  1. Congrats on your new purchase. THis is how I mounted my fmf silencers: Take the aluminum spacer, it should be tapered. Place the bigger end twards the frame. Slide the first rubber bushing onto the smaller taper of the spacer. Put the silencer on. Put the second bushing on and then the big flat washer. Put the bolt in thru all that and tighten. That's how i mounted mine. Make sense?
  2. I dont think so, if you can budge the nuts. Try it. But your best bet, just my opinion would be to replace the bearings in there. I think they run about 30 bucks with seals. Just get ya some kind of 50mm wrench and a BFH and change em out before they break up on you when your out riding.
  3. I didnt know there was much to replacing tie rod ends. Unscrew them from each end of your rod. Should be a flat area in the rod to hold it with a wrench while you unscrew the rod ends. This is one instance where you can actually "unscrew" something.
  4. Yea, i got some of those hangers too. Good stuff.
  5. Hells yeah. Did you guys have a good time or what?
  6. Glad to hear no one was killed in that accident. And hey rippen, didnt you just get your bike put back together from Jeff over there at fast? I would be cryin like a lil' girl with a skinned up knee if my bike had gotten trashed right after I put it back together. Hope you guys' bikes are ok too. Speaking of your bike, how does it run and what all did Jeff do to it?
  7. Go Here Look at the list of parts that are supposidly on this bike. 58mm carbs, sho is some big assed carbs. And custom CPI's, hmmm look just like mine and every other set that i have seen. Dont know if its somebody here but it looks crazy to me.
  8. I'd lose the lid to the air box, 330 or 320 mains, needle in stock position. Might wanna try some 27.5 pilots too with your air screws out somewheres round 1.5 to 2 turns. Make sure your intakes are sealed well also when changing to the Vforce reed cages. When going from 32:1 to a 40:1 fuel mixture you are actually making it richer, BTW. Less oil and more gas. Outta run good with either one of those ratios.
  9. 250's sound too small of a main jet for you. You may need something in the 280 to 300 range. It also sounds like you need some bigger pilots. Get some 27.5's and put those in there. You also may have an air leak somewheres causing it to rev up by itself. Check the springs in the carbs and make sure they arent in a bind, since you have changed the needle position. What do your spark plugs look like? Also make sure ur carbs are in sync by looking at the slides, making sure that they go up and down at the same time.

Hey Stan, do you have some more swingers made up? If not what's your turn around time on them? Like a +4 with skid plate mounts on it. chrome or silver vein. Are they harder to make then the pipe hangers? jk David
  11. Yes, you should notice a difference. I know I did when I put the individual filters on my bike.
  12. Ya'll make sure you get plenty of pics for the folks, like me, that are stuck at the office. And let us know how bad we missed out.
  13. Central Mississippi, 30 miles north of Jackson.
  14. I wouldn't be so sure about that statement. My CPIs must have slipped past quality control. Those look like some homebrew pipes to me.
  15. Well....for one thing, your main jets are too small. And you may need to run a higher octane fuel with those domes. I'd ask whomever did your porting for jet sizes.
  16. Any of you guys heard of Avenged Sevenfold? They are pretty good.
  17. The Cpi's are way louder than my fattys were. Sounds good sittin there at idle and still has that ping ping pa pa ping sound up front. They sound damn good at full throttle too.
  18. I just checked mine and they do not fit. The stingers looked like they were too long, making the tabs not line up with the holes in the frame. You could probably rig something up though.
  19. Man, you dont have time for that. You have a lot of pipe hangers and other stuff to complete first. lol
  20. You dont have to pull them completely off to re-jet them. just pull em out of the intake boots and turn them upside down.
  21. Start off with your needles in the stock position. You may need to change the position later on to fine tune your bike after you get your mains and pilot circuits situated. Just read that Jetting Faq I posted above and It will steer you in the right direction in changing your needle positons and everything else. It was put together by a member here. Benbb I wouldnt recommend the K&N pod filters if you ride in a lot of water. I would keep the air box, but remove the lid after you install your flange adapter kit. Dont sweat it man, jetting is not hard to do, just tedious.
  22. Here. I know its a lot to read, but you didnt seem to have clicked on that link that I provided you.
  23. I've ordered some misc. stuff from bike bandit. Kind of pricy though, but good OEM stuff, if that is what you are looking for.
  24. Turn your air screws in to richen your carbs. Whatever adjustment you make to one carb make sure you do to both carbs. Make your adjustments with the bike running and allow about 10 or 15 seconds for the engine to respond to the new settings.I'd say if you get to turning your screws in to half a turn from closed, then you need to get the next size pilots and start the process over. WHen you turn your air screws in, do not fully tighten them as you will ruin the screws. Also read this.......JETTING FAQ
