Dont want to wheelie on a stock swingarm. Thats tough. probably would want some v shaped paddles. Howerver, if you are sure you want the haulers keep in mind the taller the tire and smaller rim, the tire will bite harder. So if you dont want to wheelie, id probably get some 20/10/10 8 paddle haulers. I have 20/10/10 10 paddle haulers, and they still hook up pretty good once you have some tire speed. They just dont launch as hard as say my 22/11/8 9 paddles

If you only ride sand, and dont have to hit any hard surfaces to get to the dunes, they last forever. I have a set of skat trak haulers on one of my trikes that i bought in 1989. They still have pretty good tread (paddles probably 75-80%) but they just wont hold air anymore lately. Not bad for 20 years old.

Oh yeah, you forgot to put what size sprockets you run, and what brand of chain you have. Plus could you pleas list where you bought each item so i can duplicate the purchase if i feel the need. How many pleats are in your seat. How often do you change said ATF. How much fuel do you use to purge, What color were those zip ties. I need to know.

Dajo is a sig whore. LOL :yelrotflmao: Oh yeah, and fuck the limitations, its more fun to be able to make fun of people when they abuse it

Yeah, i dont know like i said, i just got my skat trak edges with the 8" rim. Im hoping to meet in the middle between my haulers and the skate2s. Bottom line is you are going to have a blast. You guys are going to be there a while, so im sure you will ride somebodys bike with some straights, or maybe somebody will be there with some spares you can try so you know what you want next time. Trust me, there will be a next time. LOL Glamis is like disneyland for dudes. Except more tits and ass and lots of kick ass quads buggies and just about everything else you can imagine. Once you ride at glamis, everything else is just a compromise IMHO. Fuck i wish i could make it, i could bring about 4 sets of spares and let you guys see for yourselves how they act. work blows, my riding season sucks the big one this year

I have 20/10/10 10 paddle haulers, 21/12/8 8 paddle haulers, 21/12/8 9 paddle haulers, 22/11/8 9 paddle haulers, and a new set of 21/12/8 8 paddle skat trak edges. I have tried sand skate 2s I have mostly straights because i came off of 250r trikes, and they turn great on straights because you can throw your weight around better and get the bike to kind of lean in the turns. So i started buying all straights for my bikes when i got into banshees. First off everybody above is right, there is no magic answer. Wacko, obviously, you haven't ridden the sand yet, so you cant really answer what kind of riding you will enjoy. Jay is right on the money when he says the v paddles will way out turn/slide the straights. Any body that argues that has never tried them back to back or is on drugs period. The question is do you need it to turn/slide that well. I tried the sand skates and they were to slide happy IMHO. You can basically slide them almost as well as a set of knobs in the dirt. Problem is they dont have near the forward bite of the straight blades, and i constantly found myself stuck when trying to climb out of holes like rippen and the guys do at walden. I was up in oregon, and there were holes that we would go down into that there wasn't even room to turn around. We had to get off the bike pick the ass end up and swing it around, then launch right on the hill. For that type of riding where you are climbing, and especially with a dead run, you want straights all day long. For just running through the dunes, the straights have great manners as well. But if you enjoy doing hairpins and sliding alot as jay described, the Vs really shine. you can blast up a dune and pitch it sideways across the face and powerslide across it on the way down, and that is a blast also. Glamis has really soft deep sand, so the straights are really nice and will basically let you climb a wall if you wanted to. The taller the tire and smaller rim will bite harder and be less slide friendly. My 22/11/8s are way more aggressive than my 20/10/10s even though there are more paddles on the smaller tire. I guess if you can read through all this hot air i just typed, it depends on where/how you are riding. I had a blast carving through the dunes on the skates last time just goofing around. However didn't like them for plain hill climbing. I just picked up the 21/12/8 edges hoping to find a happy medium. I think the 20/10/10s are a pretty good compromise as well. I would actually like to try a set of 20/10/8s. in a 8 or 9 paddle. Sorry, i probably didn't help too much, but i would say either a short straight blade or taller v blade for play riding.

chrome pro circuits must sell
rubberneck replied to monster38d's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
If they are in decent shape, im interested, but sorry no money orders. What complications are there with paypal??? If you dont want to pay the fees, then tell the purchaser that and they can pay it. Maybe somebody else will take em. -
You can actually get 5 degrees without taking out too much material. i do mine on a mill with a rotary table and can crank 5 degrees on the table.

Jeff, you really should send these 2 guys some shirts and stickers or something. This post has gotten so many views, your phone must be blowing up. Great advertising really. LOL

Nothing too usefull to add. Since i haven't said it in a while, i just wanted to say FUCK ASR. they suck dong

I have 22/11/8 9 paddle haulers on my 421 with a +2 swingarm. It would probably be better with an 8 paddle. I just picked up some 21/12/8 9 paddles, and i cant wait to try them. I think they well be better for the type of riding im doing. i would say 2-4 inch arm get some 8 or 9 paddles, anything longer than that i dont have any experience, so listen to the other guys.

My guess is it must be the difference between a prepared track and the dunes. It seems the drag guys are saying add air and all the dune draggers are saying let air out for more traction. I agree with the duners, but have never put a wheel on a track. I know that climbing hills, with too much air you just dig holes. Let a little air out and the haulers will stay on top more. i guess you just need to play around and works best for you.

Well there hasn't been a whole lot of usefull information lately, so we may as well entertain ourselves.

Havent been to glamis in a while, but last time I was in oregon, I burned 6-8 gallons a day on my cub, my brother burned about 5 with his all bolt on bike. That is usually 3-4 decent rides per day, but if you are young and in shape and really getting after it i could see you burning 8-10 gallons a day at glamis. You can just ride and ride and ride basically untill you have to turn back for fuel. so yeah , id figure at least 50 gallons for 7 days. 20 gallons in a week riding all day, come on savage, admit it, you must have been doing a little less riding and a little more partying. LOL Maybe on a 4 poke, but not a banshee

completely stock, damn, what is that, i dont wouldn't know where to start. LOL Should have 25 pilots, and I believe 200 or 210 mains. since its all stock and all you did was freshen it up, I would clean the carbs well, make sure the floats are set at 21mm from top of float to gasket surface (with carb upside down). Also make sure that you have good flow from the petcock out of the tank. there are 2 filters in the tank on the valve that can get clogged with shit. Also make sure the cap is venting properly.
-
Wouldn't want to, but i would have to. Its kind of like a big wreck, you just have to stare you know
-
Some of them have migrated to Oregon

If it passed leaked down and held 6 psi for 10min, that pretty much rules out air leak. We need a little info on set up. It could just be a jetting issue. What pipes and air filter/filters are you running. Any other mods to the motor? What fuel are you running, is it fresh? What is timing set at? With the bike idling are you getting bubbles up at the radiator cap?

i bought tires from rockymountain today, so im definitely a rockymountain NUSTWINGER. LOL Oh yeah and you guys can party with all the peanut butter you want, just keep it to yourselves. (And people say california is full of fruits) Oh yeah, I bought all my shit from FAST, and ill buy more, so if anybody has a problem with that I couldn't give a shit

At what point is a Banshee no longer a banshee?
rubberneck replied to shanYE west's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Nope, that is a wet dream. that bike is sick looking Based on that criteria, every bike with a cub is no longer a banshee. I would say once you go as far as to add cylinders or change the motor all together its no longer a banshee. PS. fouledout, i dont know what it is, but your bike is one of my favorites. I love the stance. who's frame is that? -
Engine Problem, I'm at a loss what to do next..
rubberneck replied to fc3swrx's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
If the crank checks out, at a minimum get it welded. IMHO if the cases are ever split on a banshee, the crank should be welded. The following pics will show why i feel that way. Im not sure if the crank started to separate and it took out the rod bearing or vise versa, but you get the drift. LoL Be carefull talking to that FAST guy, mine started out as above and ended up like this. JK. Jeff is a good guy and will not sell you what you dont need, unless you want him too LOL -
I agree, 320s minimum but it depends on the bike. my bolt on bike has t5's and K&N pods with outerwear, and I run 340mains at sea level when temps are in the 60s F I belive i had to drop the needles (toomey) 2 notches from center
-
I prefer blue of purple loctite as it lubes going in plus keeps things snug until you want them out. Not that banshees vibrate anything loose or anything. LOL
-
I still have the ugly ass yellow stock wheels lying around. I used to use them just for storing the bike when i take the paddles off. Just too fucking ugly. I had to buy a set of knobbies just so i didn't have to look at that shit everyday in the garage. LOL
-
Dave, where would you get a set of lectrons if you were looking to buy a new set. My buddy has some on his stock cylinder 10mil, and after watching him tune them, I think i might want to go that route and sell my 39pwks. I am running gas
