professional series compression guage. I can get it in there, with the included adapter with the tank still on. Now, if you believe you have an air leak, than you need to do a leakdown test. This requires a vacuum pump, and some other accessories. Search the forum, and you will find a thread or two on this that explains this in detail.... And your compression guage should hold the highest reading. If it doesn't, it is a POS and you need to get a good one...

I am running 40:1 with Klotz super techniplate. You can figure out your ounces per gallon with this simple formula. You fill in what you want for the variables. 128/x=ounces of oil per gallon. x=ratio number. So, if you wanted to mix at 32:1, (which would be 32 parts fuel to 1 part oil) you would take 128/32 and you would get a value of 4. This is your amount of oil in ounces that you would put into 1 gallon of fuel to make your ratio 32:1. You see, 128 ounces=1 gallon. So, whatever you want to mix at, use the formula, and do it that way. I used to use a piss cup, (it had perfect ounce measurements on it) to mix fuel before I got a ratio rite. But, for the $5 it costs for a ratio rite cup, it takes all the guesswork out of it..... Make the wise investment.

Intakes Balance Tube Are They Needed?
boonman replied to Oilsmoke's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I made aluminum block offs for the balance tube ports on my stock intakes.. I didn't notice any difference. I got sick of having the boost botle in there. And I didn't like the way the stock balance tube, (that Led gave me, thanks buddy!!!!) looked in there... -
Have you tried replacing your plug caps? They are cheap. But, get the factory Yamaha ones. Not the Parts Unlimited junk ones. Be sure you get the loaded caps. They will know what you are talking about if they have any sense? It has a 500 Ohm resistor in them to protect the CDI. If you run normal caps, (unloaded) you can run NGK "R" style plugs, and be fine... I had a problem such as you describe when I had the plug cap(s) go bad....

How To Stop Your Banshee From Getting Stolen
boonman replied to xt45's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I like the shipping idea. It makes the most sense. That way, you would have to have the tracking numbers, and collect all the packages if you wanted to steal it, or, just hijack the UPS truck every day for a week. -
Hitting Pot Holes And Ditches Will It Hurt My Shee

I still want to know the answer to Meat's uganda question. And the one about outer space..... -
You have to use enough octan so that it doesn't ping. Which, on a stock bike, about 89 octane. And YES, you do have to add some sort of two stroke oil to the fuel before you run it. Straight fuel will harm the motor VERY seriously. I prefer Klotz oils and lubricants... www.klotzlube.com

I was trying to give a small explanation of why the plugs fired at the same time, and that it didn't matter. But your explanation kicks ass over mine!!!!!!!!

Don't bother cleaning the plug. Just grab a fresh set. they shouldn't be more than $4 for the pair at the local parts store....

1 gallon of fuel is equal to 128 ounces. So, if you wanted a 40:1 mixture, and you had a 5 gallon fuel can, (with 5 gallons of fuel in it of course.. ) you would take 128 x 5 = 640. 640/40=16. So, with 640 ounces of fuel-(5 gallons) you would add 16 ounces of oil for a 40: 1 mix. You can do it any way you like it...

I thought Abso and his queenliness took that title long ago? -
5W-30 in a diesel??? That's perty thin.........

The manual doesn't lie. Taht's what Yamaha suggests you run in your bike. it is not an oil issue. And even if you thought it was rich on the mix, you want to go leaner at 32:1??? It isn't going to make that much difference. I run 40:1. Anyways, Perhaps that boost bottle boosted you too much, and you were stuffing sooooooooo much fuel and air into the cylinder that it hydrolocked. Who knows. I would clean the carbs, and check all your fluids. Make sure you aren't sucking coolant into the top end, and while your at it, give it a leakdown test to make sure you don't have an air leak.....
-
Being that you are running Castor oil, that is your explanation right there.... Castor oil will seperate over time, and load up in the bottom of the tank. Then, when you fire it up, you are rinning a 10:1 mix or so of oil in the fuel.... Shake the hell out of the bike to hopefully mix it up.....
-
There is no trying idea about it. That's just the way it is....
