  1. I have two LT80's for my kids. One totally stock and the other modified. Nice quads with plenty of aftermarket stuff and bulletproof reliability.
  2. You might want some wrist pin bearings too. Sounds like a fair price for that other stuff, they will treat you right.
  3. My service manual says the gap between the pulse coil and the flywheel should be .020"
  4. I run 20x10x10 10 paddle haulers and I think they Rock! Anything less and I can't get out of the hole at all. Tried a brand new set of 20x10x10 12 paddle haulers a friend of mine got for xmas and they were awesome for draggin, but I felt like they hooked up a little too much during duning and trails. If all I did was drag I would go with more paddles, but for all around duning the 10 paddles work great for me.
  5. Damn Loco! I got a certificate too but it was for about the same as Mat's. RMATV Rules
  6. Good question, anyone know?
  7. Hope you had a good one!
  8. Almost all extended arms do use stock length shocks. But they are revalved to work with the extra leverage put on them from moving the wheels out further. You can put your stock shocks back on with extended arms, but it won't work very well. The front end will be soft and will also drop a couple of inches.
  9. I bought replacement factory seals from Rocky Mountain Atv and they fit right in.
  10. Suppose to be 2.1 more HP at +4 degrees advance, it's noticable.
  11. When you slide the axle in the steel insert will center up. You don't have to buy the bearing kit from Lonestar, same as stock bearings. I bought a Lonestar swingarm off of Ebay, and when I got new bearings from Rocky Mountain ATV they fit perfect. Lonestar told me I had to buy the kit from them............
  12. Happy B'day bud!
  13. When I do a top end job I leave the timing advanced for the break-in. Never thought about backing it off.
  14. The 3rd & 4th pic show that they are Mikuni's, maybe a TM or TMX. They don't look very large like 28mm, should be able to check by measuring the bore with a set of calipers. Since it looks like they are rigged up on a cable already someone most likely used them on a Banshee. Let us know how they work.
  15. I have a friend with a stock stroke and dune porting, he ran 28mm Keihins bored to 30mm for years, and it ran very good. He finally bought a set of 35mm Keihins and it woke it up from the bottom on up to the top end, way more pull on top. I liked it the way it was, used to always easily smoke him when we would drag!
  16. Of all the Banshee flywheels I have lightened since 1989, no one has ever wanted to go back to a stocker, period. If you try it you will like it. Don't talk to someone that doesn't have one, talk to people that do have lightened flywheels if you want facts.
  17. I use 2 long 1/4" drive extensions to reach that bolt inbetween the carbs. Much easier than pulling the carbs.
  18. I also love the interiors on Chevy/GMC trucks the best, but the power of my Cummins is awesome. I also have already had to get the tranny upgraded thanks to Dodge, the stocker crapped out coming home from Glamis. Get what you like and can afford, they all have their good and bad points.
  19. Here is a fairly current pic of mine with +2 +1 JD Performance D arms. BdBanshee's '88 Banshee
  20. Exactly what he said. Big carbs have more top end on modified motors, and many times the larger carbs will also have as much low end as a stock carb. Stock carbs will have more low end on stock or mildly modified motors.
  21. Paid $2900 for it new in '88, and have replaced most things once, and some several times. The list of things that are still original is very short. I try to always buy a better part than the one that wears out or breaks. Almost 17 years of riding it later, lots of $$, but a hell of a lot more !!!!
  22. I bought mine new for $2900, it was a while ago though........................
  23. I guess we will have to agree, to disagree then. How many other quads have a cylinder firing twice per revolution? Two power strokes every 360 degree revolution, not firing once every 720 degrees like a 4 stroke.
