  1. What elevation are you at? I'm around 4500-5000 ft
  2. The cylinders have dj racing engraved in them, but that's all I know about who ported them. It has a 25 pilot, and I believe toomey needles. I set the timing back at +4 degrees. I did not do a leak down test. Yes I changed to straight Vp110 fuel mixing oil at 32:1
  3. Rebuilt a new engine and now runs poor. My old engine had T5 pipes, Vforce 3 reeds, pod filters, +4 timing bored out .040,135 psi compression, stock carbs. This engine ran great with 280 main and needle in 4th position Rebuilt a new engine using all the old parts except I'm now running ported cylinders and 185 psi compression. I changed the main jet to 330 and it ran terrible. Slowly worked my way down to a 290 with the needle in the second position and it now runs better, but from 1/4 throttlet to 1/2 throttle it still seems rich. If I dump the clutch with the engine in the higher rpm it takes off great. Is it possible my jet sizes stayed the same going from stock port cylinders to ported cylinders? Any help on what I need to do to get rid of the dead spot just above idle?
  4. Right now the pipes are paul turners but next week I'm switching to toomey t5. I have not really adjusted the carbs yet because I don't know how. I also did a whole engine rebuild replacing all seals and gaskets
  5. I just rebuilt my banshee this week because I had low compression. After putting it all back together I compression tested it and both cylinders had 150 psi, but while it runs I have a lot more air exiting on one cylinder than the other. Is it possible that my exhause is plugged up? It also had this problem before the rebuild which is another reason I rebuilt the engine.
  6. i just rebuilt my bike and put a few more upgrades on my bike. i was wondering what everyone from utah runs for their jetting and a suggestion on the jetting size that i should run... my bike is bored .040 with cool head, v force 3 reeds, k&n pod filters and toomey t5 pipes, also has a boost bottle. before the the rebuild it had paul turner mid rev pipes, stock reeds and was bored .020 with the same head on as it has now. and a single k&n air filter.
  7. took the top end off my bike and i noticed that one of the rods had quite a bit of end play. i measured with feeler guages and came to .029 in. the service manual says that it can go up to .029. Am i safe to run the bike as it is or should i take the bottom end apart and fix the crank?
  8. I just bough some nev v force 3 reeds I was wondering if you can run reed spacers with the reeds or just put the new cages in and run them
