just a heads up to anyone thinking of buying one. the red looks straight up like pink.....but i like it

i wouldnt be too worried over it. there is almost no difference between those two years (diff stator plug the only thing i can think of) as long as it runs and looks good i wouldnt worry over the year. when i got mine the guy said it was a 02, turns out its a 89 with a arm frame lol. but in the end year doesnt mean much on a banshee. got any pics

me and jugriggs drove 5 hours to look at a tecate 4 that was of course in excellent condition from the ad but with no pics. we get there and the guy has a pair of vice grips clamped to the shift shaft for a shifter and it was a huge pos. he then told us he got clocked at over 100 miles an hour while racing a "409" big bore banshee. with the vice grip shifter none the less. i was sitting at the fair before a demo derby and some middle aged dude starts talking about his bad ass banshee with a 15 tooth front sprocket doing every bit of 80 mph in 4th gear. when i heard banshee i almost turned around to make conversation but the ensuing remark changed my mind. some people

this dudes a piece of work. i had some extra tires and he had a good top case and bottom case with a crack. figured id go ahead and trade him anyway considering my bottom case is still good. i agreed to make a swap and told him all the details (plus i was gonna have to ship to rear tires to canada). then he backed out and said he thought i was trading all 4 tires for his one usable case and shipping them to canada. needless to say he is a jackass and i wouldnt deal with him on a stick of gum from now on

ya i hear ya. im gonna give them a call monday and see what i can do. what is it about the banshee stator that companies have so much trouble with? surely these companies cant have this much trouble with all there different makes of stator or how would they still be in business?

honestly ive never seen bad reviews on here about RM. guess i wasnt looking hard enough lol. ive saw tons of bad reviews about rs but didnt realize they were the same junk. shouldve known better anyway, i called them yesterday and said the post office tracked my package for me and they told me it was delivered. so the lady looked into it and actually called me back and said she found my package. so once i bs'd them about the post office they magically found it. well i guess i will just see what happens. its got a one year warranty so i will try to get my money back next time i have problems. thanks for the info guys

ya im absolutely up a creek with no paddle. i figure the chances of usps losing a package are like 1000 times less than the chance of rm losing my package once it got delivered. they prolly just put the pos back on the shelf and sold it to someone else. they will be getting harrassed by me for a couple weeks anyway so we will see what happens in the end. im guessing i will continue to be screwed but who knows

i bought a new stator and adjustable timing plate from them about a month ago. put it on and the motor tried to start for a split second every time i kicked it but wouldnt fire. double checked everything, then pulled it off and put my stocker back on and it fired up first kick. so i called them and they gave me a reference # to send it back. now two weeks after i sent it they say they have no record of receiving the package and will call me as soon as they get it. im thinking if they havent received it by now they probably never will. so i call the post office and they cant track it because i didnt ask for a tracking #. not to mention i have called rm 3 times and every time they say they will find out and call me back but they never do. the guy i talked to today just kinda blem me off and didnt offer any ideas on why they hadnt got it. is there really no way of tracking it?

man i hate that kinda crap. if someone is uneducated about something you would think they would at least listen to someone who knows what they are talking about or error on the side of caution. may want to double check for an air leak or something. if this happens again he will prolly be a real pain to deal with. he should have bought a warrior instead lol

so my stock basket cushions are beyond worn out and im too cheap to buy a billet basket right now. my question is can you change them on a stock basket? i saw the how to about going to a billet basket and saw how they use bolts to fasten the basket to the gear after the rivets are removed but are the stock basket holes tapped or is that just for aftermarket? also i cant find a kit that comes with the bolts.

makemefaster (dave) just got his juggs ported by them and head re chambered. i helped him put it back together and the port work looked really good and smooth but i dont know enough to really say for sure. he says it rips hard. as far as customer service you would have to ask him
