  1. I installed the motion pro TORS eliminator kit
  2. I finished my rebuild and my shee idles fine but bigs out when you give it gas, it won't rev. I'm thinking it's the parking brake but I don't even have one anymore unless there's a plug or wires I need to cut or tie together. I have the black and black/yellow wires for the throttle switch disconnected. Any suggestions?
  3. Fired right up! 4th kick hell yes
  4. How do you guys feel about starting it in a clean environment without the air box or any filter? I need to hear this thing
  5. Hit it with the screw driver then picked the ass end up a few times and slammed it down. Now more overflow! Any idea why it happened? Should I take it apart and clean it? (again)
  6. I'm wrapping up my build and when I was getting ready to start her up I noticed my right carb is overflowing when the gas is on. I set the float height on both carbs last night, but only the right side is leaking. Any suggestions besides check for a stick float and check float height?
  7. Pull off the calipers then clean and grease the slide pins. This won't cost anything to do, and if you haven't done it before I'm sure it needs it anyway. If that doesn't fix it I would have to assume the caliper needs a rebuild.
  8. I ended up using threaded rod with a nut to make a bolt long enough to fit. Then again, I have very limited access to metric nuts/bolts where I live.
  9. Your slide pins could also be dried up and sticking.
  10. If you have a clymer read the clutch adjustment section in chapter 2 or 3.
  11. Lol how did that never cross my mind???
  12. I have a radiator that has a decent dent on the upper right corner and I don't know if it leaks or not? What's going to be the best way to test it, should I fill it with water and let the bike idle? Or just unplug all the hoses and fill it to see if it leaks without pressure? I'm only asking because I don't feel like wasting my engine ice cuz that shits expensive!
  13. You can't hate the motion price from rocky mountain. $48 or something like that and it includes the idle kit.
  14. Black would be cool on that bike. Careful though, you know what they say......once you go black.....
  15. It's not a question of whether or not I should use bad ball joints. Obviously I won't run bad ball joints. My question is how do I know if they're bad? I'm not gonna blindly buy new parts if there's no need to.
  16. That's exactly what I'm afraid of. I guess I just don't have a good reference point to know what's excessive or not
  17. Ya I know that part, but what exactly am I looking for that says, hey that's definitely bad?
  18. First off I recognize the stupidity of this question, but what is the best way to test ball joints to see if they need to replaced? My front end is apart and I can easily push the lower left ball joint and it springs back into place. The other 3 have a decent amount of resistance in them.
  19. Black and white are solid together, black white and blue? Idk about that. Post a pic of your bike the way it is now!
  20. Express is expensive as shit, like $36 for a small flat rate box to ship within the US, let alone international. But, it may be the price you have to pay to be safe.
  21. Take it from me, I'm finishing a project just like this and you'll find it to be a money pit. It's not necessarily a bad thing though, it's s real sweet money pit lol
  22. You don't need to split the cases. The seal is only in the bottom case and is right on the outside of it too. It might not be that easy though. I've never had to do it, so someone else might be able to chime in too. You either need to get the seal out with the shaft still in place, or remove the clutch basket and pull the shift shaft out to have easy access to the seal. Like said ^^^^ I hope this makes sense cuz I got a good buzz goin lol
  23. Just get this and you'll be on your way http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=380439761448&index=4&nav=SEARCH&nid=98625293944 Then do this and you'll have an idling banshee http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=135591 If the first link doesn't work just search eBay for "banshee motion pro idle kit"
  24. All parts found. Thanks quadpro
