  1. General rule for pump gas is usually +4.
  2. the 150. Besides the things mentioned, it's easier to park i bet since it's smaller. As for hotrods, id would say neither. Save that for when you got A LOT of money to burn. Took many many thousands to get my (SVT)f150 into the 11's. You do not want to put a programmer etc on a diesel unless you understand things WILL break once you start modding. hell i blew my old engine last year. New one was over $7k. Gotta pay to play.
  3. I personally hate the feel of a drag ported cylinder for playing around(cubs).
  4. The raptor would win. /thread.
  5. Come on guys, let's get some more entries!
  6. I have an undercover vito's slingshot with a duneable neutral down 1-5 override. I never need or want 6th when i have my pro wedges on. It would struggle to pull 6th if i had it anyways seeing how i run 15/41. I went do some test races on mine yesterday with my new tires. Either my clutch is slipping or it's jumping out of gear. But i have faith in my tranny so time for a FAST clutch! Plus i have a damn shift kit in mine. Very easy for the SOB to come outa gear. I needa change that.
  7. A good old saying is "Horsepower sells cars, torque wins races" How much TQ does the two bikes make, im curious about that one.
  8. I Asked who did my port work. Then I went from there with my carb selection. Wouldn't a general rule be when in doubt ask your engine porter?
  9. i would rather a fast 4 stroke because fast banshees are every where. Ima build a fast 4 stroke with at least 70hp.....one day. hp for hp the 4 stroke should win. TQ!!!! As for the asphalt comment, dont for get the sub 1.5x 60 foots That's gotta feel violent and sooo good!
  10. stock ftw! You dont want it going into gear when you hit a bump.
  11. I got some 30oko's. Same thing? I'ma odd ball. I think i have a 42 pilot in mine. Tried a 48-50 pilot like so many recommended and it was horrible off idle. I ended up buying 152-170 mains and many pilots to get my bike right. It really sucks when you find out you need a different jet and gotta wait a few days for it to come in since your local bike shop doesnt carry any
  12. My opinion is find some used stock bore juggs, get them ported to match your riding as well as a 4mil stroker set up. No spacer plate needed with 795 pistons with a longrod i think. That's what i did! As said, do it once, do it right. mine is too fun
  13. Props for using stock carbs^^ So many think you NEED bigger carbs^^.
  14. Wouldnt a lightened flywheel help it rev quicker in a longrod set up? I decided not to get mine lightened again. Didnt want to risk it coming apart again plus i think it would hurt my performance.
  15. Someone finally said it. A dyno is a tool. Used to tune. Either way i plan to get mine dynoed this year. Not concerned with the outcome because my bike is so much more fun to ride now.
  16. On sand it will but us folks who ride dirt/grass traction is our biggest problem. It's tough to play catch up all the time to the 450's.
  17. I agree because that's what i run. However, i think it would suck for a bike with less bottom end. I'm stroked and on race fuel. I didnt care for it much when i was just ported. If i road slower trails/terrain on just a piped bike, 13/41 would seem much better. Maybe get a 13t and 14t front sprocket. Front sprockets are easy to change.
  18. So stamp collecting is out of the question? I'm out of ideas then.
  19. bring it to a dyno....
  20. All quads break. If you dont want to learn to fix them or if you dont want to pay someone to fix them, you should not own one. Take up stamp collecting.
  21. That's only if he can afford the WHOLE set up. He can get a used stoke stroke crank for cheap. My 4mil new was very expensive. I will go with the rest and say only do it if you can afford it. But if money is tight, just rebuild as it was. If you looking for a little more power, get her ported and leave it as is. Stock stroke ported bikes are a great deal of fun. You can get the power band perfect for what you do.
  22. Loco, you never said if the above is ok. I sent you a pm a few days ago. Anyways, here's my 2nd entry:
  23. I really hope you get the SOB shifting good w/o an override
  24. I will disagree with what BSHEE400 about bigger carbs. My 4mil ran like a champ on stockers. I've been told time and time again that smaller carbs will net better low end. My vote is a port job(depends who your nuts swing from, mines flotek of course), vf3 reeds, milled head(if you dont want to buy a cooling head), a good driver and TRACTION. Anyways, read very close what Burt Reynolds said. You GOTTA put that power to the ground. Check this video outof my buddy riding my sheet. It's his first time racing it. My bike is pushing way more power than the others. However, for the difference in power is has, it sure isnt beating them by much. And if it didnt have an override, subtract about 3-4 lengths or more off each race. Yes it makes that much of a difference. Now if you look at the end of the video, a nice stretched yfz450 that is set up eats my bike alive again and again. Set for the win. Moral is dont port the bike etc and go out there thinking you will win. You might have the power but you might not have the skill or traction to do it. I've lost more than i won for sure on my banshee.
  25. I think my pro armour(spelling?) ones were less than $180. No heal guards though. IF i had to do it again, id pay double to have the ones with heal guards.
