  1. I checked a couple different combinations in the forum search bar and couldn't find an up-to-date 4 mil w/ small carb threads, much less anything driveline related. To start, I'm planning an engine build pretty soon using the driveline 4 mil LP kit with SLP pipes. Current riding style is mostly open dirt pits, large trails, with some MX. My current setup is a heavily ported 392 with stock carbs and T5's. It's tuned fairly well but the heavy porting really kills the low end (not ideal for my riding style but it's the only running engine I have atm). At first I was planning a driveline 4 mil LP w/ SLP's and 35mm PWK's but I'm worried about the larger carb setup reducing the off idle responsiveness and being a handful in trails and Mx having 80+ hp (yea I know, too much HP, booooo). I figured with 28mm PWK's I could reach the 70's with and greatly improve the low-end over a 35mm carb setup but I wanted to get some feedback from guys who have actually tested similar setups. Besides that, any suggestions / changes I should make to my build given my riding style? I'm open to anything.
  2. Soooo, I’m building my first banshee engine. I’m gonna keep it pretty simple (lol) this is what I have-4 mil stroker crank -115 rods/795 weisco -mod quad head -advance timing plate -v-force reeds -pro circuit platinum pipes -trinity racing silencers what I am curious of..... - what is going to be the best stroker dome to run? -what would be best carb size? -roughly where might I set the timing plate? .....and any other (friendly) opinions are very welcome! Thanks so much for any input! I am roughly 700ft altitude. Shit I new I’d forget something important (haha) it is ported but I have 0 idea what kind of port job it is. It was ported for stock stroke. Is that going to cause me a mess because it was already ported for stock? (Read that on a page here somewhere) thanks
  3. Anyone running stock carbs with 421 lp cylinders? I am looking for a starting point on jetting at 1000' asl. Also wondering if anybody has run this setup with stock carbs. mods: pc pipes k&n pods +4 timing pro design cool head 23 cc domes v force 3's stock carbs 4 mil crank assassin lp cylinders (as cast)
  4. Hey, got this top end that needs to go. This can be used with a stock stroke cranks or you could put some spacer plates (I do have some that are for 65.00mm bore) and run a 4 mil crank. Will sell stuff separate. This is what I have for sale. -Stock stroke or 4 mil top end 65.00mm bore, ported but don't know which one or by who feels like a dune port, no scratches, still can see cross hatches, one stud is missing, low hours. -Pro Design Cool Head with 22cc domes, the domes do have some slight pitting but still can be used, some of the o rings are missing but a o ring kit from F.A.S.T is like 20 bucks I highly recommend getting one. -Wiseco 795 series piston for 65.00 mm bore very low hours they do come with rings and clips but no bearings. -65.00 mm bore 4 mil stroker plates very little use just got some stroker domes so don't need these any more. Give me a offer and we will go from there. Pictures are here http://s1279.photobucket.com/user/StrokedOutShee/library/?view=recent&page=1 I don't know how to upload them here. Its not letting me. If you have any questions or want any more pictures you can pm me or text or call me at 7789807080. Need this shot gone need money for my new banshee. -Arjan Thanks.
  5. Hey, guys just recently picked up another banshee from Craigslist (my 96 got stolen now I got a 98) and right when I got it I tore the top end apart and threw those piece of junk stroker plates (I don't know why everyone near me uses them) and got my cylinder bored and honed to 64.50mm also got some new wiesco 795 pistons and I did not port my cylinders so I just got my head cut from Mull. It does have stock carbs and there way out of tune bogging everywhere. It has 420 mains and 30 pilots. My question is what pilots and mains should I run? 150 above sea level and I'm going to be running it at 10 to 20 Celsius , Here are my mods. 4 mil long rod Stock. Cylinders 64.50mm bore no porting Stock carbs No air box just a k and n with outerwear Tors delete, twist throttle Stock head cut for 92 octane Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  6. Hey guys looking for the parts above, if the cylinders are ported I need to know by who, also dont want cylinders that are very close to their last bore. Stroker pistons need to be brand new or close to new. Domes need to be pump gas. If cylinders are ported looking for trail, play, dune port,mx port something in that area. not looking for anything like drag ports. Again, does not need to ported.
