  1. Thanks! Never ever considered that. Thanks again. Are you riding a thumb or a twist?
  2. OK. I rode in my first AMA race over the weekend. I got my ass kicked :baseball_w00t: The track we were riding was top level and about 1.5 miles long, 110 Ft table top and a brutal step-up step-down section. By the 3rd out of 4 laps, my thumb and right forearm hurst so bad, I could barely push the throttle in. I am wondering if my throttle is stiff? It feels normal to me, but I have been riding my quad for the last six months, so maybe I am just adapted to it. I am thinking of switching to a twist. I also have a CR125R, so I know about the twist throttles and all the things (Good and Bad) that go along with them. I would like to hear from the racers out there. It is a whole new level when the gate drops vs. riding on your buddy's track or in the woods. Is it me or the thumb throttle? :shoothead:
  3. Hey everyone. I use the search, but didn't find what I need. Running 260 mains, stock pilots, 3 clip. FMF Gnarly/Powercore 2s. I put the exhaust on and jetted it as stated. The quad ran great. I rode it 5 times totally approx 10-12 hours. In the middle of the last ride, it started popping. Now it pops, it jerks when riding it, and runs like crap. Hard to start. I changed the plugs. No help. Did a plug chop today, looked like a slate gray color. I understand that it is running lean, but any idea what is causing it? No real change in atmospheric conditions since I jetted it. Choke tube is in place. Any help trouble shooting this would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Thanks for all the help. I rode my quad for the first time on Saturday. WOW. Unreal. I now understand! Enough Said. Banshee owner and lover for life. Thanks again for all the help!!!!
  5. Thanks for all the help. This is my first Banshee!!!! I am stoked!!! This place is an amazing resource. Thanks to everyone for contibuting. Maybe in a couple of years I might even have a piece on knowledge to share. LOL
  6. Will the tape work for one day of riding? Obviously I would have to drain the coolant if not and turn the hose around. Thanks
  7. I just put a set of FMF Gnarly pipes on my banshee. The right side pipe actually touches one of the coolant hose. I put high heat reflective tape over the hose and then reinstalled the pipe. Anyone else have this problem? Will the tape work?
  8. Wicked, That is how I ended up putting it together. I do have one question/concern. I used the stock coupler between the head pipe and the silencer pipe, but I tightened it all the way down. It seems pretty snug, but I am not sure. Is this an issue? Are there other couplers to use? Maybe FMF specifically. Just wondering.
  9. Its 2 am and i just finished the install. Thanks for all the help everyone. Left side was easy, but the right side i had trouble where the pipe and silencer pipe meet. Got i done though Thanks again for all the help.
  10. Thanks Hilarious. I am very excited about the purchase of the banshee. I can't wait to get out on it and tear it up. I will try to put it together that way. We'll see how I do. Thanks again!!
  11. Thanks Trex. My only question is what holds the second gromet on? The spacer doesn't allow for it to be "Pinched" into place like the one on the outside. I am new at this so please bear with me, I may not be getting it. But man, I am excited about this Banshee
  12. I am having trouble where the silencers bolt to the frame at the rear of the bike. The place closest to the rear of the bike is where the spacer goes, but the instructions don't tell you how sequence the parts.
  13. New to the forum. First time banshee owner. 1998 I am installing a set of FMF gnarly pipes and powercore 2 silencers. The silencers have very vauge instructions. I don' know where to put the thick rubber gaskets and how to arrange the spacer properly. Any help would be great. Maybe a pic from someone who has these on their quad. I used the search function, but came up empty handed. Thanks for the help. I have learned a ton on info, just surfing the forum.
  14. Thanks for the info. KB7 ? I don't know what that means. I will be running with the lid on, but snorkle removed. So 260 are to lean? Should I start around 270 or higher? Thanks
