  8. If you have a K&N filter clamp on flange adapter set up, and you should if you dont have filters that clamp directly to your carbs, with no lid on the air box. I'd suggest bout some 320 mains, clip in middle position, stock pilots and adjust your air screws, bout 1 to 1.5 turns out. This should be a good starting point, provided you have STOCK PORTING and STOCK CARBURETORS. Also pending your temperature outside and elevation.
  9. Pig rectums for spark arrestors work well in conjunction with this application. Pigs must be live and you must remove your taillight for correct installation.

I ran some 320's in my bike, stock cylinders and stock porting with K&N, no lid, fatties and V-force reed cages. I'm running 340's right now because of the colder weather. Just read that FAQ. It's awesome information on jetting.
  11. I'd say probably try somewheres around 240 to 260 main jets, adjust your air screws and check your plugs. I ran 240's in mine when I had the lid on and stock exhaust. You should probably have something like 200's in there now. I wouldnt run it much, if at all, espically WOT before putting in some bigger main jets.
  12. Well, with no lid on your air box with a K&N, I would guess that you would be lean on the main jet. At least that's how is was with my bike. As for it smoking, you mix a little more oil to your gas than I do. I mix mine at 32:1. More oil is gonna make more smoke. I'm guess something like a 320 on your main jet. Thats what I had in mine, with the exception of fatty pipes. What is your bike doing and what do your plugs look like?
  13. Do you rejet your carbs for it? What other mods do you have in addition to the air filter? What's the temp where you are and what elevation are you @? You will deffinately need to go up a couple of sizes on the main jet if you havent already. You may get more replys to this in the jetting forum.
  14. If you have a Clymers manual, and you should , look at the end of chapter 5. There's a break in procedure there. It basically says to do a couple of heat cycles all the while avoiding full throttle.
  15. What kind of port job did you get? You may need to call up whomever did your port job for suggestions on jetting. He ought to be able to help you out. If I'm not mistaken the CPI's will move a lot more air than the fatties so you may be lean. How is the fittment on your CPI's, BTW.

  18. Yea, you can use the search feature. You only mentioned Pro Circuit and Toomey. There are a lot more manufacturers that you didnt mention. There are a shitload of pipe makers. I think they are all better than the stockers tho. You might look at some fmf fatties. They are a good pipe also. You might could pick up a used set pretty cheap and then move from there.

  20. You would bottom out the front end of your shee with the stockers and wider a-arms. And you may hurt yourself in the process. I think you would be better off getting some aftermarket shocks that are set up for your weight and a-arms.
