  1. Found my answer, thanks http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=118299
  2. Thanks guys. If you noticied the same location on the right side carburetor, there was a brass tube that was in place in that location. You can see the top of it in the attached picture of the right side carb and the tube extended past the top of the main jet. The gasket for the bowl had a provision for the tube and on the right side, I first had to slide the bowl gasket over the tube and then set it in place on the carb before attaching the bowl. It just seemed odd the left side carb didn't have the same brass tube.
  3. I just bought a banshee not too long ago that has Toomey T5 pipes. I finally pulled off the carburetors to check the jetting and adjust the floats. On the left carburetor when I pulled off the bowl, I noticied that the small tube is missing that is attached to the carburetor which goes into the bowl. It is the small tube that is along the edge of the carburetor right next to the main jet. Does anyone know if this is needed (it has to be there for a reason) and where I might be able to pick one up (I don't think this part is available as a separate piece from the dealer)? I attached a picture for better reference. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. Just bought a Banshee with full set of Toomey T5 pipes and I tore down the carbs to maintenance. Is there a way I can tell if the needles are the Toomey needles and is it necessary to run them? Also, is there a source other than Toomey to buy the right needles, they want $50 for the needles. I can take a picture tonight of the needles. Thanks
  5. My elevation is 1,950 but I run anywhere from 1,600 to 2,200 feet. Temperatures here in PA when I ride range from 50 and 60's in the evenings to high 80's in the summer. Bike is stock with the exception is the Tommey T5 pipes. I just bought the quad and it seemed to be running a little lean. I pulled the carbs and the previous owner had 260 main jets in it. I believe I am going to need 280 main jets. Also, I am going to be running a K&N filter with no airbox lid. I will be replacing the stock reeds with boyseen reeds. I also adjusted the floats and ensured the clip on the needle was in the 4th groove (which it was). Regarding the needle, do I need to replace the needle as I see the Toomey instructions says to replace it with the one supplied in their kit? Also, how could I tell if I already have the Toomey needle? Based on the Toomey instructions, it looks like I can leave in teh stock pilot jet. Thanks
  6. I do a lot of street driving (back roads) and dirt roads. How would the Hoosier Tri Tracs tires be for this kind of driving? I was looking at the 18x11x10 size for the rear. Also would compound should I run the T10 or the T20, I would like to get decent amount of use on the tires.
  7. Considering ordering them. I know some individuals had fit meant problems with the old design. Thanks
  8. Looking for some good pictures. Trying to decide between this one and the AC Racing blackline bumper. Thanks
  9. Does anyone know of a good place to buy the AC Racing propeg blackline nerf bars (in black)? I want to AC Racing's website and they didn't even have the proline listed for the Banshee. Thanks
  10. I am looking at buying at Banshee and I am going to primarily ride it on railroad tracks and dirt roads. What do you guys think of this Banshee on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220564300891&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT
  11. Thanks guys. I may be able to get the quad a lot cheaper. My only concern is truly understanding what was done to the Banshee. He says he has every receipt including all the work done Trinity (he says the receipt shows $3,500). Would anyone who is very familiar with these mods be willing to call the seller for me? I don't know that I would know the right questions to ask to determine what is really up with the mods. I would really appreciate if someone would be willing to do this as I am sure someone knowledgeable could tell within a few minutes is the seller knows anything about the quad. Thanks again.
  12. Thanks for the advice thus far. Here is the link with pictures: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000-Yamaha-Banshee_W0QQitemZ280443159321QQcmdZViewItemQQptZATVs?hash=item414bb70319 I haven't seen the Banshee yet in person and plan to make a trip this week. It is about 4 hours away from me (too bad I couldn't find someone close to take an initial look). If you guys think I could do better, let me know as I just started looking for a Banshee. My plans with the bike is just to ride the railroad tracks and gravel roads (primarily want top-end). I don't plan to do any trail riding, hill climbing, etc. I just bought a house next to the tracks and would like something to jump on and ride. I
  13. Hello everyone, I am getting ready to buy a 2000 banshee that has the following parts: 420 long rod(Trinity Racing) Stage 4 cool head, cool head ported, stage 4 intake manifold match ported to head, Procircuit pipes, 34mm 2-into-1 carb, Dyna ignition, V-force reeds, K&N filter, DG bars, bumper, nerf bars and skid plates, Alba graphics, ITP wheels with Bandit tires 6yrs old and still have nobbys on them, lots of billet accessories The guy is the original owner and claims the engine has 20 hours since the Trinity mods. The banshee looks very clean and no noticeable damage. 1. What do you think is a fair price? 2. What questions or concerns should I have considering the mods? 3. Finally, should I perform a compression check before buying? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
