Transfer case porting for Serval?
rubberneck replied to SuperMex's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I was told it was only worth about 2 hp on a cub when i built mine. Serval would be about same i imagine as its the same casting as the cub. I wouldnt sweat it -
Nice, twins are just fucking cool period. They will sound wicked out of the ole stacks
-
I was just thinking about that myself. I had a guy tell me that it wont work well on a 2 stroke, but i dont see why. Hell people have said that injection wont work well unless direct injected, and i think that has been proven false so who knows. Who is going to be the first to try

I know the microsquirt doesnt have a map sensor built in but you can run an external i believe. With that and the IAT, it will altitude and temperature correct. So basically perfect jetting all the time anywhere. I belive you will see an increase in fuel economy as well which will be nice on these pigs

Oh shit, im not sure, ive had them hanging in the shop for 2 years, id say probably 5 years ago or so. The one and only reason he got them is that they clear YPVS heads well and he has an RZ top in his banshee. I guess my point is their customer serviice has sucked for a long time. Dajo, my plan was to weld them up. I have a tig welder, just never found a use for the stage 4 pipes so they hang there. I would love to see a set of the snipers. I have inframe shearers and they fit like dog shit. I now have CPIs on my dune bike and they fit better but could use improvements for sure. I got them from cascade, and the chrome is fucking killer just like chrome should be. I hope the sniper guys find a chromer of that quality because it will showcase their product even better.

Can jets really make a major difference?
rubberneck replied to troyzstang's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
This was going to be my next question. If you didnt disconect everything the bike is basically cuttiing the ignition as soon as you touch the throttle. the pipes may not be ideal for your applicaton, but you should be able to make the bike run well, not like you are currently describing it. Sounds like you have a problem. Did you synch the carbs, have you performed a leak down test -

For the most part yes what you wrote is correct, however there is some bleed over so to speak. Large changes in main jet size will effect the needle for sure. Something very important that has not been asked is what kind of air filter are you running. I would say that a 290 would be about right if you have a foam filter in the box, but if you are running pods and cpis at sea level and 50 degree temps id put a 330-340 in it to start and work down if needed. My guess is stock pilots or 27.5s Go bigger than you think you will need, at worst you waste some time and about 6 bucks on some jets. Go to lean and you might melt it, and that sucks -
Wow thats funny cause i have a set of stage 4s in the garage right now that have about a 4 inch split in the seam on the left pipe. They were given to me by a buddy. He went round and round with them for months and they finally shipped the new ones out after lots of bitching. They never bothered to send out a call tag to ship the old ones back. My buddy called them after a few more months and said send a call tag or im tossing them in the trash cause he sure as shit wasnt going to pay to ship back pipes that trinity fucked up.

What are you going to use for a computer and software. Are you going to do fuel and timing or fuel only?
-
Seriously, Austin is great to deal with, and ships shit fast.

I wanna know how often everyone is on the HQ
rubberneck replied to crazycanuck's topic in General Banshee Discussion
All i know is that if i spent as much time working on the damn banshees as i do on here they might all actually run right now. -
Everyone of these turbo threads crack me up. Everybody posts up that they ARE GONNA do this and that and make sick turbo banshee. n2otoofast comes in and tries to offer suggestions and all people do is tell him that their set up will work and he is wrong. Watch the videos and pay attention his shit ACTUALLY runs. Maybe instead of arguing with him you guys could ask him constructive questions and actually make your turbo bikes run and live.

I know in the ATVdragracers thread it was mentioned that with the dome configuration they tried, that raising compression and timing simply resulted in more detonation. Have you guys been able to play with any race fuel set ups yet. I know they are still fairly new, i was just wondering if you have been able to gain even more in the middle. I have been running race fuel in my stock cylinder bikes for the last couple of years. Cheaper fuel sounds killer, but since im running it anyway in the other bikes i was thinking may as well set this one up for 110 also. Or have you found it to be detrimental as well. Im running CPI inframes and 34 lectrons on the bike. Im thinking this would make a good combo based on all the threads so far.

I run a modded shift star, shift pro roller detent arm but stock spring, modded shift shaft and this last time around i cut my trans. It is about as good as it gets i think without going to an override. I also run RZ shift forks, but i really dont believe they made that big of a difference if at all. Here is a link to my post showing what i cut http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=137478&st=0&p=1187177entry1187177

Do these front ends really perform all that much better than say some +2 or +3 a-arms. I mean besides the nifty spindles which im guessing are much stronger due to the orientation of the joints, they still have banshee geometry right?

Mccoy made 80 Hp on a 4mil serval with stock carbs stock reed and CPIs. Im thinking you dont need real huge carbs for this set up. I think 33s and CPIs should kick ass. I just cooked down my stock cylinder 4mil so im considering going to a serval. I have CPIs and 34 mm lectrons on the bike.

holy shit, i want some of whatever that guy is smoking. that is hillarious

YFZ 450 thumb throttles Chariot "New"
rubberneck replied to Chariot Performance's topic in Sponsor Spotlight
Good info, and it may not be designed to relieve thumb fatigue, but i can say that your standard long pull ones are much more thumb friendly on the long rides than the stock banshee units. I have them on all my banshees. Might snatch up one of these for my duner with smaller carbs just to try it. thanks -
YFZ 450 thumb throttles Chariot "New"
rubberneck replied to Chariot Performance's topic in Sponsor Spotlight
He already has that version. i have 2. Looks very similar but no switch etc, and i believe it will open carbs up to 41mm. Iknow it opens my 39pwks all the way. I think this one was meant for the poeple who want a switch in place i.e TORs on a banshee or the carbeurated 450s -
Get the billet intakes from White knuckle racing. They have the build in crossovers and never ever leak. great design i have them on all my bikes. FAST carries them

Looks like were going to glamis. According to the weather channel its supposed to be clear all week. Hope they are right
-
Ok so as of last night the road was impassable (sp?) Anybody been by there, can we get in. I was supposed to head out there tomorrow morning but its a 9 hour drive for me. I might just reroute to glamis. whats the word?

Love my edge's. I use haulers also but for general duning especially in heavier sand the edges kick ass Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk
