  1. Could have developed an air leak. Pressure test before you tear your hair out
  2. Any other questions Pm me I'll give you my number
  3. Make sure blk/white is clear all the way back to cdi as some other safety switches can be tied into it. Permanently attach a ground to the red wire that used to go to key switch . It will run like this. Take plug off cdi check blk/White for continuity with any other wire it should be clear, then test the red and you should get continuity to the black that's it.. make sure pick up gaps are at .020
  4. Helical cut gears or straight cuts? I've seen many cranks destroy bearings from side loads, I would recommend good bearings that can handle side load and crank can def be pressed back n fixed but it needs to put on a jig and checked for runout on the centers
  5. When you cut it , try n get like .048 closest to wall 14* angle with 9-10mm band width. Now here's the issue, once you start shooting for optimal numbers like given above with stock head the chamber starts to become not optimal and might yield to high of static for your intended use. IMO I would have driveline mod your head to run domes and use his domes for your intended fuel , bang dome . I usually run a .018 metal style base gaskets
  6. Prob should have just called fast racing like I suggested, none of this nonsense would be necessary, you'd be opening a box Monday, if you can't get him let me know I'll get him
  7. Last I heard he wasn't doing it anymore, I wish he was
  8. Bad reeds can cause raw fuel blow by, stuck float, someone tapped an extra fuel line through the boost bottle holes for powa. Are the overflow circuits in your carbs functioning. What kind of bowls
  9. 785-364-5325 talk to Jeff or Cody, best bet is to call exactly at 10 central time, otherwise there grinding away and you will leave message
  10. Do yourself a favor call fast racing, one stop shop and done . He's got anything and everything you need plus knowledge of parts he sells
  11. I've seen plenty of cylinders that the decks were compromised in the oring groove area from the old factory head gaskets. A wise man once told me the stock head gaskets under certain conditions will walk around causing that issue. I've listed my concerns and what information you need to get me. Essentially you built a blow torch
  12. For pump get a 21cc dome from driveline with a 14* angle 9-10 mm wide band. Where was your jetting at? Those cylinders have port work so I'm just curious. As far as outboard goes I've been building and porting them for years and they are much more difficult than any shee engine once you get a handle on it. Do me a favor, measure from top of deck to top of ex port in mm if you can if not I'll convert it
  13. Rule #1 on break in , over octane if your unsure . So you had wrong fuel, wrong dome angle, possible air leak, possibly lean jetting
  14. Those are 513 series pistons and you put a 12* angle on the dome why? Squish band is hella wide and is a convergent angle which is no good. Out of curiosity what was your jetting set at?
  15. #1-no proper leak test was done before start and before tear down (now we r just guessing) #2- no squish test done #3- you have 100 over pistons, most domes are only clearance to 80 over Over the yrs of being worked on most bores end up being slightly off center, couple that size of bore , size of domes it's a possibility the piston was lifting the head by nicking the dome Just some thoughts, did you take a compression reading
  16. Always something stupid
  17. That compression doesn't concern you at all. I know you said that's what it had when you bought it and it's been running but that doesn't make it rite. If the rings are weak enough to give that low of a reading static once put under dynamic load they can experience blow by, flutter etc all things that make a two strokes run flunky
  18. Same cylinder, flywheel is keyed, not saying it's your issue but could be
  19. If you have access to a bore camera stick it in.
  20. I didn't read everything, what's the compression at?
  21. I've only had this happen twice in 16yrs of fucken with these things. Flywheel was bad somehow. No rattle that I remember but drove myself crazy the first time. Compression/fuel/spark
  22. Glws I'm selling on with 15 hrs on the high side, plus it's modded , ported, piped for 4500 neg and still have issues. I'll keep it for under 4 if you know what I mean
  23. That's an important number
