  1. whats wrong with just buying banshee parts. your paying for them anyways.
  2. there is a jet in the left carb bowl. it's for the choke. Not saying it your problem but there is one.
  3. why would you want to add that?
  4. yes if he ran it llow on oil like you said he could have done damage. could just need a top end ,but there is a chance he could have hurt the crank too
  5. i have a -2 from the swingarm shop and it seems to be holding up pretty good. only had it for a yr,but i beat the shit out of it with alot of flat landing jumps. still seems good to me.
  6. both r 20 ft.-lbs. and no i would get a new dowl pin, they help keep the jugs in place.
  7. i ran them in my banshee.they are a great piston. just make sure you inspect them befor you install them. i had two with nicks like somone dropped it, but they replaced them no ? asked.
  8. then fix it or get it fixed, but thats just me.
  9. with no mods 120 sounds good.i would look esle where.
  10. i like the fact that almost every banshee is different but the same. i love seeing modded banshee
  11. sounds like maybe your brakes are locking up or you have the e-brake on. does it roll easy or is it hard to push it?
  12. i have v3s with them and took them off. it seems to have better thottle response with out them.jmo
  13. looks damn good.can't wait to see it done. so far with what you have done, did you have to chop the frame yet or did it pretty much bolt right in? not including your pipes.
  14. it on the shifter side. it ends right about where the bar in front of the motor going down meets the frame, but start about 1/2 inch or so from that on the side of the tube moving to the front of the frame. good luck. oh yeah i know i said paint thinner but man it still fxcking stucked. lol. i ended aslo using some other paint stripper stuff that are bodyshop had. and i used a razor to srcap the top layers off the used and rag to finish.
  15. man i went though the same shit with my banshee. It's been powder coated and when they did it they nearly took off the vin number. it was a pain to get the powered coat off because you don't want to sand it away. you need to use paint thinner or somthing to get the powder coat off. even after i got mine clean the BMV lady try to tell me she couldn't read it. only reason they did is because i had a tittle from the prev. owner.and read off the vin to them and agrued how could i have rembered that number.good luck
  16. did you put the choke tube back in that goes from carb to carb?
  17. yep it's that easy. get a thumb thottle housing with a cable for a thumb thottle. then do like you said and check the slides and done.
  18. damn he right. but so you guys know, to find them you have to go to intake parts not carb like i thought at first.
  19. ok guys. he is right yamaha does not sell them, and no you can't get thm from a hardware store. the ones you see at ace, peppboy, aotuzone , will all be too thick. you need clamps off an import car they are small and fitt in the grooves pefect. plus imported car clamps don't have grooves in the band so it won't eat up the rubber. so go to a honda car dealer andg o to parts, and buy some hose clamps. i run some that i got off a radatior job i did at my shop. plus instead of that damn phillips it will be a 7mm.
  20. no larger front sporket and a smaller rear sporket will give more top speed and less torque. but still good for trails. i run a 15/38 on a 4mil for trails. theirs not a 4-stroke i can't pass on the trails, but most of them move when they hear the banshee soo. but honestly my buddy rides a 660 raptor and likes it.. he can keep up with me on trails. i rode i don't really like it.jmo. stock suspension on a raptor is way better than a front stock shock on a banshee. so if you don't plan on doing front shocks on a banshee then get a raptor
  21. there was soo much snow even after they plowed that cops weren't driving around, soo i took my banshee around my sub-division drifting down streets. Felt like it was legal. And fun as hell. i was riding around for about 2hrs. to bad they cleaned up the streets.
  22. or rebuild your master cylinder. i would go with 450 though.if your going to use 450 caliper might as well use the whole front brake system.
  23. it will make it run alot better. and better thottle reponse. jmo
  24. i had the same problem with a brand new primary drive sproket. it wasn't so bad at first but after a few long rides the rear sproket had 4 missing teeth, and most of the rest looked like a shark fine. When it first started it was mostly WOT. check each tooth on the rear sproket real close. roll it on the ground and see it the chain gets cuaght on the rear sproket. when you are down there look at the rollers and front chain slide too. the stock frot slide is junk and when it goes out the chain will eat into your swingarm. just worth a look.
  25. i have an aftermarket one,and after two years it is now starting rattle and get stuck. I was think of putting a cone shape sping on top of the kick starter mounting post then sliding on the kick starter lever.
