  1. That bike looks freeakin awesome man.Great work on it. And to answer the first post,Yes I can get you new foam.In most cases for 65-75 shipped.Check out my website.I own www.cosmicquads.com Thanks guys!
  2. This is bad for the transmission.I have split severeal trans down becuase they were popping out of 2nd and third gears. When you do not use the clutch it puts too much load on the shifting forks and slams the gears together and this will grind up your shift forks and woller out the engagement cogs on the trans gears. When that happens shifting forks usually run around 30 bucks each and your trans gears run around 75 bucks each.Multiply those numbers by 3-4 pieces and walla. You just ruined around 5-600 bucks worth of parts.Just my 2 cents.I would be more concerned with why a blaster is beating your banshee.Do you have good tires? OR are they just spinning? Is your machine running well?
  3. We speacilize in custom one off seat covers and are a dealer for aftermarket and oem parts. www.cosmicquads.com
  4. I kept this one from a parts bike.It must be the old style stator.Any more input on those types,or should I just dump it and go back to stock?
  5. yes it has a factory plug that plugs right into the harness.but there is one extra white wire that you are supposed to tie into the regulator circuit and add a second regulator.I since have just gone back to one regulator and no change.at idle the lights are soo dim.when riding at nite if i have the rpms low on the bike i cant see a thing. when coasting down trails i have to keep revving the bike to see the trail.we all know the stock lights are not the best, but now they are 50 percent worse than stock.the only time they light correctly is when you are in the powerband,by that time you are over riding your view.
  6. Thanks for the advice guys. All those Items have been checked.I have other regulators and swapped them. The gap on the pickup coil is 19 thousanths. So that is good. From what I understood the pickup coil is just for spark.I did not know it was used for lighting.just thought I might have to run the ricky flywheel also.Dont the ricky flywheels have astronger magnet in them to match the 200 watt stator? Is that why the lights are dim?Guess I will just dump my stock stator back in.I do a lot of nite rides. Thanks
  7. I just put a ricky staor 200 watt stator in my 96 shee and I was told to wire in a second voltage regulator. So I did.My problem Is now Is that the lights are friggen dim as hell at idle like a cigarette lighter, and do not brighten up until about 4000 rpm.The lights are stock the flywheel is stock, and I disconnected the second regulator and no change.I never had this problem before.Do I need the matching flywheel to fix this problem?OH and there are no wiring problems or loose grounds.Been there checked that. The lights were fine on my stock stator, and when i put this one in they suck now.HElP Anyone?

  18. PM sent to you. 23champ, If you are searching the net for "coffin tuck" you will not find anything. That pic is a velvet with the designs pressed in (cool seat in pic BTW). Coffin tuck, is just that. The skirting they add in the coffin. It is a "tuck". This can be done with any fabric really...satin, velvet, etc. Hope I helped you there..... If you wanted something like that pic, you will want to look for velvet. The closest thing to "coffin tuck" would be wave velvet. Here a pic of what that looks like.....
  19. Cascade does do nice covers, but I have done a lot of seats that already have a Cascade cover on it. Their seams are soooo thick, that they actually dent your factory foam and ruin it forever. At $120 for a "custom" seat cover from them, that 10 other people will have, I don't consider that custom. We do seats one off to the customers preference, for a few dollars more installed, for what just a cover from them cost. For example...this red and black R seat, was carved out of Banshee foam (softer) to the 86 250r trike design, retaining factory lines. Custom cover made, installed, with matching fork boot covers, rear shock cover, for less than 2 bills shipped. Plus, who will you find to write "Fuck 4 Strokes"? I'll tell ya who, www.cosmicquads.com
