  1. Usually you have to apply some heat with a torch the 1st time you disassemble it.
  2. I've been at +5 since 1989, no problems yet.
  3. I'll have to remember that!
  4. I have had the same thing happen. Chained the banshee between 2 gate posts and pulled the frame back into shape. That part of the frame needs to be reinforced with gussets. I have seen several pics posted on here of frames with gussets added in that area.
  5. I always torque mine to 12.5 ft. pounds, never had a problem. There is something wrong if it keeps happening to you.
  6. If you have a choice, go with the Noss. He is a sponsor of the HQ, he'll even give HQ members a discount!
  7. I still have the stock front brake lines on with my +2 +1 arms, they work fine. Would prefer to get new braided lines, but still waiting..........
  8. I ride mostly sand and I love them. Handles way better everywhere.
  9. Most people use 2 stroke oil instead of motor oil. I mix mine at 32:1, some people mix at 40:1, just stay consistent.
  10. Use the numbers on the stock head in order, and it's 18-22 ft. lbs. of torque
  11. Because there has been a bunch of bad Skat Trak haulers, the paddles break off. The last 2 sets I bought were junk, nothing like the previous sets I had. Several friends of mine had the same problem. Same riding area, same quads, just bad paddles. That's why I went with the Extreme this time, sturdier paddle.
  12. If the motor is stock you should have no problems running with 91-93 Octane. Race gas would be a waste of money, only use it if you require it.
  13. I think they never believe us that they work so good because we also do this mod for $$. At least until they try it..............
  14. If you have an Easy pull lever, you may want to try putting the cable in a stiffer position and see if that helps. The reason is that it will give you more cable pull which should stop the quad from moving while the clutch is pulled in. I have not been able to get any of the easy pull levers to adjust correctly and not creep forward when in gear in the easiest position. It may be because of the Barnett clutch I'm running, who knows?
  15. Nice job! Cool touch with all the blue hoses too.
  16. I have had 3-4 sets of 10 paddle haulers, and now have the 10 paddle hauler extremes. The Extemes hook up great, but I had 8 inch wheels before and now have the 10 inch so they aren't exactly the same. I have a friend that let me try a brand new set of 12 paddle Extreme before I ordered my new tires. They hooked up awesome for drag racing but I didn't feel they were near as good of an all around tire. If I was just draggin that's what I would have bought, much better holeshot!
  17. Gearing also depends on what size tires you have on the rear.
  18. I have had mine for several years, work great. If I remember right they actually weight more than the stock pistons, but the wrist pins they send with them weight alot less (larger hole in wrist pins). Might weight slightly less than stock with Wiseco pins versus stock Yamaha pins. I weighed all these on a digital scale that was very accurate.
  19. Easy job. If you are switching bars just leave the grips on the old bars, maybe someone will need them for a spare?
  20. And here is a pic of some unfinished Xtreme Fabrications D arms:
  21. Here is a pic of the LS V arms:
  22. The website is: http://www.jdperformanceatv.com/ The only thing that mine needed modified was the spindles. Had to ream the tapers, I sent them to him because I couldn't find the right reamer. When you get the parts you just bolt everything up and ride.
  23. I bought the JD Performance +2 +1 D arms. As far as handling I like it much better than stock width. And with the upgraded shocks ( I went with Works triple rate w/rezzies) rough terrain is much smoother. I can go thru deep whoops in any gear, just don't let off! Here is a pic:
  24. I bought +2 +1 D arms for mine, they work fine but I wish I had just went ahead and converted it to A arms instead. In the long run you will be better off.
  25. Exactly!
