You could check it with a timing light, but I am not sure where the marks are....

I have used good ol' owens corning fiberglass home insulation for a number of years. It has worked fine for me. I know there is bettr, longer lasting stuff out there, but I have a ton of the stuff at home. And I would rather wipe my ass with a broken bottle than buy "silencer packing" for a ridiculous amount of money when the pink stuff does the same thing...

Alright, we've had enough. It's over. topic closed.

What's up with all the food talk lately. Dammit!!! it is 6 AM here, and I want some f'ing food!!!!!!! Oh yea, steak!! -
Your locktite will be fine. And any punch would probably work. As long as it has a tempered point, and it is sharp.

Hank Williams,(Junior and Senior), Waylon Jennings, David Allan Coe, Charlie Daniels, Kenny, Tim, anything country really. And whatever is in the jukebox at the gin mill.

This has come to my attention, and I don't like it. I work about 55-60 hours a week, and losing overtime pay could make me not pleased. Here are some links to inform you all about what is at stake hear. Probably things you didn't even know where happening. I didn't. It really pisses me off that our own president would try to do something like this to the people of this country. This is not a political debate, but something must be done. Please at least check it out. Give it a read, and if it applies to someone you know, or you, please email, do whatever it takes to stop this ridiculousness. http://www.unionvoice.org/campaign/otlastchance/ http://www.unionvoice.org/campaign/otlastchance/explanation

I think he is looking for a baja style grab bar, just 2" longer...

How much money you got? There was a BIG debate on this awhile back. I am currently running works shocks. Triples in front. I like them for now, although on an MX track, I wish I had something better. You need a Resorvoir for long hard rides. the shocks heat up, and lose their effective damping abilities. This is a bad thing. CC racing pounded me. I NEEDED better suspension for that. But I couldn't afford it. IMHO, you should get the best shocks that you can afford. I have heard debates on Elkas, but I think I would still go with them. they seem like they provide the best bang for the buck. But see what others have to say that actually have them. I know Deuce, and Meat use Elka. They seem to like them.

Thanks Chetta. I knew I could count on at least one person for that!!! But the experience I had, was we were at Silver Lake, and we rolled y buddies bike off the trailer. He was kicking the daylights out of it, and himself to no avail. I ask him, you got the fuuel on? "yep" You got the key on? "yep", Kill switch? "yep" You got fuel in it? "stop being an ass man!!" So, I go over and start poking around. I grab the CDI off mine, plug it in, nothing. Swap coils. Nada. Clean the air filter. Nope. Change plugs, not that either. I finally look in the tank, not taking his word for it, and PRESTO!!!!!! there was the answer!!!! I shamefully went over, put my stuff back on my bike, and went riding.

I am thinking that RidinMudBabe and FoxyBabe are one in the same..... Either way, I want the pics still. I think everyone does.....

Bummer to hear Benny.... I have a stock stator in the shop if you need. It is out of my '96. ANd all you peeps from the mountanous regoins of NY, get ahold of me. I am often up at the hill, and off the hill in the winter. We usually stay at the Parquet in C-ville, or at the Flat Rock with Gordo.... I would love to ride with y'all!!! Even in the summer, I may be able to scoot out. I was up there this summer riding the shee, and I didn't see one other one. Well, except in the driveway of someone's house.... PM me for my # boys...

And so another page turns. And like the sands of Glamis, these...... And you know the rest. Anyways, I do have some helpful hints. There is a button at the bottom of anyones particular post in a subject. It is labeled "PM" It stands for Private Message. For things like this little soap opera, that wouldnn't be a bad idea to use. While yours and Broncos little debate was/is comical, it probably would have ben better suited through that route. At the top of your browser window, just under the HQ sponsor's logo, you will see "my controls". Next to it it will tell you if you have any messages. These are private messages. To post a picture, you have to have it hosted on another site that allows direct linking. Such as www.imagestation.com Then what you do is cut and paste the URL into your post, and then highlight it, and then click the IMG button at the top. Or, you can type it in, (I always type it in, it's faster for me that way being on a laptop) as That's about it. Now, right click on the box with the red x. Now click "properties". This is what you must type into your post. I think you got the quote thing figured out, and if you forget, go to one of the posts where you did learn it, or one of the ones that I fixed for ya, and see how it was done by going to that post, and clicking edit. Then you will see the code in there.... Good luck. And dammit, get the pics up on here. If not, email them to me at [email protected] and I will host AND post them for you. Later Peace, love and scattered debris from a stock piston that cracked it's skirt and sent crap all over the inside of my motor. Or, peace, love, and whatever you said....

You could sell it to me!!!
-
I wouldn't recommend doing that. Meat snapped the back part of his frame off from having just one gallon of fuel on the rack. That is alot of weight to be hanging off the rear of the frame.... And the material isn't what costs, it is the setup time involved. PRM is thinking with their pricks on sideways. To add another 2" to the 1/4" thick piece of flat stock would be of minimal cost. And I am sure that their jig would accomodate it....

is the key on? I kow you said it's getting spark, but are you sure? And the lights dimly lighting when you kick it doesn't mean squat. The lighting circuit and the ignition circuit are 2 seperate things on the stator. You can have one without the other.... Are the plugs wet after you have kicked it for a bit? Is the choke tube in place? Pilot jets clean and free of debris? Is the fuel turned on? Is there enough fuel in the tank? I know it's a stupid question, but I have seen it happen. DOn't laugh!!

That's the problem. Too much $$ for my broke ass!!!!! I try to do things the cheap way myself. Most bang for the buck. If I had the loot though, you can bet on it that scotts would be on my bike!!
-
Improper squish, too low of octane, (like bad/old fuel as suggested), too much advance on the timing, or a combination of things. But, a hole in the piston is almost a dead giveaway that some sort of detonation was going on. A clogged main jet, can add heat to the problem, and accelerate it's showing, but I don't think a clogged main would blow a hole on it's own. What was your squish set up at? Timing? What other mods are done to it?

Anyone Up For Another Bhq Get Together?

Walt, you ought to know better!!!! If you wanted the most visibility, you should have posted it in EVERY forum!! Just messin' with ya. And I didn't move it on ya, but I would have probably. Because, this is an even isn't it? See, that's why there is different sections of the forums...... I guess... J/K BTW. And if I could make it out to the other side of the country for this, I would LOVE to be there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 But I am a poor SOB and can't afford too much.... -
I just thought of a vulgar display of power that REALLY pisses me off. Ever go into a gas station, (or wherever it is that your state law provides for you to purchase alcohol) and throw a case of your favorite beer up on the counter, and the guy behind it knows you, and he asks you for ID. Well, you forgot it at home, and the dude REFUSES to sell you licquor. Bastards. My fault for not carrying identification with me at all times. Anyways, I am wondering why this thread was moved to the roostin room, but oh well. No biggie. And I see your point in the "joint" post Deuce. But i think that if he was your buddy, (the DEA guy) he wouldn't say shit. I used to ride/race street bikes with alot of cops. They were the worst law breakers of them all. It can go both ways. And about the brass and the enlistees, I am just an enlistee. If being a mod sacrifices the way I am viewed on here, than dammit, I don't want the "brass". I don't want the friggin' "title". I don't need it. I would rather be able to "hang out" with my HQ brethren. When we finally do get that HQ get together at the strippin's down my Meat's place, I don't want ot be the DEA guy. I want to ride, and party later on with some of that dammm Yuengling that I can't find any where in this POS state of NY. Except at the state fair, but that's once a year. Anyways, point here is, is that if feelings have changed, than I don't want no part of it. I am still same ol' boon with or without this damned "title".

My biggest mistake was not cleaning the case and crank out after I blew a hole in the piston. Shortly after, the crank let go...... Also, buying a cheapo torque wrench..
