  1. Those things run like crap without the choke balance tube on.
  2. Banshee in yfz, motor should fit, exhaust would not so fun to fab up. Can't remeber how the rear engine mount in the 450 works though?
  3. I brought home my Matco gauge, its has the short steel threaded insert instead of having to use a hose. I gotta change my clutch tomorrow then I can run the bike and see what the matco gauge says compred to the mac unit and let you guys know.
  4. I use carbon tech reeds personally. Lots of my buddies run vf3's. Couldn't tell ya if they made a difference or not, everyone bolted them on when doing a bunch of other stuff, so you cant tell.
  5. I have always used Rick Stator's setups for replacement parts, never had an issue that I didn't cause myself.
  6. I would NEVER use RTV to seal a set of cases. That is not what it is designed for. I would use threebond 1104: Case Sealant Liquid Gasket TB1104 A synthetic rubber, that is a semi-drying, visco-elastic sealer which is resistant to oil, water, gasoline, and chemicals. Application areas include sealing transmission case covers, motorcycle cases, timing chain cases, side covers, 2-piece cylinders, clutch housing bolts and oil filter mounting Or permatex Anerobic flange sealer: Permatex
  7. All of us up here get our super lights from Cascade Innovations
  8. Patriot has a site, but both dan and dyno dave work for Boeing now and do port work on the side. I would recommend Dan at patriot Racing for a ripper dune bike though. Email him and he should get back to you within a few days. Patriot Racing
  9. yeah was it the side, cause if you talked to dan about the domes, he should have been able to help you out getting it right.
  10. Red stuff meaning gel seal or rtv? Cause gel seal is ok.
  11. Where do you want the hit ot be? Mid or mid-top?
  12. Dyno Dave of ILR Performance (bonney Lake), Dan Wade of Patriot Racing (Bonney Lake), or Mike Troung (old mechanic for Enumclaw SKY). What kind of port job do you want, I can tell you which one of these guys to call.
  13. ebay or craigslist. They are on there used all the time. We just picked one up off craigslist in Oregon with a carb for $200!
  14. I wish I had the money to be there longer than a week. I am actually going to Saint Anthonys on June 13th. Weekend of the 8th I gotta put my best friends 4mill back together.
  15. Well domes are not gonna get you close at all then. Only way your gonna beat them, is getting cubs and nitrous yourself. 50% of Drag Racing is the rider, not just the machine. If you miss a shift, dont have a good reaction on the launch or dont set your bike up right, you wont stand a chance.
  16. There is a reason why I own a mac tester for at home, and a matco tester for at work. Its because If I make a mistake at work, it can cost someone else money, me money, and make me look dumb. At home it can cost me money and make me look dumb, as well as ruin my weekend of riding.
  17. So let me ask you this: How much are you losing to the big dogs by?
  18. Has his gauge been tested, calibrated, and certified by snap on????? My mac gauge reads 6-7 psi less than a certified 15 year old snap-on gauge.
  19. Well, take a look at the vent back by the rear motor mount, is the hose kinked or pinched at all?
  20. Well a banshee engine isn't really prone to breaking. That year there is usually chassis issues that have to be dealt with.
  21. No they dont, and the craftsman ones are way off too. I would recommend trying to track down a mac, matco, snap-on, or cornwell tester. A good Compression gauge should and will cost at least $60.00!
  22. Usually its a crank seal leaking air into the trans, or the trans is overfilled, or the trans is taking on water and displacing the mix out the vents.
  23. Lets call John Force's pit crew chief and see if his crew can do it in that time.
  24. use the red gel seal or threebond or you will be sorry.
