You mentioned they decked the cylinder. What is your squish like? Any chance you just got some bad fuel? -
Jetting Question.. Swaping out my T-5s to shearers
rubberneck replied to DuneBooZeR's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I went com t5s to shears on an hjr aggressive dune port and found the mains to be the same as well. Check your plugs no matter what you do that is the most important thing to remember -

hahhahhahahah i just wanted to say that again he is a stupid fuck. Bump for a good guy -
You can't buy reducer hardener etc plus have them match the color for near that price in a paint shop. If the match matters that much to you spend the 40 Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk

Those appear to be hand coned to me, see all the welds.

This is not true. Any of the override transmissions you buy have this mod done and there are tons of bikes with overrides running around. I would also ask you to consider how many drive dogs vs driven dogs there are on each gear set. Take a look at some stock gears and you will see what i am talking about. There are only 3 engagement points even on a completely stock trans. In each gear set, 1 gear has 3 dogs and its mating gear has 6. We are simply removing every other one from the gear with 6 dogs to increase the time the bike has between shifts ensuring that it goes all the way in to gear. If you have ridden a banshee much you surely have missed a shift while banging through the gears and this helps to lessen that. This is how i do mine.

go ahead and try that an let us know how it works.

On my 4mm aggressive dune port motor with cpis I was running 162 mains and 50 pilots with CEL needles in the middle. It ran very well but was rich. Probably should have been 48 pilots and 158 -160 mains, but i didnt keep the 34pjs on too long so never fine tuned them. Like said earlier, drop the pilot and then go from there

Bummer, you are too far away, i have the carbs and would be interested in the roll cart, but not interested in paying to ship it. Bump for you

where are you at?

What the fuck are you talking about, ive never ridden a dirt bike in sand in my life, and everything i said is exactly correct. I have every single tire that has been discussed in the thread and have used them in all different types of sand.

Check out the cascade website. You will see pics of their dukes of hazzard bike. Fucking clean Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk

Because in really soft sand they basically dig holes. The 8" wheels with the 22 inch haulers will hook way harder than the short ass 20s on 10inch wheels. The side walls are too stiff and they dont float on top of the sand like the taller softer tire will. For drag racing im betting the 22's will be way better for you. You may like the 20s for general duning however

I ran jeffs (FAST) clutch on a 421 cub in my dune bike with 6 HD springs and no lock up for a while and had zero problems with it. I put about 60 gallons of gas through it before i yanked the cub out and then ran it on a 4 mill dune port for 2 trips to the dunes. Just looked at it the other day and it still looks new. 6 HD springs really isnt that stiff if you have a new clutch cable and lube it every trip out. At high HP these things can be so finicky to shift anyway even with lots of mods to the trans and such, i would think a lockup would just make that worse.

No dont use your household oven as you will get fumes depending on the powder. Just keep your eyes open on craigslist and garage sales and shit. I got a range for free because the burners didnt work on top, but the oven works perfect. Look around you will get one for nothing or next to it and just stick it in the garage. If you are only looking to do really small parts even a toaster oven will work

Ebay member Minkia38 AKA Motor City ATV buyer beware

Right on tyler good job. Never could figure out why that fucking douche bag was a sponsor. He was just dragging down the standards. To the OP. dont feel bad brother, lots of us have been fucked over by him with his generic pics, and bullshit descriptions. Glad hes gone -
I had a 421 Cub in a dune bike with a + 2 inch arm it sucked wang It all really depends on what you call "duning" for some guys that means cruizing through the dunes to get to the hill and then drag race all day. A cub would be fine. I rode my cub for a week up in oregon, and it blew. Try getting out of an idiot hole with a lightswitch powerband and no room to work between trees. Basically you are either riding the shit out of the clutch or holding on for dear life as the front end comes up. I had to gear it way down just to make it somewhat rideable in those conditions. I bet a properly geared serval would have handed me my ass because it could pull the gear. Just be honest with yourself about what you want the bike to be able to do. Like was mentioned earlier if you do the serval and then decide to drag race only down the road, you are just a port job away from a full blown cub. Heck If you want to be competitive you are going to have to get your cub ported later anyway, so basically you would be even steven money wise.

Looking good man. Whats all that mysterious white shit on the ground. Im so glad i dont have to deal with snow
-
damnit, im getting the itch after seeing your pics. Ive been wanting to build some nice towing twins for my 24valve for years, i think im gonna keep my eyes peeled for a good deal on a 3b. So how does it run
-
Forgot to add good work. Did you put a support on that bottom charger? I have seen a couple of sets that simply hang off the exhaust and it is no good, lots of cracks. build a good bracket if you havent already. Keep us posted.
-
I have heard it debated wether or not 2 small chargers in parrallel will spool quicker than a single larger charger. The argument being that even though you have smaller wheels, the combined mass of the 2 wheels is still greater than a properly sized single. You see twins in parrallel on a lot of V8 cars simlply because plumbing is easier. Im not sure either way cause i have no experience in that area. Could be true, could be full of shit. My comment about lag had nothing to do with it being tripples. Take a look at those pics of that set up again. The 2 upper chargers are the primary and the big honker on the bottom is the secondary stage. My assumption is that he set them up like that for room issues. Exhaust comes out of cylinders to the bottom charger then up to the 2 twins, and cold air looks to go from the 2 chargers down to the big dog on the bottom on to the intake. It looks like he is using about a bht3b as the secondary. If matched well and he has the fuel to turn it, that set up is going to move a metric ass ton of air. Must be a puller, they are the only people crazy enough to do that shit. LOL
-
Wow talk about turbo lag
-
LOL I should have stated they will sound bitchin out of the stacks on somebody elses truck. I agree with you, to obnoxious while in the cab, but they do sound cool driving by. My buddy had 6" dual stacks and it only took a liittle while for me to realize they werent for me.
