  1. Well I take it these banshees aren't worth much anymore , This is too good of a bike to part out , I would take $ 2500 cash if you pick up and throw in sand tires and all stock parts that I have . There isn't anything wrong with this bike I just don't have anywhere to ride it around here and gas is too high to go to sand dunes anymore .
  2. Here's a picture of the Banshee with the Rocket pipes it is the same but has Shearer pipes on it now , sorry for the delay about posting pics my camera quit working and was going to borrow one . I am located in Homer Louisiana , and am asking 2900 for the banshee , will include the set of sand tires , and have the stock head , carbs and pipes also. Contact Chris 318-927-5188

  4. Hi just wanted to drop in and try to catch up with . Been down here in Louisiana the past two years , anlalyzing large industrial engines , Has been very interesting . Anyway I have been neglecting my poor old banshee . It has been sitting for 18 months , covered in dust , never even started it . Well the other day got it out , blew the dust off , kicked it twice and it started . Naturally I had to go bother the neighbors , was a blast . Soon to be riding again, Holler at yall later , again hi to everyone.
  5. Hey guys I have been out for a long time , sorta a domestic issue . But I will return , when I get a computer . So just saying hi to everyone .
  6. loco, I am running 33 PWK's with 168 mains and 48 pilots but that is with a traditional ported 350 , I think your 12 port stroker will react completly different to jetting. I look at it this way... if your engine has very rapid port velocity it is going to create a greater pressure drop in the carb venturi area than , my little ole 350. This would allow greater fuel flow through the jets and past the needle which would give you more fuel into the engine than a engine with slow port velocity and the same size jets. So you could have smaller jets in your carbs than the next guy but still be getting more fuel due to the stronger signal on the carbs. I also just jet mine for me and the way I ride ,I think where you ride and how you ride effects jetting a lot, every bike is geared different , has different tires and different weight of rider , all of which effects the load on the engine and fuel ratio, so really ,jetting that works great for one may run like crap for the other even with the same engine. I think yall will come up with a recipe that will get everyone in the ballpark but won't be perfect for everyone, heck just try small changes and see what happens .
  7. You might try moving the clip on the needle up one notch and see if that helps, when I had mine jetted too rich it would run better when it was cold.
  8. Goofy?? I think they are .. as my daughter would say " tight" ! Notice how they follow the lines of the bike and the graphics on the tank. And no one gets to see them much anyway ... usally at the finish of the drags I'm the only one there.
  9. I don't have a stroker or 12 port " I wished I did" But when I was running my stock carbs I had a lot of trouble getting them tuned in , I finally did but it was a lot of trail and error. After I put the 33 pwk's on it made a world of difference , lowend is stronger and midrange is unreal and revs out forever on topend , so I do think I found the ideal size of carb for my engine. My real question is do any of you think that maybe the 35's my still be choking your 12port strokers down ? Causing all of these erratic jetting problems . Has anyone tried some 38's or larger?? Well I bet someone will find the right combo in time .
  10. Pro , there will be lots of drag racing , sometimes they get two strips going at once. The banshee will be a must have .. check out the pics in the images forum under "back from Little Sahara"
  11. I'll mark it down and try to be there , See if I can get the wife talked into it. Should be nice cool weather by then .
  12. Are you asking how a 4mm stroker runs because you want one or do ya have one already and it doesn't run like you want??
  13. When my brother and I were little tikes my dad built us a huge sand box in the yard ,hoping we would spread sand all over the yard to help soften the soil. So we .. played in the sand .. a lot and he kept it full of fresh sand. Now I guess I am additicted to playing in the sand forever. Built a few sandrails over the years and went through a few quads , now just ride around in the dunes with the family and harass a few at the drags.
  14. I don't have CPI's but my brother inlaw has them and we ended up with 290's for hot weather and 300's for cooler weather like 50to 70 degrees. This is at about 2400 elev. 300's would make it fall on it's face in 100 degree weather , even with clamp-on filters. But then again all bikes are a little different , so check your plugs.
