  1. What jetting are you running in your 39s pilot/needle/ clip on the needle and mains?
  2. The tach on the vapor is a joke. Mine also used to show peaks of over 12k with stock ports and t5s. Just doesnt work for shit.
  3. Hmmm check that out, 3 sets of mazzi's. I dont like them though, they stick out too damn far. Wish they made a 20x8 version. oh well. When these Toyo ATs wear out, im going to the MTs. I wanted them the first go around, but they were impossible to get at the time. I hate the way the ATs perform in the dirt. I would love to go to a 35 or 37 inch, but truck is already pretty high for my 5th wheel with the 33s
  4. I think that bang for the buck the cub is the way to go. However, it seems that all the hardcore big HP guys are going toward the DM and even the DMX. I dont know much about the twisters, but have seen some dyno runs on other forums and they are also making sick power. Guess it depends on what you want to spend. The thing about the DM is it is going to require some pretty extensive case work to use on stock cases. I believe they need to relocate some studs and open up the transfer area. Not sure about the twisters in that regard. If you want to avoid all the extensive casework, you may want to look towards the Cheetah, i dont believe a ton of case work is required on them. I know they will need to machine for the larger bore, but do not believe they need to relocate any studs.
  5. The more i think about it, you probably can get away without putting it back together. If you give the person who is cutting the domes the amount the piston sticks out, they should be able to cut them the way you need them.
  6. If its the left side, its the stator side. Pull the stator cover and make sure the flywheel is tight. check and make sure nothing is rubbing under there. If it is a bearing, i cant see it coming or going. Oh, and here you go, if it is a bearing this is what happens. LOL
  7. Yep all stock stuff, blue or purple loctite, whichever is closer to me at the time LOl and torque to about 4 ftpds or so. I use an inch pound torque wrench set to 48-50 inch pounds. works good for me. Just a thought, but what brand torque wrench are you using. If it is a cheap one and it is in fact a ft/lb wrench, i wouldn't expect it to be very accurate down at the bottom of the scale which 7 pounds is going to be near the bottom of any ft/lb wrench. Thats why i use a 1/4" drive inch pounder
  8. Cool, thanks, i will shoot you a pm. I am thinking one of th 8" bars down low, with a 35w trail tech HID on the hanldebars. I dont have stock mounts on my frame, so i will make something down below.
  9. Hopefully somebody can help you out man, i am trying to figure out why the noise would go away with no oil in it. I wouldn't run 80 or 90 weight. Lots of guys use ATF, i use honda HP trans oil, some use belray, etc. Honestly as long as you use the correct weight oil and change it often, it probably doesn't matter which one it is. Have you tried filling it back up and pushing it again?
  10. If the bike is in other wise good condition, id jump on it in a heartbeat. If you are mechanically inclined a banshee case split is a pretty easy damn job. You can pick a complete tranny up from ebay for 125--150 bucks all the time. While you are in there you could improve a few things like billet water pump, new clutch, modded shift star, weld/true crank and still spend way less than a grand and have a kick ass reliable bike.
  11. Who rewoundi it for you?? There are tons of us on here looking for alternatives to the ricky stator cheap chinese shit. If if works well we could probably keep the guy busy for quite a while LOL
  12. I run the stock bolts. When you tightened them the first time did you use a torque wrench? I believe the manual says 7 ft-lbs if i remember correctly. If you use thread locker or lubricant on the bolts before you put them in, that is too much imho. I put blue loctite on them and only go to a couple of ft-lbs and leave them be, never had a problem.
  13. Hey snop, have you tried one of the smaller bars on a bike yet?? My buddy has one of their bigger bars (I think its the 42, but may be the 32") on a long travel sand car. It is bright as hell, but seems to be more of a flood type light. He still uses a couple of big HIDs to reach out there. Do you think you would need both on a bike. Like maybe an 8" bar coupled with a 35w HID on the handlebars?? Just thinking about what to do on my bike.
  14. Have used them in rear carrier, front hubs and 2 shock pivot rebuilds.. No complaints good price
  15. Here you go. Sounds like homie done lost it. http://www.latimes.com/features/health/la-...0,7145840.story
  16. We need to have a sticky fuck ricky post LOL Hopefully nobody from the BHQ ever buys from them again
  17. that right there was funnier than the napolean dynomite reference. LOL
  18. Rear wheels are 4 on 115mm and front are 4 on 156mm for all the late model bikes. A couple of the earlier year bikes used a 4 on 156 rear wheel pattern, same as front. Dont know offset for sure. Pretty sure the rear are 9x9 with a 4 inch backspace, and the front are 10x6 or 10x5 with a 3 inch backspace
  19. Yeah, rough job huh?? LOL. they must hate the fact that they have to patrol all day long in a long travel sand car or ride around on a quad. LOL Must be tough. I certainly wouldn't want to be a cop and deal with all the a-holes. but man, if you were, that seems like the way to do it. I know when we were there, we watched 2 of them " patrol" for quite a while one slow morning. If you can call carving up some nice smooth dunes patroling.
  20. You dont want to wire it to the key switch, you need to go into the run/kill switch harness and tie one of your tether wires to the black/white wire and the other wire from your tether either gets run to ground or tie it into a black ground wire in the same harness. Do not run it to the coil, this can be hard on the CDI.
  21. Man, ive been resisting finding out. Im pretty sure if i ride one it will come home with me and the wife will beat my ass. Ive been hearing almost all good. Like anything the first year has a few issues, but nothing major i can tell. The list of shit these things come from the factory with blows my mind. Pretty easy to justify the extra money in my mind. LOL
  22. I forgot all about this thread. After i didn't get an answer to my question back then, i started searching some old threads and found out about the back cutting of every other dog. I decided against it and figured if i was going to do any tranny mods, i would just go all the way to a duneable override.
  23. HEHEHe, lately, this is as good as porn for me. I want one bad Kind of feels like im cheating on my Shee, but the bitch will get over it.
