  1. IMO it's cheaper just to mill the head down for your piped and ported bike. Post #2 sucks, not the thread.
  2. It's a banshee, it's still gonna pull hard on top end. Good luck with your choice.
  3. Go get your bike and do it yourself. Save a lot of money This bike will be very expensive IMO if you don't learn how to work on it.
  4. I disagree. T5's are a midrange pipe IMO. Same for t6 pipes. Cpi's are more mid-top. I've had all 3. And again I'd find a used set of whatever you want.
  5. Vitos lockup here. My only complaint is having to tip the bike over to mess with the clutch. But it was cheaper so I sent with it and glad i did. Btw I have the stealth version. Stealth is nice
  6. Split the cases and don't half ass it.one tiny piece of metal can blow her up again. While you have them apart, change all the seals. A clymer manual works awesome for case splitting.
  7. From the recommended pipes, find a used set to save you some money. Then when you are ready to sow d some money, do suspension. Trails suck on stock banshee suspension. You don't need any other parts for exhaust. Just the complete ehaus and two main jets. Hell, few a few sets and work your way leaner till you get it right. Thanks for serving our country !
  8. +1 for an override. It's all about consistency more so than shedding a tenth or to off your e/t. that first time you miss a shift, youll regret not having one.
  9. Sounds like an ideal set up for people who wait a broad power band like me. However, i dont want to be a guinea pig. But then again.....if the price is right i just might
  10. My favorite was do i have an aftermarket cam. And yeah, cant blame the builder when someone does crap like that.
  11. That was sarcasm about taking my advice. Sorry it wasn't obvious. My whole point about "telling you what he said" was that I doubt he said stock carbs were your problem. Maybe its my crappy typing and grammar on this phone. If it's my grammar I appologize. My only point in this thread is i think stock carbs will idle fine on your bike.

    Pipe?

CPI's come on a little later than t5's but CPI's rev higher and pull harder on top. Shearer's are basically an inframe drag pipe. They will hit later than CPI's but rev out more and pull harder on top. It's personal preference.
  13. Wait a second, do my eyes deceive me!? An aftermarket jugs that makes 90+hp on race fuel with the broad powerband like ported stockers? Link please. Time to talk to my builder
  14. Here's a picture of what to cut for the shift shaft mod. Forgot who i got the pic from on here. If you dont need 6th, id recommend a dunable override. It's addicting
  15. Sure tell Jeff that so he can laugh. He's a good guy. Very good to do business with. You said YOU couldnt get stock carbs to idle right. You said nothing about taking you builders advice which i said you should(so you did take my advice ). Again, stock carbs idle fine I really doubt Jeff from FAST said the reason you cant get your stock carbs to idle is because they are junk. He's all for making a sale but he wont lie like that. Now if he said it will make more power, that i believe and it's true. I didnt say he didnt know what he was talking about. My whole point was the problem with YOUR stock carbs not being able to idle was you. Ill keep going on about this. I believe i am right unless you can prove to me stock carbs cant idle on a engine likes yours. That's the ONLY point i tried to make in post number 10 which seemed to strike a nerve.
  16. Which is exactly why I have one. I hate the clutch pull of 6hd springs.
  17. Drag racing is a whole other Ball game. Perhaps try your current gearing with your new tires. You might like it. Or as recommended, 2 more teeth on the rear.
  18. I posted about 11 min worth of HD video a couple weeks ago in the videos section. It's un edited and just thrown together. If needed i can edit a certain clip out and upload it to my personal server so the quality is better than what photobucket provides.
  19. Yes really. Instead of jetting/adjusting your carbs, you bought bigger ones. The problem was you IMO. Judging by your mods in your sig, you dont NEED 33's. You bike would run fine. But it also runs fine with 33's im sure. Again, you stock carbs where fine. Not all of us can afford to spend money on bigger carbs so we will rebuild stock ones and get them working because it's a cheaper alternative. And when we spank big carbs bikes, it feels even better. People upgrade them for many reasons. Some are: they want more performance, to fallow the crowd, because someone said so, tired of taking the bowls off to change jets, found a good deal on bigger ones. I went with 30mm carbs to keep my low end power and i got a great deal on my carbs. So what you said about going with 30 or 33 may not be ideal for everyone set up. IMO a person should talk to their builder and see which carb will perform best for their riding style, set up and port job. muggzy, i run VF3 reeds on my bike. I love how crisp the throttle is. I personally hate the feel of stock reeds on a banshee.
  20. Pan cake bearings prevent welding the ball to the rod that disengauges the clutch. When that happens, sometimes you have to Split the cases.
  21. damn i never thought about head stuffs. I feel ashamed. That's a huge deal in the car performance world. Does ARP make head studs for stock or aftermarket juggs?
  22. Assuming timing is retarded enough and air/fuel ratio doesnt go lean, what is the next weak link? Piston strength, rod strength? Just curious because i have a 4mil stock cylinder bike on race fuel. I have a hotrods crank and i dont know what is the limits of my internals in terms of horsepower. I thought about spraying my bike as well just in 4th and 5th with a WOT switch and wet shot(5-10shot per cylinder). I would of done it already but kits are freakin $750+
  23. I deleted my key switch because it was pointless. While i was doing that i installed my pro design tether kill switch. Very simple as i just fallowed the instructions. I also took the on/off/light switch and shoved it behind the radiator to clean up the bars. http://s240.photobucket.com/albums/ff111/raguncajun/?action=view&current=banshee25-18-09.jpg
