  1. I would suggest a pair of 28's IMO, not too big and if you get some more mods they will still run for a good while until you start to get a lot more power.
  2. I just got my PC's on the other day and got her jetted in for now(the way the weather is going :ermm: ) And they pull really hard, even over the DG's which are maybe one horse better than stock. I couldn't believe how much difference it made. They also sound real nice as well. Once you get them jetted in, etc you will see how good they run.
  3. What us your elevation, air temp, mods, other jets?
  4. Why was it "closed" down? Iv been on there everyone once in awhile
  5. You would probably be good with a 15, as Loco said, probably wouldnt want to go up to a 16.
  6. I am running 13/40 right now. I am running that because i have 22" tires and they are a bit harder to pull. But now that i have my new pipes and it pulls a lot better, im thinking of MAYBE going up to 14/40, when i get a new chain. I think you will be good with 15/41, you will gain some speed on top and lose a bit of acceleration. I would say try it out and see if you like it or not. Also depends on what kind of riding you do.
  7. Could i just grind the two sides bigger and leave the middle divider in there by however much i grind down? Will this make it worse or as long as its bigger, it will help some to bring in air/fuel. Thanks Dinner PS Thanks for the offer Shee-Male, but im just going to grind them down probably
  8. Do you just grind away some of the cage away to make a bigger opening, or is there something else
  9. Hey, Was wondering how many of you are running or have run your own ported reed cages? I am thinking about maybe doing it to mine if the power is good and its fairly easy. I already have boyesen reeds.
  10. Once you are registered on there let me know your name, and do you have any pics of your truck? And what problems are you having with it?
  11. Have you tried dieseltruckresource.com? I'm registered on there and they are very helpfull
  12. Umm that is pretty rich, i would go up to at least 32:1, with 24:1 you will foul plugs quite a bit, i would think
  13. First time i used channel locks and just tugged on the end of the bolt. Next time i took it apart i used my hand, while wiggling the swing arm. So yes it is pretty easy, we both win  Then again when i put it back together the first time, i coated that thing with like 500 Lbs of grease

    Need New Head

Hey everyone, i am looking to try and find a used head to put on my banshee. My one that im running now is crap from the person i bought the quad from. Anyways since im getting new pipes, figure i'd check the top end and get a new head I'm looking for anyone that has either a stock head, domes in good shape, and shaved .015 - .030, nothing more. Or if anyone has a good NOSS head, etc for a good price that is in good condition. I do not have paypal so Money Order would be my method of payment. I would also like it to have domes so that i can run pump gas(91, 93 octane). Thanks A Lot Dinner
  18. I just bought some PC Pipes from a fellow HQ'r and they should be arriving soon. Once i get them on and get them tuned in ill report back to here. But from what iv read a lot of people like them/say they are good pipes. As already stated taking off the snorkle, and as long as you rejet properly, they will breath a lot better and you should notice a GOOD amount of difference over whatever you had before. Did you have Stock Pipes before you got these Pro's? If so you should be able to really feel them
  19. Not sure if this will help at all. But what i do to find out what cc something makes is this: (I'll use stock bore and stroke)...bore X bore X stroke X .0007854 X 2(number of cylinders). So it would be: 64 X 64 X 54 X .0007854 X 2 = 347cc Maybe this will help
  20. No 32:1 is fine for a stock engine, it will run better.
  21. I thought i saw a red and black wire coming going to each headlight, but i could be wrong  You guys wouldnt happen to have any pictures of your wires/hookups? Thanks
  22. Hey, i am thinking of buying a couple of 35 watt whatever kind of lights for my banshee. I have been reading topics saying that you cut some wires coming from the killswitch. Maybe i just dont see the answer, but why can't you just use the headlight wires that are already there? Just cut those and hook black to black, and red to whatever ever colour is on the lights. Would this not work? And i took apart my kill switch since shee wouldnt shut off, and the one ground has cracked off where it is soldered to the panel behind the switch. So would soldering it back on allow it to work again? I dont have a soldering tool so ill have to see what i can find. Thanks Dinner
  23. I would say you are lean if the choke has no effect pulled out. What do your plugs look like, and does it get easy?
  24. When i first bought my banshee it needed a new top end. So once i got it home, looked it over i got a new top end done on it. Got the pistons back and they looked like shit. Rings were stuck to the pistons, had some chips out of the pistons, etc. So i got it all bored out, etc. In the spring i took the cylinders and head off to re-paint them. I looked at my domes(stock head) and they had like nicks in them, almost looked like someone took a screw driver and would hammer it into the domes to make little nicks. I'm pretty sure that it is just from when the old pistons where in there, cause they are missing some pieces. This was in the spring, and it has been running strong all year so far on 91 octane. So i dont think im having detonation issues.
  25. I think that is how you spell it  But im wondering if anyone has some pics of what Detonation looks like on the pistons and/or head? Im just curious to see what it looks like so that when i check my head this winter i can see if anything is going on. I'v never really fully understood Detonation, so can anyone help me out :baseball_original: Thanks Dinner
