  1. Get some new friends. The ones you have are idiots. Are the 4 strokes not also liquid cooled, and your car or truck for that matter. What doeas liquid cooled and cold have to do with each other, other than running antifreeze.
  2. Cut fronts wont really get you very muddy, but the rears are a different story. I have an outerwears cover over my airbox to help keep water out and it has worked great so far.
  3. I could be wrong, but I don't think you can actually test a CDI.
  4. Ive had it happen before. Just lock up the back brake. If the wheel cant spin, the motor cant turn. No problem.
  5. Brand new Rockets are only $600. What is the big deal?
  6. The last time I heard of anyone doing that it was a guy on a sled and his cop buddy with the radar gun. He managed to run his buddy over and kill him, fall off and kill himself.
  7. ???? post above = a little confusing. I just fitted it as per instructions. Removed one disk bolt and installed the supplied bold. Was careful not to over tighten and strip the bolt. Then I drilled out one of the holes in the brake shield and fitted the sensor. It took a few minutes to install with a 9v power feed. I checked the speed against the banshee converter online and it was accurate so I did not play with it. When you get to 6 gear WOT the vapor is basically unreadable due to vibration, but what do I know it is one in the morning after a few
  8. 4 strokes and 2 strokes are different animals
  9. Try the search function. There have been a few posts about these in the past. a few giys had good things to say if I remember right.
  10. I think that only works if you buy on ebay. For a private deal they will do nothing.
  11. What kind of horsepower would the complete motor setup be putting out?
  12. Why bother with the valve? How often do you check pressure, and its not like it would be that hard to get to. Just flip them, and if you dont like it, flip em back.
  13. Your version of polished must be way different from mine judging by the pic
  14. CPI's with a 2 into 1 carb. What is the point of that????
  15. Stinger length and diameter are all part of the pipe design calculations. Shortening the stinger will not add power. But it will make the bike louder, and to a lot of people louder = faster. Even un-silenced out of frame drag pipes have long stinger pipes on them. I dont see that it will hurt the motor, but it may get you kicked out of some riding areas
  16. you could just buy an external enclosure for the old drive and use that as your backup. It will work the same as an external hard drive. Look for an enclosure for a laptop drive
  17. Tires still have nobbys on them. Yea right, on the outer edge maybe. He doesnt know anything about the bike. Cool head ported???????????? Intake manifold port matched to head???????????? $3000 starting bid??????????? Zero bids with the auction ending in 2 hours. Seems like people saw through his BS. Personally I would buy from someone who knows what they have, or offer him next to nothing for it. And welcome
  18. I would say you are running lean. What do the plugs look like?
  19. That may be the correct way of doing it, but it is a lot of work. I would try pull the seal out without taking the motor apart. Get a seal pick or use a screw to pull the seal out. Just be careful not to nick the shaft.
  20. Since the shop usually does automotive work I would triple check the port chamfers before putting it back together.

    Holy sR@#$R

Quad hits cliff???? It should be face hits cliff.
  22. It really shouldn't push together by hand, it should have to be lightly tapped together with a soft hammer. The OEM water pump is plastic. You use any type of hammer on that you are asking for the pump to fail. Read the Yamaha manual. There is no mention of having to use any force as it not a press fit. Mine went in with no effort at all, just like it came out.
  23. What gave it away, other than this being posted in the humor section?
  24. On my Clark tank, there was a special gasket that came with the tank. It is much thicker than the OEM. It was taped onto the bottom of the tank.
  25. Difficult to ride on the sand when it is under 20 feet of snow
