  1. add another helping of oil what the hell wont hurt the eng running to rich just extra smoke mabey a plug
  2. the carb bowls are only made for right or left they are diff check them if you had them off
  3. check your shifter star on the other side of the case inside poss missaligned
  4. you might have dirt in the carb also check your air filter make sure its clean
  5. buy a cd manual on ebay the trannys are very easy to do i took my trans apart lots of times very easy trust me . the tranny splits top to bottom instead of sideways so no parts fall out when you split the case the only special tool you need it a flywheel puller 8.00 .also you can get the breakdown pics at this site http://216.37.204.206/xtremepowersports/Ya...M/YamahaATV.asp
  6. Check your compresion its low below 100 psi time to rebuild .
  7. i have a 98 shee just put it together had case split to check it out everything looked ok i still cant get it into 2nd it grindes any help here.every other gear is ok.

  9. my shee is stock except for kn filter and pre filter stock piolets 240 mains 1 down on neddle 1 and half turns on air screws boost bottle also
  10. did you take the stock rubber rings out of the clutch pack those are for noise also tusk clutches are very very cheeply made well good luck
  11. tighten the first nut to 40ftlbs then holding first nut go to 140ftlbs on outer then holding the outer nut back inner off to 170 tward outer nut always use lock tight red and it will still come lose (buy a lonestar axle and carrier ) when you get an extra 1400.00 ha ha myne is still stock i dont have the extra cash
  12. Ebay you can buy a regular service manual cd for like 5.00 plus shiping i got one excelent you can print stuff out then dont worry about gitting stuff dirty reall nice
  13. just weondering what the stock gap is and if to much gap would cause it to be hard to statr when cold always have to push start first time of the day .
  14. my friend has a good set of j arms he wants 100 bucks 4 both he bought a kit 4 his 87 to change it over to a-arms let me know if ur intrested
  15. thanks im going to do a comp test also i think the pilots are stock also i found the left side carb pilot was all the way in stuck i got it freed would that effect the starting?
