  1. Thanks holyman Do you think if I were to take all the paint off the cover and put it back in the muriatic acid to make the whole cover the same color it would affect it enough to make a problem with the cover?
  2. Alright I'm in the process of rebuilding my 250R and I decided to get some muriatic acid to strip paint easily off some parts. I threw my waterpump cover in a bit of acid thinking it would take the paint off it. I pulled it out a few minutes later and the paint was all still there but it was bubbling a lot and it turned all the exposed aluminum a graphite color. I was wondering if this will cause problems with the cover later.
  3. Hey ducman, Im thinking I might drive down there, I'm just trying to check on the shipping costs too see it it would be easier. Does anybody knwo if americanshipping or overnight shipping or ABF has a website? Thanks for the help, forward air seems to have decent prices. Derek
  4. I am talking to a guy about buying his R and I was wondering who you guys ship your quad with, I'm not worried about getting it in a major hurry, I just want to get it for a decent price. UPS was like 750$ sounds like a little much. Minnesota to Toronto. Thanks for your help Derek
  5. Hey Twins. wher esi this Candian sand you speak of? have you done any riding in Calgary or Drumheller in the badlands and shit? I dont know of anywhere to go riding. not even around here. later
  6. Hey do u travel n e where in Canada to go riding? or do you just do local riding? I live just outside toronto and me and My buddies have been thinking about goin on a road trip somewhere riding. We are eventually head down dunign somewhere in the states but if we can find somehwere really good in canada we r goin. Later
  7. Dont forget the flywheel weights. Stealthy offroad makes a decent set. They will make the power broader and keep help prevent stall outs. It will also make the power more tractable. My tecate seemed to have a fairly heavy flywheel compared to me shee and i liked in teh woods a lot more.
  8. Im looking for a kawasaki tecate 4,preferbaly in decent shape but a fixer upper wouldnt be to bad either. I would prefer an 88 but an 87 would be fine too. It really needs good plastics and frame because you cant get front plastics for it any more. I saw one on here in the swap and trade section a while ago but I cant find it now. It doesnt even really need an engine because I want to drop a kx500 engine in it any ways. Thanks a lot Derek Nobody????
  9. Hey thanks a lot guys. I was going to use plexi glass exvept i pay clsoe to 200$ for a 4x8 sheet, so it is pretty bad. Thanks again for the help. Derek
  10. Ive thought about it. I was going to use melamyne (sp?) becasue good stuff is very water resitant and easy to clean but its expensive as shit and heavy. I am good friends with a fairly big breeder considering he does it in his house, He sells his stuff all over Canada, He has usually around 1000 differnet reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids in his house at any given time. He told me he likes the melamyne a lot because its easy. But I want somethign that is fairly light for its size. Im not worried about the steel causing any fumes by itself, Im pretty sure that wont be a problem Im just unsure about when there is a heater pad stuck to it. Ive never owned a snake, msotly because im 17 and my mom wont let me have one. I also own a veiled chameleon and a panther chameleon and after i get the beardy into their new tank im going to hopefully pick up a breeding pair of alligator skinks, which if i can breed will be good money (wholesale is at the very cheapest is around 150$ Cdn. each) Thanks again
  11. OK, Ive ordered some steel to weld together a new tank for my pair of bearded dragons. The tank is going to be 6ftx 3ftx 2.5ft tall. MY quesion is Ive got a sheet of 16 guage for the bottom and I am curious as to whether it will give off any toxic fumes if I were to stick a heater pad to it. The heater pad should heat it up to around 80 degrees or more I think. I am curious to any fumes at all because these animals will be a lot more prone to getting sick from them. Which i dont want because I am goign to start breeding them and selling them. Thanks for the help Derek
  12. Herpetology, have 2 bearded dragons, 2 chameleons and i am gonna strat breeding some geckos. also playing war games with pellet and bb guns instead of paintball guns. Hvae a few spots, set up hostage situations and captue the flag style scenarios and shoot eachother with rifles and pistols, have some paint grenades and shit.
  13. Thats cool. Im really thinking I'm going to get it done if I get a new banshee. I traded my last shee for a tecate and it got stoel at the begining of october so I dont know when Im gettign a new quad. Do you get many parts from hsd? I have never got any thing from them.
  14. I was wondering if anybody has seen or even tried the front end clip with symmetry long travel frotn suspension from hsd racing? I emailed and talked to them today. Basically you send them your frame and they will chop the front end off of it and weld on a revised front end with 15 degrees of rake (like 250r) and a narrow front end. You have to get the symmetry long travel a arms with it, after the mods the a arms are 5 inches longer due to the narrower front end. I believe that the frame mods are 1325$ including steering stem and shit, then the a arms and long travel elkas or peps. Just curious as to how many have seen it or have even heard of it.
  15. If your interested in the schaeffer oils hunt down flash and flare. Thats what he runs and im prety sure he swears by it. When he ripped hsi top end down a while ago after running it for 2 years he told me that it still had all of the cross hatching on it. It looked almost like a new bore job still. He has me convinced, I just cant find a dealer up here in Canada.
