  1. What pump are you using? Just curious
  2. If you can afford it, go 7 mill you won't regret it. The difference in price is the a cpl hundred dollars between crank n trenching. The feeling when you smoke a cub with stock cylinders is priceless
  3. The only musts are virgin porting , if they've been grounded on already the timings might not work with the stroke. Its really pick your poison, I've got stock cylinder 4 mills running 6.2 in the 1/8 in uncut stock chassis and 7mills going faster. The 7 was definitely easier to get the numbers out of but for what it is 4 mills run hard. The only thing you have to consider is the crank is a cpl Hundo more. I use forged wsm crank webs and put all my own parts on it. They've been really holding up well but just like anything else its attention to detail on assembly
  4. All around trail machines I think pro circuit are underrated and have some of the most forgiving throttle response, same as the DMC pipes.
  5. It's not unusual to see a playport with fmf want 370 mains and 32.5 pilots , toomey needles 2nd clip from blunt end . This is with my playport but I know a few other builders with similar jetting experiences with fmf pipes
  6. Use the extenders I would bet to say at least 50% or higher snap while removing them
  7. I have a sick nitrous express kit for sale with brackets and tank for auxiliary fuel pickup for fuel pump. Zilla why not we spray everything over here lol
  8. (516)852-4969
  9. Where in Long Island, I'm in Nassau county
  10. I love my snap-on tools but if your just starting out nothing wrong kit from sears/craftsmen. My first roll away box and tool set was from craftsman. Reasonably priced, at the time I opened a card and if my memory serves me correct it was zero percent for 12months. With that deal I was able to get everything imaginable that I needed
  11. A lot of people also don't realize to clean a bike out at stand still you have to stay off the power jet . You have to find the sweet spot rite before you start pulling through the pj or it's gonna throw raw fuel
  12. Last 421 I tuned burned perfect at .1225 dump n main. 52 pilot with the pilot circuit drilled to .030. EGN needle 2nd clip from blunt end. My buddy's 421 300' bike liked .120 dump /main for the shorter distance.
  13. Did you gap the plugs at .018 , if not you could be blowing the spark out even with that much spark lead
  14. What size dump/main and what style power jet is in it . Were they brand new domes n orings or did you reuse them from the gas set up
  15. I usually tell customers take it easy for a half tank or so, it's not so much the rings seating for me but just making sure there's no other issues that arise before ringing it's neck
  16. Out of curiosity what carbs are you running and what surface
  17. That's the easiest way I know but he's gotta do it , so tried a round about with known numbers
  18. Cylinder volume +trapped volume divided by trapped volume. I have two ways I do it that's why I was hoping blowit chimed in . Both ways put you in race gas territory, I gave you the highest to be safe
  19. I go by uccr for fuel choice and I ran some quick numbers on the calculator and your about 14:1 . Static compression varies with ex /transfer porting that's why you can't use it as a fuel indicator. When you raise your ex port your static compression will drop but your cylinders didn't shrink. So that being the case you see where I coming from. I hope blowit comments on this
  20. What's the compression on that thing? its a 68 bore correct? squish?
  21. I can ship you something if you can't find anything, I welded a 1/2 socket to a bolt and used an impact gun. Pre luv it n let in sit. As stated a chisel/punch would work just be careful
  22. I always adjust timing according to feel and mark on the plugs.do some reading on plugs and play with it , good thing about timing is it's pull look reinstall and try again till you get the sweet spot. Make sure your gapping your plug @ .018-.020
  23. I have little to no experience with av gas . The experience I had wasn't a good one either.you need to give us an idea on static compression . You also need to squish test that bitch. Report back
  24. I run alky with that set up on asphalt, I would use straight race fuel if your running any timing
  25. Claude, you might wanna try a cgl , it's the same diameter and taper but will give you more adjustment
