  1. You check the bike every ride. Not every few months. This helps prevent being stranded and or catastrophic failures that could cause injury.

  7. ^ that is so true. C12 is pretty average. I've messed with it all the way up to the C16 and even tried a few of their oxygenated blends. Q16 just seemed to need more compression then nesaccary in my opinion. At least when it comes to these little twins. Lately I've had great results with the oxygenated VP113. Pretty sweet stuff.

  12. Pop the head off. See where the piston sits sits at BDC. Should make the piston edge flush with the exhaust floor.
  13. Remember, if it's already configured around the plate then you're kinda stuck. No biggie if you put he work in to get it sealed up. The other reason guys hav got away from the plates, it puts the ports up a considerable amount higher. So running he cylinder down on the case helps keep some of the low end. Not a big deal on a drag bike, but for a rider it helps.
  14. Currently you need good race gas. If you want pump fuel, the fellas are right about getting new domes if that's the case
  15. Any idea what type of port work is done? Exhaust has some factor in this. Also what is the cranking compression?

  19. Alky is definitely only as reliable as you tune it to be. That said, there are plenty of play bikes on alky in the dunes. Quite a few guys here run nothing but alky in whatever kind of bike. You're gonna have to call a few builders to see what package they feel works best for you. Pipes will have to be some type of in frame drag style. Shearers, snipers, CPI, hand made ....... Carbs 35mm and up. The chassis, well obviously good arms and shocks. Minus 2 swinger for trails FTW!
