hey just outts curiosity did you used to run 300ft down in pa,i ran a few times up there visiting my friends the mollners and i know a few guys came down from niagra falls
-
i would call gary he can adjust the pipes a lil for diffrent motor configuration, plus he is a real knowledgable guy on 2-stroke platforms

I dont know if any of you guys remember a couple of months back i had a customer that had the same thing happen, bought a kit from hjr and got a chinese crank .Hjr's site shows hot rod cranks so thats what he thought he was getting.I noticed a rod pin pertruding touching a bearing ,not much but still hitting. After two tanks the crank twisted over .005 .I called kevin and was informed he was not assembling them and he could give me info how to get it fixed. Not let me see it ,so im kinda glad someone else is having issues maybe people will rethink there game plan. How much R+d was done on these cranks or are all of you doing the R+D for him!

Joe I have seen this a few times where relatively new reeds start chewing up at the ends,I attest this to the shitty pump fuel we are getting around here because I have only seen this on pump motors

No problem ,you guys are the toughest grammar critics ever.lol

both bikes .040 over 4mil with domes cut 4 me by noss 4 pavement, both bikes have modified trapizoid ex port ans wsm race cut pistons

b4 he got the snipers he was running a set of my rockets ,i think i have a set of every pipe to try,so from rockets to snipers he picked up quite a bit .I did forget to mention that, the rockets come on nice but fall off on the big end compared to the shearers and i feel it picked up everywhere with the snipers

Tyler,im no english major for sure! The post was done after a double shift .Im a lil more awake rite now.IMO the sniper is the better pipe for my style of riding.Last night we swapped pipes from bike to bike on the same two test peices i tried the first evening. The advantage followed the snipers on every pull and the sound they have when they sync up in the power is wicked.im looking for a dyno in the area to do a side by side comparison on the same machine, but in my neck of the woods quadding is a dying sport.Im inpressed with the pipes and would buy another set without question.Like i said the first time fit an finish is just as important and these pipes are beutifull. I will not be going to the track tommorow i forgot it was mothers day and i just got the gulit trip .Oh well sorry dave an tyler for confusing you i just figured i would give some input on non cub motors with these pipes

no need i ported an built both machines to almost identical specs, same domes ,timing, tires, layout, carbs, rider weight, both machines run extremely hard but i saw improvements across the board,i should be going to the track sunday so ill see what she does weather permitting and wifee permitting she has a baby shower so im watching my son which means he goin too

I have been reading claims of horsepower increases over shearer pipes and too be honest i was a non beleiver. With a hefty price tag its not something you wanna just jump into.My good friend was looking upgrade his pipes and didnt mind spending the money on one condition,if he didnt like them over my shearers i would trade him head up.So i figured wtf i love a gamble anyways. My platform was a 196*ex126* trans staggered port with boost ports ,4mill ,14:1 on c-14 and 33mm carbs stock cylinder.First an foremost im a diehard shearer guy and have them on all my bikes, but wow im looking foward to getting a set.Im real big on fit n finish as well as performance and i havnt seen a nicer set of pipes .I didnt have to space anything trim anything or struggle at all,the expansion chamber follows the frame raill perfectly like a custom exhaust should, the stingers dont kill my filters and i love the shorty silencers.I opted for the nickle plating in/out and they were real pretty. Now for performance i was really impressed I raced a similar built motor with shearers that would normally beat me by two or three bike in the 1/8 but fell short by 2 bikes this time.I did have to go up two sizes on the mainafter the first race due to plug color. The bike pulled even harder. We went from a roll a few times,a dig a few times and i gave hime 2 an the leave. The snipers on that bike significantly improved overall feel and performance with only one loss when i gave three an the leave away and im pretty sure i could have pulled him down with more space. They really made a noticable diffrence where every bit counts.More races will come and ill post back this bike ran 12.54 in the 1/4 last year on shearers so we will see .

I got 113 passes outta my last clutch on my bike with a relatively stock inner an outer but my boys drag ported cub wasted a clutch in 10 passes on the same track
-
you guys would die if you saw how chopped my springs are,i use a snowmobile cltch spring guage to measure pressure from goodwin performance, and a gram scale to measure weight on arms,i have went as far as taking arms off machining weight off,The key is a baseline and records .Diffrent tracks diffrent outcomes.Im just really suprised it took this long for everyone to mess with this shit

you wont be able to feel it,the only time it comes into play is porting goals and engine set-up,if you have a desired squish your builder likes to use and he ported the cylinders with a certain gasket on the wheel stick to it
-
interesting ,make sure you have cub domes cut for a blaster piston
-
pressure test it,you could be chasing your tail, what jets are you running, are you ported?

you said it ,I def know it,but most people cant rap there heads around it,clutch is everything. You have to see the arguments i have with street bike guys/harley guys .I had one of my boys R1s bone stock with slip on beat a busa with a sick clutch tune
-
i have put together tons of motors and seen many diffrent port jobs and tuned many buliders cylinder set ups, ported cylinders myself.Jeff from fast and jim from passion have thee best hand work par none and run harder than most. The shit takes time and good things come to those who wait, ive talked to jim extensively on porting software and engine peramiters many times he is a very knowledgable guy .Jeff from fast is my go to guy on many projects and i still cant find a stock cylinder that can beat my lil 4mill Fast motor.

I'm on year 4 with a 1/4 mile motor it's on alky now psi has dropped 3 since I built it so I might do rings this year and pressure test is still tight as a clams ass,as long as it was built tight. You should have no worries
-
you can also press them tighter and weld them to reclearance everything
-
between 3.5 an 7.2kohms but i would be more concerned with those compression numbers so diffrent might wanna see shape of rings b4 shee goes boom
-
48 pilot ,cel needle fourth clip main should be real close, the dgh that comes in the 35s are in somecases too rich

its not your jetting coil problem or plug caps your not burning the fuel ,ohm out your coil and clean the frame and grounding pronges
