Sounds like the problem is the rubber donuts in your stock basket are shot. Make sure the basket you buy comes with a new set of donuts. Aftermarket baskets come with a plate and bolts to attach the whole assembly together. You will have to drill the rivets out, new basket will come with complete instructions.
You may have to remove the two screws and take a round file to slot the holes the direction you need adjustment. Surely there is a way to adjust that..........
I have had no problems with my Barnett. I haven't tried EBC, but a friend has EBC and the springs wouldn't hold his motor, had to get the Barnett springs. This is on a ported Banshee with CPI's and 35mm carbs.
There should be two philips screws that you loosen, and adjust the distance that the pulse coil is to the flywheel. I always set mine at .030" but the book does says .020"
I have done this to many Banshee's, why remove the cover just to make an adjustment?
I used a boring bar in a vertical mill, but a 2 1/2" holesaw works good too. /
I'm pulling out in the morning, probably get there around noon. Don't know where I'll be camped yet but will try for Cowboy camp. I'll put some duct tape below my flag.
So far looks like the weather might not be too good (snow showers?) until closer to next weekend. Oh well, guess we might need to bring the PS2 and some brews.........

Sometimes the rubber gaskets in the carb caps let the moisture in and it freezes almost instantly on the slide from the velocity of the incoming air, not a good thing. I had a friend that had just washed his Banshee and took it down his gravel drive to pick up the mail when he opened it up and it stuck like that, wasn't pretty.
Oh yeah!
1st thing is to have it mounted to the arbor solid, I would never chuck up on the flywheel. Then having the proper tooling and know how to machine it chatter free.
When are you getting the equipment? The guy that was making my Banshee Worx stickers is too busy doing stock cars to return my calls.
Let me know when you get your stuff and you can give me a quote on some.
Don't bore out to .080" over unless you need to. You won't feel the difference between .020" over, and .080" over, but you will lose several bore sizes that you might need! So if you are on stock bore now, have them order .020" over pistons.
