  1. Just run the straight 100ll and give it some timing. Hope you plan on welding the crank.
  2. This was with that mid 60's HP trail motor right?
  3. This. ASAP. And quit riding it till you do.
  4. If that^ is the case, get some premium and ditch that race gas. Jet it back up and see what happens. Race gas is intended for motors setup to run it. If you just chuck race gas in a regular old motor, it won't light it properly causing a loss in performance very similar to what you described.
  5. What is done to the head? If the answer is not much, that fuel is probably a huge part of your issues.
  6. can't go off the static compression alone. This thing is 5k in the sky so that shows low. 19cc domes put a stock cylinder motor on edge for pump fuel as is. If he intends on adding timing later the better fuel will help.
  7. Great upgrade. Do the master cylinder as well so you can make them far more progressive. No con at all for a trail bike.
  8. Potentially not sealed up after the new top end.
  9. At least the flywheel is mint.
  10. Why were you guys putting smaller jets in it? It's getting cooler, and it was bored so displacement was increased. If anything it needed more fuel. What gaskets were used to assemble it and What thickness? What fuel? Was the carb cleaned? Is the spark plug wet? How is the electrical?
  11. We also have a general off topic section where fellas post about their other rides. Lots of knowledgable fellas here who have owned many different toys and/or have plenty of two stroke experience.
  12. I am not usually one to do a leak down, but if you are still pretty new to wrenching and diagnosing 2 strokes, it's not a bad idea. It could show you if the motor suffered an air leak if you don't know what to look for. But like zilla said. A single side failure like that would usually be from a lean out. Was the bike idling kinda high or slow to return to idle?
  13. Did you leak down before you tore it apart? Not normally how I do it, but for a guy learning it's a pretty good way of determining what went wrong.
  14. Always drives me nuts to see all that work in to porting and sleeving, but no body welded the transfers up.... Do you have the reeds?
  15. Not sure those are available anymore.
  16. ^GAYBELLINE that you went there. But teuchè.
  17. ^ Tonight, did the whittle guy get it figured out?! Stay tuned...
  18. Ass n' tittays, ass n' tittays.... Ass ass n' tittays. BAN! (Jk haha)
  19. Then Dave 5.0 must be my new nemisis.
  20. Amsoil Supershift is ATF, but one of the best fluids I've ran. But, needs to be changed like ALL OILS. You won't find something that is acceptable to leave in there all year because you're lazy. You can find some better stuff from Bel-Ray, Motul, Maxima, etc., but they should also be changed every so often.
  21. If that's a 10mm crank, there is no way it's gonna work well with the niche cylinders. At least not without an astronomical amount of massaging. Typically most builders don't like to stuff more then a 7mm stroke in to stock cylinders. (Or stock style)
  22. I like the detail with the purple washers all over. Neat idea for any color scheme.
  23. Think it came up while searching and I just missed the date.
  24. Nice work. Never seen the pegs done that way, but surely that is quite stout. Looking forward to seeing the end result.
