  1. Sometimes I carry a pistol when I am riding around on MY land. It's usually in the summer time and when I am riding on my good ol' warrior, slow I might add. Alot of times, where I'm riding we'll see a rattlesnake or something of that nature and when you're on a warrior going slow sometimes you need to take care of what dangers there may be in the trail. Most of the time that can be prevented though, without having to carry a pistol or whatnot. Otherwise, the firearms stay at home.
  2. I just gotta say to WESW....god damn, at your sig. Now back to the topic at hand. I think your frame would look way better with the powdercoat. My brother and I got one of those bed liner kits, I know its not the same as the line-x but the results look similar. We did his Rancher with that stuff. All the racks and whatnot and it looked ugly as hell to me. On the other hand, it might be cool to do something new. You might get some prices of both ways and that may help you decide which way to go too.
  3. Do you still have the TORS units still on your carbs? Unplug the wires on em, if they are there and see what that does.
  4. I dont know if the 2:1 filter will fit the flange. You'll know when the filter needs to be replaced, just like you said, when the foam starts to break down and fall apart. Replace it ASAFHP. Everyone starts out as a NOOB.
  5. Really? If anyone wants a set of stockers, let me know. I have a set for free. That's right, for FREE! Edit: Sorry didnt mean to jack the thread.
  6. Sorry if I sounded like an asshole for sayin use the search but, sometimes it helps. I'm runnin 340 main jets, clip on middle position, 27.5 pilot jets and I think my air screws are about 1.5 turns out. Where you are, temperature and elevation are also key factors. Its bout 50 degrees here and I'm at an elevation of bout 400' and I'm no wheres near Glamis. This may help you out. Also go here...JETTING FAQ That should also help you.
  7. Try some 320 main jets, middle clip on your needles and try your airscrews out 1.5 turns. If ya dont like the sounds of that, you could always try the search feature.
  8. Have you fixed this? Have you replaced your choke crossover tube yet?
  9. The pro flow intake system we are talking about is a modification that you perform to your stock air filter box. It's an aluminum flange plate adapter that allows you to use a clamp on air filter in your stock air filter box. Thus allowing you to remove the lid for better air flow. The adapter with air filter usually runs about 100 bucks just about anywhere you look, brand new. I've seen them on ebay, used, for like 50 bucks and up. Also I've seen people selling their air boxs with the pro flow flange modification for 50 bucks and up. I'm guessing that you dont have an air filter box at all? I think i saw a complete air filter box with the flange adapter somewhere's on ebay. This may be what you are looking for.
  10. Is it really, all good?
  11. Glad to hear she's comming out of it.
  12. Put the box on and run it without the lid. That is of course if you have the adapter flange with clamp on air filter assembly. And re-jet for those mods.
  13. I second that. If you using autocad, that shit is easy. 2d or 3d. It helps too, when you do that shit for a living.
  14. What does the 90$ kinky kit do for the banshee? It's not anything like, headlight covers shaped like boobs?
  15. You can order jets from dennis kirk or magic racing. I thing magic only has them up to 320 and dennis kirk has them up to 400? Its cheaper buying them than getting one of those expensive dynojet kits. Some people here swear by the dynojet kit though.
  16. START OUT WITH SOME 300 MAIN JETS. ALSO DO SOME SEARCHS AROUND. ESPECIALLY IN THE JETTING AND EXHAUST FORUM. AND WHEN YOUR DONE DOING THAT AND YOU WANT TO POST AGAIN TAKE YOUR CAPS LOCK OFF.
  17. The question that I have never gotten answered is...... "What the fuck?"
  18. I think how you're gonna ride your shee depends on what kinda pipe would be best. A lot of folks here will tell ya the T-5's are a kick ass pipe for just bout all around riding. I have the fmf fatties and they are a pretty good pipe, way better than stock anyway. There's a good selection of pipes from which to choose that you didnt list too. Oh, and banshees do not suck.
  19. Can you tell exactically where the fuel is leaking from when you let it sit with the petcock on the on position? Do you have the (2) drain hoses on, that hook to the bottom of the carb bowls? Are the carb drain screws closed? Could be ur floats are stuck and need adjusted. Did you have both bowls off when you re-jetted the carbs? If so you may have mis-matched them. I believe each carb has its specific bowl do to the choke mechanism so swappin' them will mess up your choke. That may have something to do with why it's so hard to start. Is the choke tube still connected between the carbs? May also be lean pilots. Where are your air screws, how many turns in are they?
  20. Yeah. That's a stupid ass lookin' car.
  21. Yeah, happy birthday.
  22. Clicky here Go there. Dennis Kirk has em up past 320 and they are 6 bucks a pair.
  23. I have fmf fatties, k&n, no air box lid and v-force3 reed cages. Im runnin 340 mains, 27.5 pilots, middle (stock) position on the needles and my air screws are 2 turns out. Sounds llike you need bigger main jets. I'd change one jetting circuit at a time. Go bigger on your mains then go from there.
  24. If you're blowin' fuses left and right, check the wires around the top of the steering stem. I was havin that problem and there's a little bracket in there that frayed some of the wires and was letting them touch the frame. It would make contact with the frame and blow fuses. I dont know just a thought. You may have the same problem. Also, check your battery connections. If your starter was bad, I dont think it would turn over at all.
