  1. I serviced the air filter right after I got it- it was nasty. I'll try swapping plug wires and mess with it this weekend- thanks for the tips. Ed I was also wondering if maybe they may have not installed the rings or top end correctly when they did the motor- I was given a box of old parts when I got it, which had the old reeds, crank, and pistons in it.
  2. When I changed the plugs the first time, the pipe was full of oil. The plug is black and wet when pulled. The jets were incorrect originally- I corrected it to 290 when I got it.
  3. I have a '96 shee that I just bought to add to my collection. The kid I got it from was using WAY too much oil in the gas. I got all the saturated gas out of it and have run one tank of my normal mc-1 mix through it. After I change the plugs, it starts first kick and runs great for about an hour, then only fires on the rh cylinder until I change the plugs again. The previous owner had the motor rebuilt by a Yamaha dealer about 3 months ago. The reeds look fine- what should my next step be?
