  1. Thats what I thought. I need some 28PWK's I guess.
  2. Now not to change the subject, but I have another twist to things. I always seem to get some gas back on my air filter (hillclimbing, fuel is always dumping out) Never get water in the box, but could a partially fuel soaked air filter cause these symptoms?
  3. Isn't the rev problem (which seems like a lean condition) due to the stock carb's? I'm having this same problem, so I have been doing a lot of research on it. My airbox is bone stock, and I ride with the snorkel on when its wet. Even if I just barely spash the motor with water the bike will rev up. The one time it stuck full and wouldn't shut off!!!!! In other threads they were saying that the teflon wears off the carb slides and the moisture causes the carb to expand/contract causing a minor stick. I'm about to buy new carbs because I have water proofed everything with red RTV and it still does it. New throttle cable too. Oh, and I used a scotch brite pad on the slides too. Stil Sticks....
  4. So with 28 PWK's, and proper jetting it would ride like a jetski through water, and I wouldn't loose any power low or high? Lookin like it will be about $340 on E-bay from XCBob.
  5. Well I did my research and found out why the throttle sticks when I hit water. I'm not going to piss everyone off and ask "how do I fix this"..... Everyone seems to agree that the easiest fix is to get aftermarket carbs. I know that bigger is not always better especially when you don't have any other major mods done. My question is: What aftermarket carbs would be best for a mostly stock motor? Would I want to get 26mm Klein's? Currently I have a .30 over stock motor, boysen reeds, Uni & Proflow, and FMF Knarlys. I run with the stock airbox & lid and sometimes even use the stock snorkel when its real wet out. Down the road, I don't plan on major engine work (porting/polishing/major boring/ect). It has plenty of power for me. All I do is hill climb and trail ride. Basically I'm just looking to make the bike waterproof by jumping to aftermarket carbs. More low end power would be sweet, but ya can't always get what ya want. Any ideas/suggestions?? Thanks!
  6. Should have listened to you guys from the getgo. Streamline braided brake lines, brakes are PERFECT! I wasn't having any problems with the back one being the stock line, but I got the full kit and did them all. Huge Improvement! Thank You! For anyone reading, Braided Brake lines are a MUST HAVE! I'll post some pic's soon.
  7. Yea I shoulda known. Any particular brand you suggest? Now earlier someone mentioned "dual brake lines". Does this differ from the traditional single line off the MC and Y to the calipers? Well hopefully once I get these, my brakes should be kick ass!
  8. Best place hands down to ride in Ohio is Wellsville. Yes, you will see drunk hillbillys roll their machines down hills quite often, but the hill climbing there is heavenly. Go where ever, do whatever, any time you please.
  9. Yea that would be sweet! I think I need to fab up a water proof box for under there. Or just a box that I could put a tupperware container in.
  10. WINDYCITYJOHN400, whats wrong with saddle bags? Looks aren't everything my friend... I don't want to be able to haul logs around or anything, but the more I can carry, The longer I can be out riding. When you go on 30 or 40 mile treks into the appalachian mountains, and intend on doing lots of hill climbing, you need some luggage. Maybe out in the dunes you don't need any tools, or a drink or anything but around here we climb coal hill, rock shelves, and ride for all hours of the day in the dense forests. Shit breaks quite often. I've found some interesting luggage bags (I.E. tank bags) that they use on enduro motorcycles that would work well. Anyone suggest any certain ones?
  11. I've been looking into alternatives to the six pack rack too. I'm the one that posted about a front rack. I really don't want the six pack cause where I ride its mostly hill climbs and trails so you don't want any additional weigh in the back of the bike. I've found some interesting luggage bags (I.E. tank bags) that they use on enduro motorcycles that would work well. Somebody poked fun at the fact that I wanted to carry some additional stuff with me on my banshee, and said I should get another bike. I don't want to be able to haul logs around or anything, but the more I can carry, The longer I can be out riding. Which in my opinion makes me more hardcore haha. I would be So nice to have the camera, smokes, a few tools beyond the stock kit, tire plugs, can of fix a flat, compass, small container of gas, drink, and some snacks all on the bike. I've traditionally just worn a book bag but It really bothers me to have the weight on my back.
  12. I know that somone (i think trinity) makes a holder that goes under the seat for spark plugs. Anyone ever made or know of a company that makes a storage box that would go down there? There's enough room down there for some decent storage.
  13. Haha welll I do like to carry some luggage, but there's no way I'd want a different quad!! I mostly ride in wellsville, ohio so your climbing hills whereever you go, you get flat tires alot, there are many things that need to be captured via camera, and its nice to have a snack, and a drink, and maybe a 10mm wrench on ya. I've always strapped a small military ammo box to the front bumper, but i'm just looking for a litte more. Wellsville is hillbilly as hell, so the more hillbilly you are, the more you fit right in!
  14. Does anyone know of any front racks that are made for a banshee? I know they make them for some other sport bikes but I can't find one for a banshee. I'm aware of the rear six pack racks, but where I ride I'm always climbing hills and I don't want the weight on the back. Very sick of riding with a book bag and an ammo box wire tied to my front bumper isn't enough storage.
  15. Yea I've already rebuilt the MC. The lines are 11 years old now (shee's a 2000) so I'll try that next. Should I get banshee braided lines, or yfz450 lines? Thank you guys for the imput!
