  1. It is to me. Harder to turn, do donuts, wheelies, trails etc. Now if I road in sand all the time, a longer swing arm wouldn't bother me.
  2. well i use more balls than the directions call for. I figure better safe than sorry. LIttle more rotational mass never hurt anyone
  3. And i also i forgot to mention, i have to fight the front end coming up. But i refuse to stretch it. Once your bike hooks well and set set up for strait line fun, it wont be that great for playing around(donuts etc). It's a compromise.
  4. Depends on gearing and power. With my 15/41 I can't launch in 2nd unless I know it will spin. But a few practicing will let you know what you can or can not do. With my override I don't lose much time launching in 1st. I usually have to let off cuz the front flies up.
  5. Buy some pro wedge 2's. Only thing that works for me. Check my vids for proof.
  6. Look on eBay for asv rEfurbished levers. I got mine for around 35$ for both.
  7. Jeff how would this clutch hold on this setup. 4 mill on race gas with a slingshot and override. You think i could get away with running all 6 regular springs and not tear the clutch up? I run a stockish clutch right now with 3reg/3Hd and i wouldnt mind a lighter pull. I dont really wanna get a new EZ pull lever. I like my ASV.
  8. You can always drop a needle clip position. But maybe you main is too rich. Id personally try the needle clip one notch different both ways and if they doesnt help, i would try 1 size richer main. I prefer to go rich before lean. Someone might chime in and tell you a better method. Mines tedious.
  9. Your welcome. Now just experiment with different pressure and practice launching. Drag racing is mostly about set up. But if you keep it just for fun, it's a great way to pass the time. I hate the hardest time getting my knarlys to hook. then one day just by looking at a picture a fellow HQ member said i had way too much air in my tires. He was right
  10. power delivery imo is more important than power gain. I could see myself spending the cash on this if it's what i feel would make my bike more fun.
  11. I picked mine up on ebay for around 3$0-$40. That was before i started dealing with RJATV. Well worth very penny. It's use most things in the kit. Plus, it's nice to get rid of phillips screws for a bolt you can put a nice socket on. good thread
  12. Jeff, how much is the sale price on the clutch ? And I agree chris....kinda.
  13. 1/4 to 3/4 is mostly needle clip position. 3/4-wot is main jet.
  14. What other options are there besides retro fit And the link above does come with everything but not a battery. I always read you need a battery for HIDs. If that still holds true then that kit should mention you need a battery. If it does, then My mistake.
  15. Is this still being put on?
  16. I agree it helps but it's the pivot point that determines the overall ease IMO. What bends are ASV levers?
  17. Tried 3 sets of tires/rims. Same pressure etc. I know the subframe is bent. I got a spare frame but too lazy to swap everything.
  18. I hope that bad boy is gonna be stretched! It's gonna be a mosnter.
  19. That's the 2nd time i've heard of someone using a CR lever. MY buddy has one on his cub for years. Very easy to pull and works better than my ASV i believe.
  20. Going to a lower teeth front sprocket will hurt traction since it will be easier for the motor to turn the tires. I run 15/41 now but couldnt pull it worth a crap when i was bolt ons. Even when just ported i had problems. Hell, right now with my prowedges it does decent in 5th. I could go back to 14/41 but i like the "longer gears"
  21. When i was just bolt ons, i had to dump the clutch in 1st or 2nd, slam my butt down on the seat to get enough traction to pop it up while it was barely moving. 4 stokes are just easier due to the TQ they make and how/where they make it. I throw it back a little in this video(im in the Red banshee HQ shirt; thanks loco!): http://s240.photobucket.com/albums/ff111/raguncajun/?action=view&current=riding6-27-10part2.mp4#!oZZ11QQcurrentZZhttp%3A%2F%2Fs240.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fff111%2Fraguncajun%2F%3Faction%3Dview%26current%3Driding6-27-10part1.mp4%26 but as you can tell, i still need lots of work. I still have to figure out why my bike wants to pull right when doing a wheelie.
  22. The long swing arm hurts traction. Put a stock one on there before you buy tires. And for tires I like my cut knarlys. But they dont slide easy.
  23. If it's in 2nd or 3rd just rev and dump the clutch. At the same time pull up hard on the handle bars. I do mine in 4th so the engine isn't as peaky. Haven't tried a slow off the pipe wheelie in a while. Oh yeah, practice!!! And train yourself to cover that rear brake.
  24. Double post.
