  1. i got one on mine.i did not notice any difference.they look cool though.thats worth 10 horse right there!
  2. yellow green and black are the wire colors you need to find.yellow and green are the positive for high and low beams. black is the ground for the lights
  3. i only had that problem one time.i over filled the tranny.maybe your oil is too thick or thin.10w30 is all you need.another thing that i can think of,is if you are runnin the right oil and level, the right side crank seal may be starting to go bad.this could allow crank pressure to build up in the trans and push the oil out the vent.i know they usually suck oil into the cylinder when the seal goes bad,but could also go bad this way too.i would runn her hard then park it and right away pull the dipstick and see if you can feel or here pressure escape when you pull the stick.also, just try runnin a sepreate vent line off the trans and see if the problem quits.
  4. no it will not. call vitos and get a thumb throttle cable for the tors removal kit.the whole cable and tors eliminator kit will cost 50 bucks.the cable is prolly only 25 bucks.
  5. make sure your plug boots are good.i have seen them do that. they get loose and will not feed spark to the plugs.also check and make sure your flywheel key has not sheered off.my tri-z did that and the flywheel moved a 1/2 inch and would not run worth a crap.also if the the bike sat in a shed or barn for a few weeks,it is a long shot,i have had mice biuld a nest in my silencers, and plug the exhaust.they will ony idle and smoke a lot and will not rev up at all. that is just a longshot, them little critters are lookin for homes this time of year.
  6. thanks guys. he is bringin her over for me to look at this week and i wil llet you know what happened.i have extensive experience with shees ,but he does not.he said he washed it put it away and than bam.this funky stuff happened. i feel bad for him.it is his first quad and he already has rolled it, nothin major, and then this.i just dont want him to become discouraged with the whole atv experience.we will get-r-done
  7. my brother got his bike out a week ago fired it up and just let it idle.he put it back in the shed. yesterday he went to fire it up and the kicker will not move. so i told him to pull the plugs and see if it kicked thinking he filled the jugs with gas and locked it up. but no go.he said he left the gas off when he parked it.he did not even ride it it was fine when he put it away. now i know that they have a problem with the kicker idler gear coming off the shaft. do you think this is what happened to it. it is a low hour bike and i thought the cold had something to do with it.it has been like 20 degrees here for 3 weeks. i think the little c clip just got brittle and broke and let the idler gear fall off the countershaft. what do you guys think?the kicker will only move about a half inch and stops dead.
  8. sepultara biohazard and pantea. that is who i saw back in early 90s in cleveland.man that show was friggin sick
  9. they are a knock off of vitos pistons. i think the vitos are a little better
  10. well i would say, a better low to midrange hit. they claim to boost 4h.p. in the midrange. but then again, my bikes are all setup for low end like i said i have run them 2 years now and no problems.
  11. by moving the ports they alter the duration of fuel flow into the cylinders. hence that is how they get the power piston name. they work well. i run them in both my shees and i have over 200 hours on them. no problems. put them in and enjoy
  12. yes i think the crank has issues.pull off the jugs and clucth and stator covers. you should have no up or down play in the crank.grab the ends of the crank and lift it up and down. it should be tight. also there should be no up or down play in the rods.regardless, after all the damage from the 2 piston fialures, i am sure there is debris in the crank bearings. and yes a crank can be bad on one side and not the other, hence damaging only that 1 affected cylinder.then make sure when you redo the top end ,whoever does the boring, make sure the relieve or chamfer the portsn in the cylinders.other wise you will clip your rings on the sharp edges.
  13. you have dropped a crank bearing. that is all there is to it. it is not lean or whatever. you are chewing up rod and or crank bearingand they are bouncing off the piston. time to split the cases and put a crank in it. or you can just keep boring it and puttin in pistons until you run out of bores
  14. run a compression test on the cylinders. not the thumb over the plug hole. you should have at least 115 psi to run. check the vacumn tube between the carbs.they fall off a lot. and wont run good. it is 3 inches long and connects between the carbs. if they are stock carbs. also make sure you tors unit is unplugged from the tops of the carbs and under the fuel tank there is a little black box next to the coil. that is tors unit unplug that also.
  15. east coast atv in dirt wheels magazine can hook you up.
  16. awesome mod
  17. are you talkin about the little u shaped hole on the case? about halfway up the stator just behind the stator cover gasket?if so,it is supposed to be there. there is a little rubber plug that fits in there.
  18. cheater bar has worked for me. you can also use a porta power hydraulic ram kit. but you will have to chain or bolt the frame to the floor.or if the bike is all together yet, you can put the porta power between the swingarm and sub frame, use blocks of wood so you do not crimple the tubes on the bike, and start appling the pressure to the ram. they work good and you dont break a sweat. you can prolly rent a porta power at auto-zone or napa for 30 bucks.
  19. man that is more rock solid than death and taxes. right on the nose
  20. and some more
  21. here are some ofthe seats we have done at cosmicquads.com
  22. cool i will look into that
  23. get used to it. nature of the beast
  24. i run 2 into 1 motofast pipes on 2 banshees. i have got more low end than any four poke does. yaeh i suffer on the top end with them, but i hillclimb up mountains and need the low end punch.i would not recomend 2 into 1 pipes for top end speed. dont get me wrong my bikes will still pull 70 plus mph with the 2 into 1 but that is fast enough for me.i dont need the top speed for the ridin i do.plus you cant beat the sound a 2into 1 makes. sounds like a indy car on crack. i also run 12 tooth front sprocket. throw the bogg bottle in the trash.
  25. i have been lokin for those too. try jc whitney. the may sell bulk lenghts of them. but i do not know the reliabilty of them
