  1. I run a stock motor with bolt ons and dynoport 2 into 1 pipe. I have a 185 main jet in it, so I think your considerably lean on the top.
  2. Yes, the stator on the bike is a/c, and the regulator helps keep it at an adequate level for halogen lights. So, you do need the regulator.
  3. I use a led unit from the trucker store, it has a supe low amp draw and they are real bright.
  4. sand or dirt? Drop the cool head to 20cc's. Can you afford to get rid of the airbox and run pods or take the lid off? Lighten the flywheel? The 450's are quick, I pull even with a 04' that has a cam mod, k&N, jet kit, and full pipe. I just got my bike ported though, so he dont stand a chance anymore. What tires you using?
  5. Mine was a DC mig weld .030" wire on a 110 volt machine.
  6. new head with 20cc domes, Lighten flywheel, get some carbon tech reeds, and advance the timing 4 degrees.
  7. banshee engine or rz350 engine will not fit any pipes in the atv without making modifications to the pipe.
  8. Dont be a dosey doder.
  9. Fix what you know first, then worry about it if there is something wrong still.
  10. there is probavly something you did without realizing it, the outer hub where the clutch springs bolt on is phased. If its not flat against the end clutch pack it will do what you described. You probably had it a notch off before, then removed it to take out the o-rings and put it back in the right spot. Did you put the steels in in the right direction?
  11. one of mine broke off, I had to drill it and retap the hole. I put in some stainless allens.
  12. Alot of times, Im not saying this is your case, people dont install stators correctly. First, the RS stator pickup has to have all the plastic stuff cleaned off the pickup sensor area. The RS setup has a lot more tolerance on the plate, thats why it just slides into place, unlike the stock that has to be pried out. Once its in, it has to be checked for proper pickup gap. You have to set it initially and then fire the bike up and run it and make sure the flywheel does not contact the pickup.
  13. If I am installing any sort of plain steel gasket I always use copper coat on it.
  14. I built a set for my best frien. He is 6' 5" and 260 lbs. He has had them on for 2 years and they have never even cracked.
  15. I do a weld on the bottom back side of the stock one. Then a weld on the end, and I add a butt plate to the end of the added on one.
  16. I feel the sand star turns better than the mohawk. I dont think the sand star turns any better than the single rib razorback though.
  17. Neighbor has a flashpaq in his 2005 5.7L hemi. Tow program works better than stock, just gets horrible gas mileage.
  18. carbon tech reeds. Beefier clutch springs. Carbs or 2 into 1 carb.
  19. make sure the lines are as vertical as possible, any place where they are horizontal will trap air.
  20. 160 on 92 oct. is ok.
  21. Soak it in whatever oil your gonna use in your trans.
  22. Well the number you get off the chassis dyno is a formulated crank hp number. Dynojet even had a press release a while ago to say the formula is not accurate.
  23. Well, rear wheel dynos are not accurate at all. They are only good for tuning and telling you if your bike makes more hp and torque than somebody elses on the same dyno. Only way to really check an engine for hp and torque accurately is on a crank dyno. Every rear wheel dyno can be different, and even daily weather conditions can change the readings also.
