we checked with ours and it was about the same for 3 quads, they had 250 deductible and covered fire theft and damage, if you trash it on the trail, they will pay you for repairs, but they only would give us blue book value plus a 1000 extra for mods. so if ya got 7000 grand in your quad and blue book was 3600+1000 for mods that would only cover half the quad, but half is better than none

live over by wooster ohio,about 2 hours north of columbus. wellsville is more than nice, you cant imagine it till you go. you should check it out, would be about a 4 hour ride or less for you

expandable rubber freezplugs work good to seal the exhaust ports. any auto store sells them for like2 bucks.

i just use along punch and hammer. they come right out. set the punch on the inner race and hit each side evenely. magic racing sells a complete pivort works kit for like 35 bucks. the usually have it to you next day if you are close to michigan.then use a regular socket that fits the outer races to knock em back in. dont forget to put the spacer sleeve in before you put the last bearing in or your screwed -
buddies 250r was doing that and the rings were comin apart, better tear it down and check before you bust a piston skirt, could also be the left side crank bearing giving up, CHECK THE CRANK EXTENSIVELY, cus if you do a topend job and miss a loose crank bearing, boom ther goes your new top end. either way 40 bucks for a gasket kit to check it out is worth it to avoid 1000 bucks in broken parts, but it aint silencer packing sparking, make sure you pull the stator cover and check for movement in the crank bearings.

ebay is the best bet. the run around 200 bucks, but they are hard to find,very rare. i think a place called ritter cycle can get them. the are in the back of dirt wheels ads. or i think you can find them on the web and they sell them new around 4-500 bucks. as far as the pipe, the are great for low end and mid range espeacially if you trail ride,gear the front sprocket down to 12 teeth and it will have more tourque than a 4 stroke. topend goes away though.

pull the carb off. shoot carb cleaner in the intake port with the intake valves at full rest position, see if the carb cleaner stays in the head,if not your buddy did not time the engine right and it bent the intake valves during start up, or the valves are not correct for the head, the springs may need shimmed, but usually when a 400ex jumps time the intake valves bend 1st and do not seat in the head,

mine is 20 over ported and polished. 240 mains are perfect but alittle lean at wot. dont hold the thing wide open except for 2-3 second bursts, mife wifes is 40 over ported and polished and i run 250 mains in hers,it is perfect. both run motofast 2 into 1 pipes. my brothers is stock bore with motofast 2into 1 and he runs 240 mains it. it runs perfect.240 mains is right on

OK I PUT THE IMPELLAR IN WITH A 30 COOLANT 70 WATER MIX.I RAN THE PISS OUT OF IT IN THE YARD. SO FAR WITH MY TEMPGUN IT RUNS 20 DEGREES COOLER AFTER A ROMPING. STILL HAVE YET TO TRY IT IN THE TRAIL THOUGH. THANKS. OH YEAH IF I GO GET ONE OF THOSE COOL HEADS, THEN I GOTTA BUY LIKE 1000 DOLLARS WORHT OF MODS TO GO WHIT IT. i have beeen fighting this same problem all summer.it just started out of the blue. first i split the case and replaced shifting forks. that did not help. there was no damage at all with any internals. just the other day, i pulled the side cover and put a dirt digger clutch in with stock springs, my basket is mint. then i adjusted the centering pin that the shift shaft rides on. there is an adjustment for that in the clymer manual. it centers the c unit to the shift drum pins. put it back together and it shifts like normal now, my thoery is that i slip the clutch alot and i think i ruined the plates and they were sticking. check that and all your adjustments. it will probably help alot

they can be rebuilt, but sometimes the center shaft gets pitted or starts to hour glass so small you cant measure it. when that happens the new seals will only hold a fraction of the time they should and sometimes they blow again within 6 months. i have haerd a few instances of that. yuo can try east coast atv in dirt wheeels. i have dealt with them before and are pretty decent. they might hook you up with an 03-05 used shock for around 100- 150 bucks. in most cases that is cheaper than a rebuild and you will have it within a week. i just picked up an 05 on ebay for 94 bucks. it looks brand spankin new and feels brand new. you can try that but that was a rare find for ebay at that price

YUP 3M SPRAY TRIM ADHESIVE. LITTLE TRICK SAND YOUR BARS UNDER THE GRIPS WITH SOME 8O GRIT TO GIVE THE GLUE A PLACE TO STICK AND THEN SPRAY WITH BRAKE CLEANER AND LET DRY THEN USE 3M SPRAY TRIM ADHESIVE AND COAT THE BARS AND INSIDE OF GRIPS PUT ON AND ADJUST AND LET SIT OVER NITE. NEVER COME LOOSE ON ME THAT WAY. ALTHOUGH I LIKE THE BELT DRESSING IDEA. I WILL HAVE TO GIVE THAT ATRY. THAT IS SOME STICKY CRAP.BY THE WAY, HAVE YOU RIDDEN OVER A 4 STROKE LATELY?

thanks for the replys guys. i never heard any shearers. but i run 3 banshees and all have moto fast 2 into 1s. let me tell you when all three of us get on em at the same time, sounds like a crack addicted indy car race. we get people chasing us down and asking ( WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GUYS RUNNIN?) I LOVE EM. BUT I GOT TO BE DIFFERENT AND I AM CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A SET OF DMC 916S.BUT, I WELL NEVER GET RID OF MY 2 INTO 1.

hey guys, quick survey. which pipes do guys like the best as far as sound goes. which ones make your banshee sound like a freak? i personally like the dmc 916s, but i think motofast 2 into 1 sounds awesome.

as far as i know the hondas use a different puller. in most cases, if you go to the hardware store you can find a bolt to use in the center to force against the crank instead of buying a puller. but be very careful. that is how i remove them on 250x and 300 ex. i think they are the same setup with a 250r.dont quote me on that though. pull the cover and see what setup it has.

anyone use these pro design mega flow impellars? do they help with slow speed riding in woods with little air flow? after torquing around hill climbing at slow speeds mine gets a little hot. any other time it never gets hot. do they really make a difference in temps at slow speeds?
