  1. Nice collection of axes you have there. Seymore Duncan pickups kick ass. Most of my collection is acoustic stuff with the exception of a cheap ass mexican strat with a kirk hammet emg pickguard set up on it. What kind of amps and effects are you runnin with all that?
  2. Sounds like bullcrap to me. Get some prestone 50/50 and mix in some water wetter. Works good in my banshee. Or go to the grocery store and get a gallon of demineralized, drinking water. Correct me if Im wrong, but doesnt water transfer heat better than ethylene glycol (antifreeze)?
  3. i had found a website that sells all kinds of air horns, including train horns. I dont remember it but I left it as soon as I saw a price of somewheres around 300 bucks for the train horn. Gotta have a nice sized air tank and compressor to go with it. I'll try finding it again. Grover Air Horns < click that Yeah, there it is. Imagine pullin up behind a freakin school bus or somthin and scarin the hell outta them. lol
  4. I'd say its a cheap ass carbon copy of a honda 50cc. Id ordered an intake for a cr50 dirtbike. It woulld bolt directly to the engine but the other end, where the carb attached was different.
  5. I got my nephew the same kind of P.O.S. bike for christmas. He has broken the intake twice. Never could find a replacement so we welded the origional. This last time we fabricated one out of stainless pipe. Welded the frame up too to make it ridgid so it wouldnt happen again. It has also had 2 mufflers on it that break at the mounting tab. Shitty assed design. But that son of a gun runs its little butt off with the little bugger on it.
  6. Does it run better since you made those mods? When you removed the air box, you are getting more air flow to the carbs. More air requires more fuel. Bigger carburetor jets allow more fuel to be mixed with the air. More fuel and air being burned in the combustion chamber causes more exhaust. Am I right? And arent banshees supposed to smoke just a little?
  7. Just curious, but why are you switching silencers? Free bump.
  8. Yes, I had them. Still do, in a box in the attic in the garage where they are to stay. Unless somebody here wants to buy them. I changed to CPIs mainly for the motor mods that I hope to get done. I dont know if this is just a freak occurance to just me or what tho, but the CPIs gave me a noticable gain EVERYWHERE in the powerband compared to my fattys. And this being on a stock bike with stock porting, carbs, with the exception of K&N pod filters and V-force 3 reed cages. I know the CPIs are a drag pipe and everyone says that they just give power gains in the midrange and top end, but I got more low end with them too. The Fattys bolted up and fit well and the finish on them is crap. Now on the other hand, the CPIs didnt fit worth a darn. I had to shim them a little bit and the silencers dont line up with the subframe. Chrome on the CPIs is a little better than the fattys. The CPIs are a lot louder than the fattys also. In my case, the CPIs perform more better than the FMF fattys. Duh. lol Reason I typed "fuck FMF" was because I had tried to get in touch with them several times looking for a pipe for my nephew's mini 50cc. Instead of helping me out, they sent me a god damn catalogue with hats, tee shirts, wristbands, you know the shit that they sell to help them advertise for free. Moral of this story: FMF 0, CPI 1
  9. Fuck FMF. Best way I can put it. Pardon my english.
  10. I believe you answered your own question about the impeller. You can go to bikebandit.com and they have schematics on just about everything so you can see what you need to replace. As for boring, I believe you dont want to bore out any more than you have to. If your cylinders arent worn too bad you could probably get by with just a hone. I'd get whomever is going to bore your jugs out to check the tolerances on em to see if they even need to be bored.
  11. You had fattys didnt you? I put some CPIs on and had fattys and my bike has more low end, midrange and top end. It makes a helluva lot more noise too.
  12. Get a port job, 4mill stroker crank and bigger carbs.
  13. Ellison, are you runnin' your Razr2's 9" or 10" wheels?
  14. I put a zip tie on mines and pulled it away from the pipe, along with the parking brake cable, provided you have it. Chances its gonna rub the pipe too.
  15. Have you tried some new springs? Just a suggestion. I did not have this problem when I had my fattys. Like you said, may also be a manufacturing defect. Check all your pipe hangers and make sure they are in good condition and tight.
  16. I can attest to the fact that the engine breathes better with the pod filters. I would not run them if you run in wet conditions. They also make it way quicker and easier to jet your carbs too.
  17. We all start off as newbies. If I remember correctly, he drove out of that ditch/ hole with some bad ass looking blue fullbore plastics and some new shiny rims and a new frame. THe moral to this story could be that shootin your bike into a ditch isnt always a bad thing.
  18. What I cant get over is how clean your desk is compared to mine. I've got all kinds of shiit cluttered everywhere at the office and at home.
  19. Get a port job and all the fixin's to go with it. Then later on down the road, "WHEN" you want more, go get yourself the monoblock setup.
  20. If you are going to be running the air box, you really should think about leaving lid off instead off instead of cutting holes in it and installing those vents. It will breathe a lot better and you can still put your lid back on when you wash your bike. Your K&N will hold up to the dusty condition, make sure you are running an outerwear with it. I've had a couple of foam filters disenegrate on me over the years, from age and my K&N's have lasted a long time.
  21. 2 g's prolly isnt too bad a price, depending on what shape the bike is in. You probablly gonna be putting a new top end in it and making other modifications to it along the way. So keep that in mind too. I think the banshee has stayed pretty much the same since about 91'. with the only changes being colors and tailight. But I have noticed much later models going for same price. I'd say if the bike looks good to you, get it. Banshees are hella fun. And this is the place to get info on them.
  22. I have a 21" viewsonic lcd monitor, I think V201b model. Its a damn good monitor too. Easy on the eyes and It doesnt have any ghosting effect. Works really well with my autocad and games and stuff. Kinda pricy though. I think I paid somewheres around 600 for it. I'd go with a flat panel. You save tons of room on your desk and it doesnt generate the heat like the CRT.
  23. Yea, I mounted mine like Banshee~ had his, from looking at those pics. As far as the coupler is concerned, I bought some of those made by TM designworks from rockymountainatv. They are basically collars with different sized o-rings inside of them. They were kind of pricy but they look really good and they never leaked.
  24. Does anyone in here watch Space Ghost? Is it me or does, looking head on at the 700 Kawi look like a cross between Zoltar and Brak from Space Ghost?
