  1. They are talking about the gap between the pulse coil and the pulse triggers on the flywheel. Yamaha book says .020". If it is off, loosen the two screws holding it to the timing plate and adjust. I recommend blue locktite on those!
  2. When I had it in Tech School we had to do several projects that were assigned to us first, before we could make whatever we wanted. Probably different schools have different curriculums though. Throttle cover or front ressy cover wouldn't be too hard, gas cap or rear ressy cover will be more advanced because of the threads.
  3. I've been using Castrol 2 stroke oil in my Banshee since 1988, works great. I have never had a top end problem or lost a crank.
  4. Sometimes it does help to move the shifter up a notch. Walk around with the boots on at home to help break them in also. Good luck!
  5. The stock base gaskets are the same way, that's because you have to flip one of them over to fit the other cylinder.
  6. If you lived closer we might work something out, I have a 1994 Kawasaki 750SX stand up.
  7. I buy all my Keihin carb parts from Sudco. 3014 Tanager Ave. Commerce, CA 90040 U.S.A. Tel: (323)728-5407 Fax: (323)728-8060 Email: sudco@sudco.com
  8. Anytime you remove the clutch basket you need a new lock washer, you know the kind with the bend up tab that is only good for one use.
  9. You should be able to read the word "UP" from the topside. Good luck on those Cometic head gaskets, they don't last long in mine.
  10. You don't even have to put them in with the stock clutches, in fact I would recommend leaving them out. I have a friend that had one get inbetween a couple of clutch plates and fry his clutch.
  11. If you ride much at all stay away from aluminum sprockets.
  12. It should be fine. I usually replace mine while I have it apart, but that's not very often! I know many people that have put them back together without changing them even with months of run time on them.
  13. I use those two pegs on the frame to attach my support bracket for my clamp-ons...............
  14. The flange only works with a specific filter. It should be marked on the flange. If you are running the UNI filter, then the K&N isn't going to fit on that flange.
  15. What year frame is it? How much? Thanks,Ron.
  16. The stock coil is only about $48, what is better about the Ricky Stator coil?
  17. Mine are the real thing, good to know though.
