  1. i have an 83 and and 86. the 83 will in no way compare to your previous 86, but it is still fun and reliable. Id say trade for sure
  2. the difference is huge, 20/10/10 suck, they dig more than anything else. The taller tire/smaller rim combo hooks way harder
  3. Hell yeah, if you did nothing more than add the larger drain bolt to access the pilots, i would be a happy camper everything else is just icing
  4. For climbing out of tree shots and general getting after it +3 on the 21/12/8 8 paddle haulers. For carving the dunes and play riding I also love the 21/12/8 8 paddle edge paddles.
  5. honestly cant speak for that, when mine did it i had the exhaust brake on also, and it put out over 700 (almost 800 if i remember) degrees preturbo with ebrake and high idle. It warmed up quick. That is one cool thing about it is it alows both, where if i flip my high idler on normally it will disengage the ebrake.
  6. lots of sick and expensive parts on that thing. 500 is giving it away. unfortunately i have 2 in the garage just about like it so i have no need. Have you listed this on the traxxas site? I think it would go in a heartbeat. Would you consider selling the starter box and motor separate from truck? either way. bump for ya
  7. diesel hands down. sooner or later you are going to want to tow something. Plus its just a whole lot cooler, sounds better, and smells better and best of all its not a ford . Those chevys ride damn nice som my guess is the ride isnt all that much better in the ford.
  8. So you sold stolen goods and didnt refund the money? Regardless of who stole them, you sold em. Sorry, but you are on the hook for that in my book. Refund the money or GTFO the site for good and quit selling shit here.
  9. naw bro, if you are doing the stardust black flip flop, that color is sick, it changes from like black to gold to red to blue/purple depending on the angle the light hits it, it is sick the color above is basically a black base with blue pearl mixed in. It is cleared also, which i would recomend
  10. Are you going with the stardust black flip flop ? The one that changes color depending on how the light hits it. that color is badass. This is flash pearl metallic, a little more subtle, but looks nice in the sun too. Wacko, you might look into a white hammertone covered in a super durable clear for the a-arms. The little i have used them, the hammertones seem to be tough as nails
  11. guaranteed its SYNTHETIC no way a conventional filter will cause such issues
  12. Total fucking rookie move right there. You should have asked us before you installed one of those.
  13. I learned the hard way also way back, luckily it was only a 20 dollar part. Taillight described as perfect working order. Which wasnt a lie i guess, it did work. I guess he missed the fact that the whole fucking bottom of the lense was broken out. The pic in the sale was conviniently taken from an angle that did not show the bottom of the lense. But he is a feedback bully. anything less than positive posted by you and he will give negative (well used to back when they could) I hate sellers that wait to leave feedback until the buyer does, that is a bully tactic. Once I pay (usually same day,) i deserve pssitive feedback regardless of what goes on after that. I wouldnt buy shit from him again.
  14. Back to the top for a good seller
  15. Maybe you installed the wrong oil filter? I dont know just a guess What is compression? Perhaps it is an electrical problem? Any air leaks? My bet is on the oil filter still though
  16. Shit man that was 2 weeks ago, the damn prices are still on their way up And i agree for an all out power set up its hard to beat the 12 valve. they are fairly easy to tune and i agree the CR gets expensive, but in all reality, if you are going to go that high on the HP they all start to get expensive. Like i said i love em all Hlell even had an old 1st gen. You gotta love a cummins to drive a first gen. LOL
  17. that should be plenty cold to get it to go into 3 cyl dinner. I know it was right around 0F when mine did it. One thing is for sure, you will have no doubt when it does it. I though it sounded kind of cool.
  18. I dont know, 10 degrees should be cold enought to make it do it. Im pretty sure its never been cold enough in SanD to make it happen though Now that i think of it I have never had my 06 in the cold weather either. My 01 kicks into high idle below 30, and it has to be damn close to 0 to cut cylinders. I have only had it cut cylinders 1 time when i was in tahoe and it was snowing like a bitch all night. I was just up at eagle lake last month and it was 12 and it did not cut cylinders. With exhaust break and high idle on, it warms up fast which is really nice. Most of the time if it is that cold out, i plug in the block heater, so it never even high idles
  19. I have read both ways, that they do and they dont. What i find odd is that when the high idle is set manually in normal weather, they are smooth as silk, but when activated by cold weather they lope, or at least a lot do. I had believed that they were in fact cutting cylinders. I did read that the computer changes the injection events in response to cold, im not sure why that would make it lope though.
  20. you fucking cummins newbies. LOL. that is perfectly normal, the key being the temps. Below a certain temp it will auto high idle. When it gets really cold, it not only high idles, but it cuts out 3 cylinders to produce even more heat. (hence the lope) this is nothing new, you can even have the 2nd gen 24 valves flashed to do this. Auto high idle is somewhere just below freezing i believe, I think the temp for cylinder cut out is somewhere in the teens. Cant remember, its been too long since i had my truck in the really cold weather.
  21. Lube the hell out of the cable, it will make a HUGE difference. I ran a FAST clutch on my 421 with 6 HD springs and i lube it before each trip. try it, you will be amazed
  22. Bump for a good dude. Dave's stuff is clean. I have purchased from him in past and stuff was even nicer than described.
  23. I think they look killer man, i just need to find a talented painter in my area. I can lay down the base, but i need some airbrush work for a graphics idea i am kicking around
  24. if that is rear wheel HP at 5000 ft i think that is extremely impressive
  25. Several of the site sponsors can port for you and do a great job. FAST racing Herrjuggs, Wildcard racing, they are just among a few that are highly regarded around here. There are also several non sponsors who have a good following. LC performance K&T, Nate Mccoy, A&S to name a fewI have motors from fast and herr and both run great. I would start making calls and see who you like. Ask questions like price turn around etc. You stand to gain alot depending on the type of port you end up doing. A competent porter is going to ask you what type of riding you do, your weight, what type of fuel you wish to run etc. They do this to make sure they port it correctly for the way you want it to perform. If you call somebody who does not ask you those questions, i would hang up and make another call.
