Congrats on ur purchase. Get in there and check those reeds man, and tell us what you found. If you've got spark and fuel, the only thing left is compression. Might wanna check that out. Spark plugs and the choke cross over tube between your carbs.

Yes, I agree. I have lonestar, chrome a-arms that I bought second hand from a member here, and they are good a-arms. New ones are a bit pricy though.

You said your dealership put the pipes on and jetted it for you? You may need to go back and check that out. And make sure the choke crossover tube, between the carbs, is in place.

You should be able to use whatever aftermarket shock that you want. When you order them, you just need to tell them your application, like your weight, riding style and that you have extended a-arms. This is so your shocks will be set up correctly for you.

I'd have to say it would be close between the YFZ and the new LTR450. I went and looked at the new Suzuki this weekend and it does look pretty good. That damn thing sure is wide though. I sat on it too. It didnt feel as comfortable as the shee IMHO. To top it off I had this salesman tellin me, "man, we can't keep these things in stock. Everytime we get 'em in, people buy 'em straight off the trailer." They had two sitting in their showroom. A yellow and a white one. I like the centered exhaust, but I think the bike looks fugly when you look at it head on. Ride blue, YFZ all the way.

Yeah, my Clymer's manual says its 50mm I got one of those axle nut wrenches that motion pro makes and a BFH and made quick work of taking the nuts off and putting them back on.

If I'm not mistaken, they are 50mm.
