  3. I'm going with pilot is way to small if there keihin pj carbs I have seen them end up at 62 pilots more than a few times,seemed odd but it has happened to me more than 6 times,plus all the mx trail set ups that run them end up at 162-168 main and big pilots
  4. I have many motors out there with tz bearings and stock primary's,no problems and I know a few of them like wacko 2000 relentlessly beat the shit out there motors
  5. If they are aftermarket carbs try swapping carbs,,do a pressure test on motor could have an air leak or coolant getting into cylinder,I have built and tuned 100s of motors it's very rare but I had a flywheel issue that left me pulling my hair out with similar symptoms you describe
  6. If you do a proper chop there will only be a 2 mm brown ring at the base of the porcelain that you can barely see without chopping the threads off

Have you done a full 5th or 6th gear plug chop yet?needles taper and diameter are some of the biggest changes you can make to the state of tune of your motor, I would get a few different style needles and try it,no one will be able to give you a solid answer not knowing the effect the modified pipe,good luck

Closed up I know the guy pretty well, close to 11 people come to me now that used to go to him,if he was into the project your shit would run hard but most didn't keep his interest and ran like turds.my buddy Steve had a 421 on alky that ran some nice numbers that speed freaks built other than that I have heard nothing but horror stories
  9. I live in seafood Long Island ,pilot circuit is prob flogged jetting should be around 320 main or so with porting
  10. Carb bowls are on the wrong side switch em problem fixed
  11. Float bowls are on wrong carb
  12. Tilt carbs so tab just touches needle pin then you should have 16 mm from carb body to top of float
  13. Also same set up on race fuel , in my area dials in at 165 main, 48 pilot cel 4th clip
  14. Shit in the fuel tank , or lines ,maybe try pulling jets out of problem carb ,floats,everything in there get the Yamaha carb cleaning dip ,boil sum water mix solution and let it soak .it might be something tiny in the circuitry of carb.blow it out real good.pull out petcock clean screens
  15. Drop the needle and see if she clears up and plug chop it 320 is rich for no porting and t6s

  18. 240 main needle 4th from top screw 1 turn out to start might need a bigger pilot but with the lid on box hard to say

  20. What about the compression difference ,that's big 20 lbs difference no good.
  21. Stuck ring check compression pressure test it for shits and giggles
  22. You don't need those rubber pieces in aftermarket clutch,you need a pressure test first then a plug chop to make sure your main is good that's a symptom of lean jetting ,float heights screwed up,wrong needle selection
