  1. I used the o-rings on the intake. The carb is constantly pulling fuel and air since both cylinders are using it, so it does not really feed one at a time per say. I would try the jetting at 185-190 main, dej needle is leaner than a eek, but slightly richer than a dek. Try calling cascade innovations and see if they have a setup jetting spec for that 33mm carb. They sell a lot of 2 into 1 kits and do quite a bit of tuning 503-663-2887. Ask for Chris. Check the plugs, maybe swap them. Make sure your not forgetting anything when your swapping out the 2 into 1 intake.
  2. keihin jet sizes are different from mikuni. It sounds like that carb was one of two carbs off a banshee. I wonder if there was something wrong with it, thats why he sold it used? The orifice where the needle slides down in when the throttle is closed. What needle is in it right now?
  3. Make sure the needle orifice in the 33mm carb is ok. They dont have a brass sleeve, so when the slide needle wears it out, it will run really rich and has to be replaced. Use dry gaskets, maybe take the carb apart and clean it out real well. Its hard to say without inspecting the install, but nothing is really too hard when you put it on.
  4. Yes they do run good, mine runs awesome. You could have a intake leak, the reeds may not be sealing properly, etc..... Trinity pipes are not a real great midrange pipe. I would call cascade, but I am pretty sure they will tell you about what I recommended for jetting. Most of us run the 35mm pwk also. 185-190 main, dek needle, start in the middle, 50 pilot 1.5 turns out. I hope you sealed up the intake with new gaskets?
  5. 185-190 main, needle ought to be ok, pilot at 50, and air screw 1.5 turns out.
  6. Do you have access to a welder? If not how about at least a propane torch?
  7. What area are you located in? Where will you be riding or dragging at?
  8. Ricky claims his heavier magnet flywheels dont change spark intensity. However my motor guy says anytime you increase the size of a magnet, or its intensity if you will, in a a/c induced voltage setup it will increase spark intensity. I have one of the RS flywheels, I have not noticed a difference, but I guess it revolves around the laws of physics.
  9. You should be able to run a 20cc dome on 92 octane pump gas. If I remeber correctly it gets you about 169psi compression. PM me and I can tell you how to upgrade your stock pegs for about $40 with a welder. Or I guess you could send em to me and I could do it for some sort of price. The pegs would look like this.
  10. Most hp your setup may produce is about 70hp. Cub motor can easily hit in the 90hp range, so no.
  11. the world of google conversion tables!!! Click it!
  12. I got a set of stock springs, those are about the lightest ones you can get. Do you have an ez pull clutch perch?
  13. Dot 4 has a higher boiling point and its a silica based brake fluid. I would change it.
  14. How many of you guys are running super lights down in California?
  15. Did you put the RS stator on?
  16. Sharp edge faces out.
  17. Most of our sand up here is standard beach sand (no dust), its quite often wet, and our hills are at the most about 500ft long climbs.
  18. We run 8-10 paddles on the 400ex and the yfz450 with full pipes. You ever even try an 8 paddle on it? The bashee engine rpm will peak at about 1500-2000rpm more than the 450r also.
  19. Is the choke balance tube on? Slides in Backwards? Slides lined up and going all the way down?
  20. I am betting its the wiring, something not right, or one of the components you installed is faulty. If it ran before, it should run now.
  21. 8 paddles is almost not enough for a banshee. Like I said, I run a 10 paddle with just pipes and some bolt ons. Our ported 350's and 4 mill strokers run 11 and 12 paddles. We run 6 paddle taller haulers on the LT500 up here for playing on the trails and in the holes.
  22. Well according to the California duners, a stock type banshee with pipes should easily be able to handle an 8 paddle hauler. On stockers with pipes up here in Oregon we run 10 paddles on them with no issues. All the tires I buy are superlites though.
  23. My chrome started coming off my podos arm back around the carrier clamp bolts. They asked me to send it back and said they would send me a new one. I said screw it, I am having it powdercoated for a color change anyway.
  24. Antiseize is a diverse lubricant/protectant. It has a variety of uses and applications. I work for GM and we put the stuff on everything from turbo and exhaust manifold bolts and studs, to head bolts on assembly. This is the manufacturers claim on the stuff. Features and Benefits:
  25. bolts stretch and break when the threads stop spinning and you keep turning the head. Sounds like either a torque spec issue or no anti seize. Like I said, I got 3 kits, never had a problem.
