My experiences with pj carbs have been quite the opposite, multiple sets have ended up 162-168 mains and52pilots ,cel needles on most set ups I'm not a big fan of these carbs, very temperamental but run really nice on bottom to mid when dialed in ,I have had multiple choke plunger issues and idle problems but sudco has part if you need
Static compression, kicking compression can not be the ultimate deciding factor in fuel used,is the motor ported,do you have an air leak, did it just start doing this and ran fine before or have you never ran engine.dont bandade it find real problem
Ha ha bro chuck wagon is the reason I started porting motors,if he could do it I felt anyone can.i live in seaford if you need help let me know I'm guessing you should pressure test the motor before you go any further he was notorious for reusing seals and I have been building motors more than a little bit,pm me and ill send you my number
Wheelies are a way of life by me it's all I did before I got hooked on dragging our fun was see how many parkway exits we could make before putting her down,my favorite set up was stock port with clean up 190psi compression on c-12,+5 on the timing plate and good old fmf fatties, stock carbs tuned to the gnats ass
You will def notice a difference, I run 39s on a variety of machines and if your porting and supporting mods are up to par then you will be satisfied I have noticed gains all over
The gas thing is a good question, only splash if you need it and yes I have noticed slight differences in jetting .with a clean up start at 300 my clean ups without modifying port timing run best with that main depending on who did it needle 4th clip 27.5 pilot
My bike is stock cyl, alky 39s,Olof sharers ,making around 100 ,I surprise a lot of people with this thing, mustang guys ,street bike guys bigger cub motors you name it,Jeff from fast set up my carbs.
Jett's are close enough to not give you those problems swap coils, plug caps should ohm out at around 5.50kohm -7kohm,is it possible you have an air leak? Or burning coolant
I have ported a few kart motors that used that set up ,my friends father is big into the kart scene, they run single ring piston set ups and turbo the cranks to throw fuel pretty viscous little machines
You def don't want a turbo bike them,100 hp reliable isn't gonna happen unless you have a killer set up,either 4 mil cub or 10 mil cub will get you close but there is a lot of supporting factors that go along with both, what riding you plan on
.003 to.0035 is where I set them at haven't had one break yet in about 20 motors,IMO they rev better than Wiseco And ring tension is much better its not like installing a sloppy wiseco, the weight difference is big ,I'm a dealer for wsm ,I know someone who works there they have a ton of shit for cheap
The carb body where the idle screw goes is slanted I usually trim them up square so the jam nut sits nice and using a paper product to set gap is good for a mini bike with a Briggs an Stratton not a banshee use a feeler gauge.have fun CCP
Tors kit wasn't installed correctly, need to cut the carb body down a ill, make sure carb bowls are on the rite sides, check your pick up gap between the pickup coil an flywheel should be .018-.020
